I think the user interface of CIN 7 is quite nice-looking. It’s easy to navigate, works well, and functions reliably. It also integrates smoothly with the workflow automation tools we use, such as zapier, which allows us to pull down sales orders/orderbooks and delivery notes quickly and efficiently. Performance-wise, we’ve never had a problem, and it’s always been quick to respond. I’d also say the pricing is quite decent for what you get. I like that the base pricing is fairly cheap, and if you need add-ons you can simply pay for them separately with no fuss. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Cin7 Core? I think the biggest challenge is the learning curve; there’s a lot of functionality to master right from the get-go. Onboarding people who aren’t tech-savvy can be quite tricky if you don’t have a member of staff who really knows their way around software. I’d say the capabilities of the program itself are almost endless; however, as a small-ish business, we may not necessarily have the skills required to run this software to its full potential. Before implementing it, we spent a lot of time managing inventory in spreadsheets, manually updating stock levels, and reconciling orders across multiple channels. It was easy to make mistakes and lose track of what was actually happening. Since moving over to Cin7, we have much better visibility and control over our operations. Inventory is always up to date because it’s automatically adjusted based on orders. Overall, the biggest benefit has been the time savings: tasks that used to take hours are now largely automated, which means the team can focus on more important things that accelerate business growth. I appreciate that Cin7 Core has reduced the amount of administration and provides a clear picture of our stock at any one time. The seamless integration with Xero is an added benefit for accounting. I like its simplicity, ability to allow changes to templates, and the intuitive software design. Interactions with the Cin7 Core team members have been excellent and extremely helpful. I find it challenging that customer part numbers can't be added to our SKUs. I like how we can control all the templates and the B2B visual. It is fairly user-friendly. Lots of tutorials, and the Academy is great. We got the onboarding focused plan. I wish the B2B could display only the store we want instead of either only one or all. The Sale Orders have limited features. It is not possible to merge 2 or move items to another SO. In the Sales pages, I wish it were possible to filter by status. There are lots of different status and they don't match the preset filters which we find to be confusing. I find that most pages are missing a multi-filtering option. Ex: In the Product Availability page, it is impossible to filter for a specific brand, on Hand greater than 0 and inventory for store 1 and store 2. To see that, you have to export in Excel. I wish there was a master search field where I could type the name of a page to access it quickly. The ChatBOT is useless. Impossible to mark some inventory as not-available. So far it is an intuitive system and easy to navigate. The implementation is key and you must pay attention and rewatch the videos numerous times to get the hang of it. I had no prior inventory system experience so I'm sure it was more of a hill for me to climb and I did it. The implementation team, Zoey Dutton and Emma Sawin, are fantastic. They took time with me to make sure I understood workflow steps, answered my emails within 24 hours, and were willing to give more detailed answers knowing my lack of knowledge about inventory systems in general. I like the simple interface that makes it easy to navigate, and I like that you can do so much in one system and include many integrations so that all of your systems can work together. The support team is really helpful and knowledgeable also. We got great knowledge from our onboarding specialist, Shuaib, who was very friendly, and was always on hand to support us when we needed it. The reporting module could do with a bit of work as the customizations in it are a bit limited. It would be great if there was an easier way to get notified about the need to reorder stock. We have multiple warehouses but Xero does not allow us to track inventory movements across warehouses. Cin 7 Core was the solution for us as it enabled us to track items across warehouses and do much more including product assemblies and production runs. The variety of reports available was also useful for monthly inventory reporting purposes. We've been using Cin 7 Core for five years and it's been working well. The customer support was also prompt and ready to resolve any issues we had. The Academy guidance on configuring shipping costs could not be found, nor could I find any appreciable detail on how to configure the Product BOM. What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you? We currently do all inventory on spreadsheet than transfer to MYOB. MYOB uses 'Weighted Average' costs to work out Cost of Sales. Using Cin7 will allow us to do 'one-time' entry to a system. The system is cloud based therefore allowing us to see what is happening live (instead of waiting 24hrs or more for an update.
