I would hands down always recommend Catalyst Switches, but I'd suggest to start with a 2960X, for example, with the same fiber uplink We're using (10 gig) . From there, you can use the stack feature or even move to bigger Cisco solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Cisco Catalyst Switches?

I like the quality of a team that shows efficiency when working, I like that the company Cisco works 100% to improve its equipment and thus provide quality software to its clients. For me, one of the best companies for these network devices would be CISCO, as it offers me great convenience when interconnecting my devices and even easier when managing them, and I like that I feel very comfortable having high-security and high-performance equipment like Cisco's catalysts. What do you dislike about Cisco Catalyst Switches?

This question is very complicated to answer because a company with branches all over the world and thousands of communities seeking to have these devices in their businesses makes the CISCO company work to evolve every day and provide new updates to its customers, whether in terms of security or network performance. However, a potentially negative point in this is that the devices become very expensive, and for this reason, many other companies find themselves looking to obtain other equally good alternative devices like Microtik or devices from other brands. In my opinion, I recommend these devices not only because their quality is remarkable but also because they are backed by a solid company in the telecommunications market. Perhaps they could create some devices that are just as good as the ones they are currently developing but at a lower cost, so that many customers do not buy other devices from the competition. What problems is Cisco Catalyst Switches solving and how is that benefiting you?

Well, I use these devices in a corporate network, which is very well structured with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless routers, and IP telephony. I have to admit that for the time this network has been established, the devices have performed excellently and their management is to my liking. Despite how expensive they may be, I recommend these devices when it comes to interconnecting the necessary equipment to set up a secure, stable, redundant, and durable network. What do you like best about Cisco Catalyst Switches?

We are using Cisco Catalyst 2960,3560,6500 series switches in our organisation to manage whole network of our organisation.Cisco 2960-L are fixed-configuration, GigabitEthernet switches that provide entry-level enterprise class Layer 2 access for branch offices, conventional work spaces.We use 48 port models of all Cisco catalyst switches.Cisco 3560 series switches are layer 3 Fastethernet and GigabitEthernet switches and help us managing power consumption of our network infrastructure and network-attached devices.Cisco Catalyst 6500 switches supports end-to-end operational consistency benefits also it provides maximum uptime with redundancy and supports both Cisco Catalyst OS and Cisco IOS Software Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As all the Cisco Catalyst Switches i.e 2960,3560,6500 which we are using in our organisation works at gigabit speed which makes our network reliable so we have used them in stack method.We have stack racks of 4-5 switches in which we have used switch stacking method so if in case any switch goes down it would not affect any user's work.Using Cisco Catalyst Switches had really makes us to create our own network making it reliable. What do you like best about Cisco Catalyst Switches?

The Cisco switch series are high-tech devices, I like them because they really have everything a LAN needs. Any company with a serious infrastructure needs to implement a switch, and the best choice would be Cisco, depending on the network's requirements. I really like the number of features and functions they have; they offer a variety of quite good configurations to implement various technologies, such as VLAN, STP, Etherchannel, Portsecurity, among others, which are necessary for a business network. What do you dislike about Cisco Catalyst Switches?

It is really a point that must be taken into account because many people do not handle this range of Cisco, which is really a negative point for the Cisco switch is its learning curve, it is very long, it takes several months or even years to learn how it works, its configurations, etc., it is quite complex, but once you have the basic knowledge, it is possible to do many amazing things, although we could also say that their prices are somewhat higher compared to other companies that make switches, but in consideration it could improve for that brand. My recommendation for Cisco Switch is to always maintain constant learning about these devices. Also, for any company that wants to implement a LAN network and stay interconnected with the internal hosts in a focused manner, they will have the highest security and network control.
