**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sasi K. | IT Manager, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Cisco Meraki?**

I appreciate Cisco Meraki for its centralized cloud dashboard, which makes managing firewalls, VPN, and network policies incredibly simple and efficient across both head office and branch regions. The real-time visibility and alerts provided by Meraki, along with its robust security features, significantly reduce troubleshooting time and enhance overall network stability. I also find the initial setup process to be very straightforward, with zero-touch provisioning and a smooth configuration experience thanks to the cloud dashboard. Once the VLANs and security policies are fine-tuned, ongoing management becomes extremely easy. Cisco Meraki has proven essential in managing and securing our entire network infrastructure across multiple locations, providing reliable VPN access, traffic visibility, and automated failover to keep our environment secure and stable.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Meraki?**

The costing for Cisco Meraki can be an issue, as some advanced features require additional licenses. The reporting capabilities feel limited compared to other enterprise tools. I think Cisco Meraki could benefit from offering deeper analytics, more granular firewall rules, and improved VPN performance. Also, firmware controls could be better.

**What problems is Cisco Meraki solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cisco Meraki to centrally manage and secure our network across locations. It provides a unified cloud dashboard for real-time monitoring and policy enforcement, solving the challenges of network security with features like threat protection, automated failover, and efficient troubleshooting.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olujide S. | Information Technology Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Cisco Meraki?**

My favorite feature of Cisco Meraki is how simple it is to manage using the cloud dashboard. Without being physically present, I am able to remotely monitor, configure, and troubleshoot devices in various locations in real time. The user interface is easy to use, updates happen automatically, and there is great visibility into network security and performance.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Meraki?**

I don't like Cisco Meraki since licenses and subscriptions are so expensive. Despite having good features, smaller enterprises may find the recurring costs prohibitive. Furthermore, some complex customization possibilities are more constrained than those of standard networking systems, which occasionally feels constrictive.

**What problems is Cisco Meraki solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cisco Meraki provides a solution to the challenge of managing a complicated network across several sites. It uses a centralized cloud dashboard to streamline monitoring, setting, and troubleshooting. My benefits include time savings, fewer on-site visits, and increased network dependability, which guarantees seamless connectivity and improved user experience across all sites.

  ### 5. Easy but powerful management system

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Cisco Meraki?**

The Cisco Meraki system stands out for its user-friendly interface and streamlined management experience. The cloud-based platform makes network management intuitive, allowing both IT professionals and less tech-savvy users to configure and monitor networks with ease. The Meraki dashboard is exceptionally well-designed, offering a clean, straightforward layout that enables quick access to detailed analytics, device management, and network settings.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Meraki?**

While I really appreciate the ease of use and sleek management interface of the Cisco Meraki system, there are a few things that can be a bit frustrating. For one, the cloud-based setup means you’re dependent on a solid internet connection, and if that’s ever shaky, it can cause some headaches. The subscription pricing can also be a bit steep, especially for smaller businesses—it’s not the most budget-friendly option. Plus, I’ve found the hardware options to be a little limited compared to other systems, so if you need a highly customized network, Meraki might not offer the flexibility you're looking for.

**What problems is Cisco Meraki solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cisco Meraki makes managing network access super easy. With its cloud-based platform, you can quickly set up and update access controls, ensuring only authorized users and devices can connect. The intuitive dashboard lets you monitor and adjust security in real-time, saving time and boosting peace of mind. It’s a simple way to keep your network secure without the hassle.

  ### 6. Cisco Meraki Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Usman S. | SRE, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Cisco Meraki?**

Meraki MX appliances offer a robust, cloud-managed solution with advanced security features and ease of use, making them suitable for a wide range of businesses.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Meraki?**

However, their cost, reliance on cloud services, and potential performance limitations may be of concern for some organizations.

**What problems is Cisco Meraki solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lack of visibility of backend features that can be enabled or disabled by Meraki to change the behavior of the appliance or entire network Lack of console connection for troubleshooting Meraki appliances can be more expensive compared to other solutions, especially for small businesses. Cloud-only management requires ongoing licensing fees that can add up or make your device a brick even if the hardware is still capable. Internet connection is mandatory for normal operation. Some features in Meraki MX might be limited or simplified (e.g. Firewall, Cisco AnyConnect) Limited customization options It is much a vendor lock-in situation and is usually natural to use Meraki MX in existing environments transitioning from Cisco Enterprise or green field deployments Some models might not be properly sized if the load is close to its limits Certain features might require additional expensive license
