"Excellent Solution with Robust Features"

4/5

What do you like best about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

The system can support thousands of users and devices with high availability options, which is essential for large enterprises. CUCM integrates very well with other Cisco collaboration products such as Unity Connection and IM&P, providing a complete unified communications solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

Licensing and maintenance expenses may be somewhat higher than those of certain alternative solutions. Additionally, the administration panel's user interface is occasionally less intuitive, which can make troubleshooting more time-consuming if you lack the necessary expertise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) stands out as a robust and widely adopted call control platform, specifically tailored for enterprise-level telephony systems. Its comprehensive feature set and dependable performance have made it a favored solution among large organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Feature Rich but Complex"

3/5

What do you like best about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

CUCM is a feature rich VOIP solution solution that can handle any business voice needs. From external network calling, PLAR's (private line automatic ringdown), hunt groups, call forwarding, app support. My organization has yet to find something CUCM cannot support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

CUCM is very complex. While it is feature rich, every advanced calling feature requires an additional server, which often leads administrators wondering what server does what? It does create some stress keeping up with patching, server administration/management, etc. I have experience with other solutions that are able to provide a feature rich experience in a single pane. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) solving and how is that benefiting you?

CUCM is a reliable VOIP solution that I have no doubt can scale to any business size and needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Product is OK but the service and support is a dumpster fire"

0.5/5

What do you like best about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

It checks the boxes for minimum required features for a phone system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

The system is incredibly complex, UIs are almost intentionally hard to understand and are almost never updated. Everything looks like it was built in the 90s because it probably was. Getting service and support on anything in the system is just as painful as getting support from Cisco on anything else.

They make you jump through hoop after hoop regarding service agreements, licensing, user assignments and access. You'd think you were trying to break into Fort Knox every time you need help with something. This also seems intentional, you don't have to pay your support team as much when customers will just give up and workaround the problem rather than try to get help from you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) solving and how is that benefiting you?

It allows you to make phone calls. Whoop dee doo. For the price Cisco charges you would think it would do a heck of a lot more than that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Ferrari of Phone Systems"

5/5

What do you like best about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

As someone who has supported CUCM for several years, I can safely say that it is a workhorse. It's stability can be rivaled by only a few other pbx platforms, in my opinion. While there is a slight learning curve and of course requires the proper Cisco training and subject matter expertise to set you up for success, after proper hand-off the platform can be supported easily by analysts and will run-well for the most part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

The frequency with which you must upgrade to stay current may be a concern for larger entreprises. This can put you in a position were you are severely behind on version and have to scramble. It is important to plan ahead and make time for those upgrades to minimize overall work and impact to the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cisco is a robust pbx application, it provided voip service to our contact center and our admin staff. During covid , we were able to leverage Jabber to help transition our 2,000 contact center agents home in less than 72 hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
