Cisco routers comes with best routing engine. Really liked the Cisco ASR (Aggregation Service Routers) where Cisco overcomes from lot of issues that they have earlier with Old Cisco IOS routers.

And I really like the Cisco Support team, and very big community is also available which really helps while troubleshooting the issues on Cisco routers.

One of biggest thing Cisco had compared with every other vendor is its market leading certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE which really is awesome and help experienced and entry level professionals to be a part of Cisco community.

Support prices are bit high compared with rest of the market. Also Old Cisco platforms have throughput issues such as Cisco 2921, which are by the way going end of life.

Sometimes it feels like Cisco wants to create the monopoly in the market due to it generally uses proprietary based protocols. This sometime create the design and compatibility issues. I prefer Cisco over others in a professional environment. I like it has it's own standards which makes it the most secure and trustable (routers, switches, etc.). It's really helpful when teaching because their systems improve aditicional softwares to help us get better results like packet tracer which let us to create a simulation of the real situacion and though it we can detect errors instead of applying it to the real interface,

*As an ISP, we use cisco router for network manging purposes.our company basically offers lease lined services also broadband services to corporate clients and we managed and optimized our all network by using multiple router vendors like Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, etc.

As per my experience, we used the cisco 7600 series router for one of our main locations (core) to create or connect a VPN session of multiple corporate clients and give good services to customers.
