The complete package received is very cost effective compared to other products in the market place. You only need to pay for modules that you use. Support is extremely quick, and for the most part they know what they are talking about and issues are resolved promptly, EDITED - zero customer support and feedback since becoming Cin7. I feel that they need an experienced accountant on their IT team as there are "holes" in their programming that really should not be there and often we are only talking about basic accounting. There is no age analysis Reporting is in general very poor and difficult to navigate and find what you are looking for No report for credit notes not restocked Ability to not have discount on a single item Authorisation for credit notes is linked to invoices instead of being stand alone - Many small issues that if fixed will make a monumental difference to the users EDITED - ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT NOW SINCE CIN7 TOOK OVER - SINCE THEY CANT KEEP THEIR OWN PAID ADD-ONS WORKING IT IS TIME TO LOOK FOR OTHER ALTERNATIVES WHERE THE CLIENT IS NOT TREATED AS A CASH COW Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. After calls with three salespeople, onboarding teams, and more, not once did anyone mention that cancellation had to be initiated via a button hidden in our account. As a result, we’ve now been charged another ~$1,000 for a product we never used, on top of the $2–3k we spent initially just to get set up. This lack of transparency in the cancellation process is unacceptable. Beyond billing, the platform itself fell short of expectations. The B2B portal was not to the standards we required, the POS system felt isolated, and overall the software is starting to feel dated. While Cin7 does have extensive features, that breadth makes training your team a long and costly exercise. Modern systems with AI support and native API integrations (such as Shopify) have made platforms like Cin7 less essential and more of a legacy choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. It was intended to solve our inventory and ordering problems, some of the selling points were the B2B platform, POS system, and AI forecasting tool. The interface looked promising and the feature list seemed like it could support a growing business. Unfortunately, that promise never translated into real results. We signed up hoping for a smooth, scalable platform — but onboarding was disorganized and support was incredibly unhelpful. Every time we asked for guidance, the answer was, “Unfortunately, that’s not possible.” We never fully onboarded, never used the platform, and despite communicating all this early on, CIN7 refused to issue a refund. They’ve since gone silent and ignored every follow-up. As a small business, it’s extremely disheartening to feel dismissed and taken advantage of. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. We were told upfront that we’d be able to report on anything. That was a lie. Their reporting capabilities are shockingly limited, and we couldn’t even pull basic data from the system. We told them how important this was for our operations and they did absolutely nothing. We never even used the platform beyond testing its unusable features. When we asked for a refund, they flat-out refused. No accountability. No ownership. Just silence. As a small business, we feel robbed, both financially and in terms of time and trust. There are so many features available in Cin7, and they are laid out and presented very thoughtfully. The UI is clean and very natural to navigate. While it definitely takes some time to get things setup, there are lots of guides available to help you along the way. Cin7 is a powerful ERP and automation tool that will help any business scale and automate their back end processes. The support team has also been very helpful, and they have tons of integrations available to connect to your other platforms. Edit after using Cin7 for ~ 1 month - we have had major difficulties moving forward with Cin7. The Shopify integration basically does not work. Orders are missed, inventory is not updated, and no notifications or error messages are provided. We have had major business impacts due to this issues. The Cin7 support team is now basically non-responsive, and any attempts to plead with our Account Executive in the US for any sort of help have been turned into opportunities to try to upsell us on their "onboarding" plans. Loading data from Xero and Shopify was helpful for the transition, but so far I haven't found anything that's materially better than our last system (which we only moved from due to Shopify integration being ditched). No consolidated snapshot of Sales Orders, Revenue or Profit in one place - basic KPIs you have to go hunting for or manually calculate, or are completely inaccurate on a cash basis or are incorrectly named. No ability to view product margin before making a sale - how do you know if or how much to discount or raise your prices? No ability to see what product a customer purchased in summary view Extremely buggy integration with Shopify, errors and failure to sync happening everyday; makes the whole process very manual. Unnecessary steps in sales and purchase process which can't be turned off. What do you dislike about Cin7 Core? It's bad software at the root of it. Sales team is nice, product is grossly overpriced at the new rate of $400/month base compared to the $200. Just 5 users. 100% price increase explained by increased costs. We're a small nonprofit and the extra $200/month is going to be tough on us. Xero integration is horrible. Software is horribly slow, roadmap is atrocious and the customer support has the empathy of a stone. Ask for support and you're really better off figuring it out on your own. It does do the actual inventory movement and management very well. Movements, BOM's, transfers, stock adjustments. That is the only good thing I can possibly say about the software. What do you dislike about Cin7 Core? 100% don't count on it for good customer support. That was never there to begin with, but when DEAR was bought out it got even worse. Don't count on it for financial tracking. Don't count on it for good reporting at all Don't count on it to work very well, its very clunky. Don't count on getting communication from the company about good bugs. Also they are greedy crooks raising the price 10% out of nowhere because they claim they are improving the software. More below: We recently went through the process of evaluating potential IMS software for our company after the retirement of Tradegecko/Quickbooks commerce. Cin7 and Dear were two of our options, they both have common ownership. When we decided on the software we would like to use our sales contact officially applied for the discount they had offered us (in writing) and we've been stuck for a week and a half in limbo. We've been told that we can't get the promised pricing because we were considering both of their pieces of software simultaneously, which doesn't seem at all relevant. We're extremely disappointed with this company and whilst we will use their software, we'll be unable to ever recommend it to other businesses after having such a terrible experience signing up. Missing simple things like setup times in processes. Shop floor app is poor. The biggest issue is the support, our product expert was not knowledgeable about the product. Admitted they had never used the app I had questions about and gave me incorrect information regarding certain critical features. I reached out for a new product expert, which they assigned to me and said would reach out, but never did. If support has been this poor during evaluation, I fear for support when live.
