It would be helpful if that was more seamless. **What problems is Cisco Secure Client solving and how is that benefiting you?** Obviously it adds a layer of security that we appreciate. ### 2. It has prevented crypto mining, malware and phishing email attacks. It gets the job done, and we currently have a four-year contract. **What do you dislike about Cisco Secure Client?** There is no visibility in the Umbrella Dashboard to what the client blocks it has blocked 3rd party software we use and is not malicious an example was CrowdStrike. **What problems is Cisco Secure Client solving and how is that benefiting you?** It adds a layer of protection for users on the network and when users are home for web and DNS security. The client was easy to deploy because most users already had the Anyconnect VPN we just had to add the Umbrella Roaming client to maximize the protection. ### 3. It also does exactly what is required: every company needs VPN security, especially because online attacks are prevalent now more than ever. This protects against cyber hacks and attacks as suggested, and every company needs to protect itself online. **What do you dislike about Cisco Secure Client?** Having to go through Cisco is a necessary evil. No one enjoys taking an extra 10-15 minutes each morning before work trying to fight past Cisco and just access your own files. It doesn't feel necessary to need your phone, laptop, and about a million security measures just to start the workday. **What problems is Cisco Secure Client solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm happy that, using Cisco, I'm able to work remotely instead of being required to go into the office and connect to their security measures. It's frustrating having to fight past Cisco to start my day, but it's a necessary step for making sure the company is secure online. ### 5. It doesn't crash or get stuck while running. It also remembers previous choices decently well. For example, you don't have to choose the region to connect with every time. **What do you dislike about Cisco Secure Client?** The client is very-very slow to start up Often loses connectivity to specific domains Loose integration with 2-factor authentication. e.g., one needs to type 'push' to get a push notification. An ideal VPN client would run in the background, with no intervention necessary. This one is far from it. It pops up once every few hours and needs reconnection. **Recommendations to others considering Cisco Secure Client:** I am not aware of other products available for this other than the Juniper Pulse secure client. This one is a little more preferable to Pulse. One thing that will make using this a lot better will be integrating 2-factor authentication better. Currently, one has to type push to get a push notification. It would be better if that were not necessary, and one could configure it always to send a push notification. **What problems is Cisco Secure Client solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is a client to connect to corporate virtual private networks. I have been using it on a mac, and find it to be stable for use mostly. It seems to be slightly better than the Juniper Pulse client, but not by a lot. ### 6. Generally speaking, the product works well and, from an end user perspective, is a solid tool that allows employees to connect to company resources **What do you dislike about Cisco Secure Client?** From an administrative perspective, you better know what you're doing - it's not for the faint of heart. Good pre-planning is even more important with this tool. Additionally, there seems to be MANY different versions of the ASA software and/or AnyConnect. I can't tell you how many times I've been asked about the recommended version to install / run. This causes an insane amount of frustration. **What problems is Cisco Secure Client solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have the need to connect remote employees to companywide resources inside our firewalls. This tool fits those needs nicely - albeit perhaps of an overkill ### 7. It allows for easy access to network files, software license servers and secure sites which are accessible when on site in the office. Cisco Anyconnect is simply and straightforward. It can be combined with a two step identity verification to ensure additional security. It lives up to to its name in that it provides security and mobility to employees and businesses. **What do you dislike about Cisco Secure Client?** Cisco Any connect is not entirely compatible with Microsoft Teams or Skype in that there may be video conferencing bandwidth, functionality issues when both Cisco anyconnect and video conference apps are active. Additionally, whenever the computer goes into sleep mode, Cisco Anyconnect automatically disconnects and requires login information to access the same files which one may have been previewing prior to stepping away from computer. This is a slight inconvenience and certainly trains me to ensure that I complete what I need on the VPN network prior to stepping away from my computer. **Recommendations to others considering Cisco Secure Client:** It is a great and user friendly software for your VPN needs. **What problems is Cisco Secure Client solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cisco Anyconnect allows for easy access to network files, serves and sites which are readily accessible when in the office. It enables the workforce to be able to work safely during quarantine without handicapping the employees range of access and ability while working from home. In my experience with VPNs, Cisco being a computer applications allows for simple and easy access to VPN. ### 9.
