## Churchteams Reviews
  ### 1. ChurchTeams makes our jobs easier!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The text-to-church functionality is incredible. We have used it for everything from giving to group sign-ups, and most recently even to send people to things like the bible app!

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The most frequent thing we have heard is that the user interface for giving is not the best. More specifically, it is difficult for members to change their recurring gifts. Rather than just updating the amount or the frequency, you have to cancel one recurring donation altogether and start a brand new one with the new amount/frequency.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have utilized automation for first-time guest connections by setting reminders for leaders to follow up with guests. We have also developed an excellent prayer ministry by utilizing text-to-church, allowing our church members to send in their prayer requests directly to the prayer team at any time and from anywhere.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thanks for nice review and upgrade idea!

  ### 2. Good software. EXCELLENT service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam C. R. | Principal Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The customer service team is fantastic. They respond quickly, offer solutions, take suggestions are fun folks. Texting features (especially text-to-church) are fabulous. Excellent for managing groups. Pricing is very good, especially for a smaller church. Love having the complete interface on my phone without an external app to get in the way.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

I'd like to see calendar integration and a more intuitive scheduling system, especially when it comes to templates and recurring events. It's been difficult for my leaders to implement.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team communication (worship, Christian Ed). CRM features for contacting and logging interactions with parishioners is a nice plus.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you for doing this review!

  ### 3. Database, Check-in, Workflows - Tools Galore!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua M. | Discipleship Minister, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The flexible database allows you to create any type of sign-in, record any number of data entries, and search for any parameter you might think of. As a database, Churchteams is top-notch! The group database is great and has the flexibility to be used for any number of other tasks. ChurchTeams is a truly spectacular sandbox for community data entry.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

I want a more intuitive workflow system that would allow me to track the discipleship progress of our Church Members. Although these values can be recorded under personal profiles, it would be great to be able to put them at the top of the flow and have them move through it with a click of a button!

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've used Churchteams to develop a small group coaching structure, track a variety of church metrics, and provide meaningful follow-up with first-time attenders. While it's not initially apparent, CT has so many tools that can be adapted for a variety of different tasks.

  ### 4. Best, most intuitive and cost efficient church database around

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marty M. | associate pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

This is a user-friendly, intuitive database. I learned how to get started on the basics with their sample database and teaching videos. We have had multiple users learn on their own how to create the different setups needed for check-in, sign-ups, finances, small groups, etc. We had two different systems prior to churchteams, including a high priced, well known, fancy system that even flew out a person to help train us but still made little sense due to the use of their own language that in no way connected with church ministry on the ground. Runner up reason is the customer service. They are always available and have even changed things in their programming at our request, which we never would have expected. It is unusual how good the customer care is.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

We have yet to discover a downside. The only thing I'd say is that we don't use it in the "teams" based way that they have created which opens the door for all church member access.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

If you are looking for a usable church database, this is the one!

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Churchteams solved the problem of database systems that aren't user friendly. With past systems we could at best get one administrative person up to speed on how it works. This allows our administrator, any staff, and even needed volunteers who do a specific function to use the system. We use it for small groups, general church roster, ministry teams, individual and recurring events, childrens ministry check in, communication, and finances.

  ### 5. An awesome communication and church management tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keith I. | Lead pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Churchteams allows us to have access everywhere all the time. To track attendance, communicate to others and move people through the steps of discipleship.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The only thing that would make Churchteams better is if they also developed an app or a more text type way of responding to text messages.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Instead of trying to piece your church management software together from a number of different services and end up paying a lot more for things that don't work together - try out Churchteams.com for free! And I guarantee once you use it - you'll want to keep using it. It only gets better as the team there is constantly improving their software based on needs we have emailed requesting.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primarily it is our go to resource for communicating with people according to their individual desires. But their text to give functionality makes reviving and tracking donations easy.

  ### 6. All-Encompassing Program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Movement C. | Operations Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

What I like best about ChurchTeams is how helpful their customer service is. ChurchTeams is an all-encompassing program that has many facets. We can manage a wide range of data with this particular application (attendance, membership, tithing, pledges, groups, etc.) While it may be intimidating at first, Church Teams offers free educational resources so you can get the most out of your subscription.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

While ChurchTeams has been extremely helpful with their capabilities, they still some areas of improvement. For example, their ability to communicate between pledges and tithing needs significant improvement. We recently conducted a capital campaign, and every single commitment had to be manually entered by an administrator in our office. Ideally, Churchteams will continue to make updates, which they have proven they are committed to.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before ChurchTeams, we had no way of reporting data. By incorporating ChurchTeams into our day-to-day office functions, we can report tithing by individuals, by households, by month, by year - the possibilities are endless. We can now use this data to gather educated guesses regarding the future of our organization and our general budgets.

  ### 7. Love Churchteams!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Churchteams is the all in one product we need for our church! The staff appreciates the ability to create registrations, send emails, and set up volunteer groups all in one place. The Giving module is so easy to use with the ability to text a keyword or create a link for donations.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Pledges should be a module and an attribute. It's very clunky having to set up a registration then go into each member to enter manually. We are still getting comfortable with reports but my first suggestion would be for all reports to have the export to excel option.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staff can create their own emails and registrations once trained, freeing up the need for additional admin support.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you for the nice review and suggestion. We upgraded the pledge registration feature shortly after you wrote this article. You were right! It is so much better now.

  ### 8. Churchteams has helped us in so many ways

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony D. | Executive Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

They are very responsive to our needs. They have taken suggestions from us and turned them into reality on their service. Their support is excellent, and they continue to improve their product.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Sometimes the system is not user-friendly for specific tasks.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They handle the database for our church. All of our small groups are tracked and maintained in their system. We use them for child check-in, event and class registrations. We also use their giving solution for online, text, and in-person offerings.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you!

  ### 9. Churchteams Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Easy to add access to staff and lay leaders, the customer service is really good. If we've ever had a problem they always get back to us really fast and are able to help!

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

It does glitch fairly often where it won't load pages or save the email drafts, or find people that I'm looking up. So I have to open a new tab and re-log in. It's a tad annoying!

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

I think it's a good option for churches to look into church databases.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are the benefits of having all of our church people in one place. There are lots of features like baptism dates, wedding dates and children's check-in is simple too.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thanks for recognizing our support team. We work hard to work hard for you. Did you see the email templates drop-down that saves draft emails for you? We added that for the exact problem you were seeing.

  ### 10. A Great Gift to the Church

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The power of churchteams. The great support too

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Slight learning curve with the interface

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Love it for us as a smaller church

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping the church connected

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thanks for this nice review. We love churches of all sizes!

  ### 11. Great Features and Value!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clyde E. | D, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Text features that utilize the software for groups. With that the ease of use to set up events/registration/payment

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The reports feature can be difficult to use, but their support has been great to help!

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are helping our follow up of visitors and church members. Great check-in options for all the ministries! Savings on giving transactions, combined usage to eliminate the need of other software subscriptions.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you for doing this review!

  ### 12. Churchteams Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

I have worked with Church teams for nearly 15 years. The system is easy to navigate, customize and over the years the creators and support team have added additional functionality.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

As our non-profit grow its donor base, there is some intuitiveness lacking that would support our fundraising process.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Churchteams has allowed us to collect donor information in one clean space, provide annual giving statements, and segment supports into groups. Over the past 15 years, Mark & Boyd have consistently prayed for our team, responded to needs of our agency and helped us to build a solid system to contact donors and increase giving.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you for doing this review!

  ### 13. Many flexible features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca H. | Treasurer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

If i had to pick just one, having the ability to upload giving from a CSV file is a huge timesaver for me. My check scanner software allows me to remember checks and assign a customer number. By using the CT member number, it is easy to download from scanner software and then upload in CT. And the Cost!

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

My area is finance, so in that area, I like the least is not being able to format giving statements.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

It is a very comprehensive software, so drill down to your area and make sure you understand how CT will work for you. With all new things, there might be change, but I have found the to be for the better in CT. Take the time to think through the setup so it will best work for you. The support team is excellent, and they will help you anytime!

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Registration for trips & programs allows the person in charge to be able actually to track the status of who has registered and paid. As the Treasurer, this has been a big time saver for me. It also allows for ease of reporting.

  ### 14. Best church software for the price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter C. | Associate Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The ease of use. It really is something I can hand to a volunteer and within 30 minutes they are completely self sufficient.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The mass texting options are not as easy to group your entire church in for one text

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped us close the door. People come and without them feeling forced, they are moving deeper in our assimilation

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you for doing this review!

  ### 15. Churchteams: A great Asset to our Church

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenifer D. | Pastor for Administration, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Churchteams reflects:
1. Deep insight into the operations of a church for the 21st Century
2. Deep insight into the spiritual call of a church for the 21st Century
3. Consistent, thoughtful, and proactive development
4. Unparalled service
5. Friends: brothers & sisters in Christ
6.Churchteams helps our church to effectively and efficiently:
a. Manage small groups
b. Manage workflows
c. Maintain, update, and utilize member data
d. Mantain funds
e. Enhance giving options
f. Centralize data
g Build teams and mobilize human and material resources
h. Integrate

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

1. Not having the time to learn and use all the wonderful features
2. Not having the ability to allow users individual specific capabilities only. In other words, task capabilities rather than role capabilities (or maybe I need to learn this?)
3. Sometimes the speed (which may be my internet or computer)

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Go Churchteams! You will not regret it.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Churchteams helps our church to effectively and efficiently:
1. Manage small groups
2. Manage workflows
3. Maintain, update, and utilize member data
4. Mantain funds
5. Enhance giving options
6. Centralize data
7. Build teams and mobilize human and material resources
8. Integrate

  ### 16. Church Teams is Extremely Flexible

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lane N. | Executive Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The best thing about Church Teams is the flexibility of the program and their ability to adapt to your needs.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

There is very little to dislike. If we have any issues and are able to either call in or email a support person who is able to help us find a solution. Or, in some cases, they are able to make changes to the software that will create a solution.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

There is a lot to offer. You will really need to study the system and figure out how to implement to your needs. There is usually several different ways to organize your data and how you implement the system.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to use the text feature for people to check-in to worship during the Pandemic was helpful as we attempted to stay connected during a difficult time. Also, the online features for people to give to the church allowed our church to stay financially healthy during this last year.

  ### 17. Best database software and customer support for churches

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica M. | Media & Administrative Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Church teams offers so much. If you want it to do something, it can, or they will figure out how to make it happen. It is evolving to better suit churches. I love the automation that they have recently added and made available; it allows us to do the work behind the scenes and then the program works for us instead of us working the program. If you ever have an issue, the customer support is the best that there is, hand down. They are quick, knowledgable and availble.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

There are so many things that you can do with Churhteams, that sometimes it can be a little overwhelming while training new staff members or volunteers.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to track people and their involvement. We can better follow up with people and connect with them. This helps us take time out of the task stuff so that we can focus on people. It is quick access for people to access our church diretory and with text to church it allows one more way that people can connect and sign up for events.

  ### 18. Fantastic Church Management Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris J. | Associate Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

ChurchTeams is super easy to use yet offers an incredible number of powerful features that make it easy to manage your church, groups, events, volunteers, and so much more. It is the best church management software we have ever used, and we've tried quite a few. ChurchTeams makes it super easy to access whatever information you may need, create detailed reports, and customize your groups, classes, registrations, and events. ChurchTeams is super customizable so you can make it fit whatever needs your ministry may present. One of the best parts is that the ChurchTeams team is constantly updating and adding features to make the program even better. The customer support is some of the best I've ever seen - they are super responsive and helpful, and have often added features based on our specific requests! We love Churchteams!!

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Very little. We have yet to find a flaw that they have not quickly addressed or offered some type of solution.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ChurchTeams has changed so much of the way we manage our ministry. It has made tracking volunteers so much easier and we know exactly who is helping where and for how long. It has also made registering for groups and events so much easier. Registrations are completely customizable and you can request or track whatever information you might need. What has been one of the most revolutionary features for us is the "text-to-church" feature which makes almost everything available to church members right at their fingertips. Whether they want to check their kids into their classes, sign up for an event, use an online connect card, communicate a prayer request, download a bulletin or newsletter, or so much more, it is all available with a single word text on their phone. This feature has totally eliminated our need for paper sign-up sheets and drastically reduced the number of tablets we need around the building. Everything is available right on your phone. ChurchTeams has also made a dramatic difference in our giving and the ease of giving. We have tried several other online giving vendors but ChurchTeams is, again, the best and least expensive. Online giving (or text-to-give) is super simple and easy to use. People can also access their giving record from any device and easily see their giving history or track their progress in a capital campaing or other pledge.

  ### 19. It is a simple but powerful program that meets our needs.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ner Moo K. | IT Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

I like it's flexibility and cost effectiveness. It has combined a powerful database with tools that has made communicating easy. We were able to save money by getting rid of redundant programs for emailing and texting groups of people. We looked at multiple programs that were not as powerful and way more expensive with features that we would never use.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The reporting features are a little clunky. It isn't as intuitive for some of the users. I often have to create the reports for the staff and wished that they could do it themselves. Although, this might be the situation with other programs. I also do not like how anyone can change the information without an approval process. We spent a lot of time correcting information that was changed by the members. You can't lock down sections without taking away viewing abilities.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Make sure you know what you want to do with your information and the capabilities of your staff. Knowing what you are putting in and where you are putting it will grately reduce the amount of time figuring out how to get that information out to be used. Also, limiting the number of people inputing the data will help keep the system more accurate.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted one place for the staff to input data about the congregation and the worship services. We had several different incomplete and inaccurate contact lists in the past that were not being shared. Churchteams has helped us not only to centralize the information, but has also helped organize it in a way that could actually be used by anyone on staff.

  ### 20. For a group focused approach to church management, Churchteams is a great choice.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Curtis S. | IT Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

This product clearly started life as a group management tool. It has since expanded to cover most aspects of church management, including check in with a lot of great tools for children's check in. Churchteams is also very responsive to customer feedback. They have been very helpful when we have contacted them.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The main down side is that there is no API interface for programmatic access to the data contained in Churchteams. If that's important to you, this may not be the product for you. The interface could use a refresh. It's clear that the product was initially developed a while ago. While some updates have been made, it is still a bit legacy-looking.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy group management, attendance, tracking, etc. From the smallest home group to Sunday morning services. Easy to use, and pretty intuitive. Good reporting features as well. Tracks finances and giving. You can store private notes only visible to select users. It also makes very good use of a text (SMS) interface. For example, we encourage our congregation to text the word HERE to our number and we can track attendance for some members this way.

  ### 21. Community Liaison

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kareemah E. | C, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Ease of use, the ability to create as many groups as we need. Also the ease of use for the small group leaders

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

I wish we didn't need the carrier name to use the text function

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps our small group leaders be organized and keep up with their member data

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> You no longer need to provide the carrier. This is now done for you with a utility within the software. This allows you to Text for free. Use Text-to-Church for texting from a 10 digit phone number. It's pretty amazing!

  ### 22. A+ Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The staff at ChurchTeams have always responded quickly to my questions and concerns. Whether it was via email or over the phone, I always had an answer within the hour (though usually sooner). They offer excellent education that is free to everyone and the program itself is very easy to learn.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Like many databases that cater to a wide range of organizations, it doesn't always give you a direct route to what you need. However, they are always willing to put in the extra work, find you work-arounds, or create reports for you.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

The customer service and attention to detail you will receive from the CT team alone will outweigh their competitors. They have proven to us that they are growing and changing with new technology, and we plan to be lifelong partners of Churchteams.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving so many problems with Churchteams. We are tracking donations and exporting data regarding designations and income. We are monitoring members and their attendance/engagement habits. The benefits of the data have been insurmountable. We've been able to make educated guesses regarding the future of our organization with the data we pull from Churchteams.

  ### 23. We love using ChurchTeams!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark G. | Executive Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

ChurchTeams has been a game-changer for us. As our church continues to grow in numbers and campuses, we needed a system capable of growing and adjusting with us. We found that solution in ChurchTeams. The staff is incredibly helpful, responsive, and always willing to learn and adapt their system.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The software is excellent. No real issues. The layout could be a little bit more attractive and less functionally looking.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ChurchTeams plays a crucial role in making sure that our church stays organized and works efficiently. It provides the foundation and structure that we need to do ministry and help people. Due to its tremendous and easy-to-use functionality, it allows each of our staff and ministries to have ownership of their area inside the system as well as to use the different features to improve and maximize their ministry continually.

  ### 24. Love it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jami B. | Associate Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Love being able to keep up with our teams and the ease of editing the platform.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

When sending out mass text it splits up the text if it has to many characters.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to search specific groups and able to contact them.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you for the great review! The message splitting was particularly bad with Verizon. We recommend keeping texts within the 159 character limit. The telecoms are working to make sure they don't become emails.

  ### 25. We love Church teams and how user-friendly it is! Their support team is also amazing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

We love their customer support team (response time is very fast). Boyd has wonderful webinars that help answer all your questions when beginning with Church Teams.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Nothing major to review. We know they are still in the developing stages, so there are features they are working on adding.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

If you have questions before joining with Churchteams, Boyd will meet with your team and help you answer your questions. We thought that was the most impressive thing about them. The CEO goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable with the system and that all your questions are answered.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reports are so much easier to run rather than our last database. We are able to be more efficient in getting reports and emails out to our church members.

  ### 26. My Favorite Church Database Software.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David E. | Administrative Minister, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Churchteams is powerful, pretty intuitive to use for staff, and very easy for the congregation because of the text-to-church feature. This feature can be used for any number of things, registering for events, checking in for attendance on Sundays, and sharing links to sermons, just to name a few.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

They don't yet have all the reports I would like to see on the giving side, but they listen to users very well and will probably develop those in the future.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are adding more functions all the time and finding more ways to have the software work for us. I especially like the scheduled reports which enables me to have the system send me reports to trigger me to do the work I want to do.

  ### 27. Best church database I've used in 20 years of ministry!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin S. | Family and Discipleship Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Monlthy reports are great. We also love being able to contact church members via email and text.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Sometimes ChurchTeams isn't as intuitive as I'd like for it to be. I would also prefer for the texts that go out to look more professional.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to communicate better with church members, stay on top of attendance and kid check-in, and see who we need to reach out to.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thanks for doing this review. Let us know more clearly what you mean by more professional texts. There are a lot of limits on texting that aren't there with email.

  ### 28. The Best Church Management Software On The Market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego M. | Executive Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

How userfriendly and unique it is. Churchteams concentrates on what really matters, such as the assimilation system of your church. ChurchTeams support is the best on the market. They go above and beyond their call of duty to make sure everything you need gets done on a timely manner.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Nothing comes to mind that I don't like about ChurchTeams. ChurchTeams has the best product on the market.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

If you are looking for a Church Management Software that will go above and beyond for your church look no further. ChurchTeams is the best on the market.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a one stop shop with ChurchTeams. Everything from giving, to assimilation, to groups, to registration. It's all there for you.

  ### 29. Perfect Fit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

We started using Churchteams a little over a year ago in February 2020 - right before all of the Covid lockdowns and we are so happy that we made the change when we did. We had evaluated a multitude of church management platforms but Churchteams seemed to be the perfect fit for us - it has all the features we were looking for at a reasonable cost. It is so easy to use and if help is needed there are several resources at your fingertips - from webinars to support articles in their knowledge base to a blog, to sending an email to calling. If an answer cannot be quickly found in the "knowledge base" they are prompt to reply to your email or call. They truly strive to make ministry efficient and enjoyable. There are so many features I could talk about. The ease of online giving was especially beneficial during the Covid shutdown. The church finances continued to be healthy and in some cases were even better than before. Then there is the ease of registering people for events - texting, through an email or at our website.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

What do I dislike? Hmmm - that's really hard to answer. I really can't think of anything. I love Churchteams. The staff is a joy to work with. They are patient and understanding having worked in ministry themselves.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Take advantage of using it on a trial basis to see firsthand the ease of use and also to see what questions or concerns you may want addressed. Also take advantage of attending one of the webinars. You can ask questions on the spot and Boyd takes the time to address all of your concerns.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Again - the online giving, registration, attendance and nursery volunteers and scheduling. We use to take attendance manually. Not anymore - no more bulky binders. It's done right from your phone. You can even check-in your child for the nursery before you ever get to the door.

  ### 30. Churchteams provides our church with a system that allows our church to thieve as community.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antoinette H. | Database Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Ease of use and user friendly. Communication capability that it provides. I love their customer service.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

I would like to have the ablility to review the entire database.
I would like to see who is making a change to a profile.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

I recommend an organization that is looking for a system that can be used by everyone in your organization seamlessly. Churchteams is one to look closely at. The ease of use and the openness to assist in areas of improvement in the use of their system is most attractive to me.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our church is now using one system in every area. Instead of having multiple systems because those systems couldn't do the things we needed, we now operate cohesively through one system.
The system allows our assimilation process to flow effortlessly.
The capability to allow the staff and our leaders to follow a constituents' ministry needs, progress, membership, and more with ease.
The online giving process is quick and easy.
The tools they have for sending mass emails are simple to create and send.
Texting service is a game changer for us. It has allowed us to commucated better with our constituents'.

  ### 31. Affordable Church Management Software with A+ Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yolanda C. | Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The Text-to-Church feature and the many options available for registration

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Limited report formatting and excel export options

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Do utilize the free trial, and be sure to attend all of the training webinars. Doing so proved to be highly beneficial to our organization. The Churchteams support staff is the best, and they go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to assisting their users. They are willing to help you through any and every obstacle, so ask questions. Churchteams listens to their users and continues to make software enhancements/upgrades that improve the overall functionality of an already impressive system.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One software for groups, registrations, membership management, and check-in

  ### 32. Churchteams software review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jen S. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

I like that the developers are accessible. We can reach out with requests and they will email us back and assist.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The platform itself just isn't pretty. I think if it were pretty, we would have more of our members using it regularly.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Watch the video tutorials as a team. Review them as part of onboarding new staff & volunteers. Require a test or some other way to show tutorials have been completed if done independently.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We love the egiving and text to church. It's really helped us during covid to keep costs low and allow giving to be simple and easy for our members.

  ### 33. Excellent Church Management Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kara M. | Church Management System Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Churchteams is a very robust church management system, but it's easy to learn and use and very reasonably priced. Reporting is simple, adding and managing records and groups is easy, support is accessible and phenomenal.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The only thing I ever have a problem with is speed, i.e. sometimes it takes longer than I'd like for a page to load or a report to run, but that is rare.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous ChMS was overly complicated, reporting was awful, and most of our staff hated using it. We've been with Churchteams for over a year now, and I still get kudos for what a great system it is. We were looking for a better, more user-friendly database/check-in/registration/online giving solution, as well as a text giving solution, and we got both for much less than we were paying before.

  ### 34. Churchteams is very user friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The thing I love most about Churchteams is the customer service. There is never a time when I've felt frustrated due to a lack of excellent customer service.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Sometimes I wish it also included a finance/bookkeeping module with fund tracking.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

If the product does not do something you wish it would, don't be afraid to ask or talk to Churchteams about your wishes. It may be somehting they are either already looking at implementing or something they might consider if they feel it would benefit all of their clients.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We originally were interested in the small group management aspcts of Churchteams, but quickly realized the benefits of member and contribution management. We also love that the Churchteams staff continue developing intuitive tools and features like attractive communication outlets.

  ### 35. CT is a wonderful alternative to the "big boys" that evolves with your church as your needs emerge!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dwayne M. | Pastor of Adult Ministries, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

CT is adaptable to our needs - it works!

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Creation of reports is difficult at times with occasional varying results.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Other CMS offer lots of bells and whistles that can be great IF one uses them. I found that for a medium sized church like ours (approximately 1,100 in attendance), CT gives us what we need for church and small groups management.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CT is an adaptable and inexpensive check-in tool for both children and volunteers. It also made it possible to combine all databases, including giving, into one unified solution.

  ### 36. Awesome Program!! Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffrey K. | Director of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Awesome program handles all the needs of our church. The BEST tech support I have ever seen. Its manned by real people, not canned email responses or endless hours on hold.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Wished we would have found the program sooner, we have cut out a lot of hassles with dealing with other less featured programs.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Try the trial it is well worth the time

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of use. Easy to train. Even our volunteers can use the program with no problems. Saves us time with entering information into the program.

  ### 37. One stop shop!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

We use ChurchTeams for just about everything! Scheduling volunteers, sending church-wide emails, checking in kids for service, and event registration. It's helped us tremendously!

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

There's a little bit of a learning curve to figure everything out, but the ChurchTeams staff is always quick to respond to calls and emails and walk you through it.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

It's pretty much a one-stop shop! The only thing it doesn't have a strong format for is a service planning guide. For that we still rely on planning center.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to check kids in for service much faster with text-to-check-in! Things were getting backed up with the extra screening we were doing because of covid. I also love being able to schedule emails out to send in advance!

  ### 38. An incredibly versatile Church Management Software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael C. | Tech Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The depth of features included in ChurchTeams

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The interface can sometimes be a bit confusing. It's a bit of a learning curve to teach people to use and to harness the power within ChurchTeams

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Have someone "own" the database. If you have one person who implements strict rules and manages your database, your lives will be much easier.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Check-in for our kids ministries, tracking and managing our giving, tracking and maintaining our community groups, registration and payments for events... It really has everything we need!

  ### 39. It's a great system, meets all my need and is very to use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin W. | Retired from the position of Director of Operations but I still maintain the database for the church, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Easy to use and master. Also, I use it on my phone

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

On the pull-down search, "...click here for more... "changes location on the second screen.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

I worked on another database for over 18 months and never really got it running, but when I moved to Church Teams, I was up and running in 10 days. I love the system so much that I am still the administrator of the system.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We track everything in Church Teams; attendance, progress, giving.

  ### 40. Wonderful, growing church management system that we have used for years.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony D. | Executive Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

They are very responsive to customer's needs and adapting to the changing world around us.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Some systems are not as user-friendly as they could be.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They help us managed our church attendance and database. They do a really good job helping us track our small groups. We really like the giving side and their costs for this service are very reasonable. We use the online registration system weekly. They have helped us improve in all of these areas.

  ### 41. Churchteams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

I have used Churchteams for 4 years. It was in place when I came to work at the church. I was a school secretary for years and use a data collecting system there. Churchteams is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

There is nothing that I dislike about Churchteams.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I do have a problem, the Knowledge Base or the Support@churchteams are alway helpful.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you for doing this review!

  ### 42. ChurchTeams Made a Big Difference for our Church !

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The interaction that can be made between the church and our members makes every ministry a breeze! Being able to set up a text to volunteers to remind them of their commitment is worth everything!

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

We would like to be able to have longer text messages.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

It's everything they say it is!

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have all of our members registering for events online, even those not so tech savvy. No more ugly clipboards cluttering the foyer!

  ### 44. ChurchTeams - It's a Gem - spread the word!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David C. | Executive Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Church software for pastors created by pastors. ChurchTeams is an ever-expanding system that offers robust options for a very fair price.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

While they are working on it, there is room for improvement in reports. They are working on the user interface. For me, it is not an issue, but for some users, it creates a barrier.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Take advantage of the free trial and see for yourself. High quality with excellence at an affordable price.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use ChurchTeams for data, administration, children's check-in, group rosters and care lists, online giving platform, contribution management and records and registrations. Fulfills many tasks in one package.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Thanks, David, for leaving this review of Churchteams software. We love that you feel you are getting a fair value on the software that offers attendance tracking, online giving, reporting, event management, automation, and so much more! I'm glad to hear you know that we have a new UI coming very soon - and we think you will love it!

  ### 45. Very powerful church management system could use some user-oriented updates

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent W. | Pastor of Adult Discipleship, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Powerful data tracking, searching, and reporting capabilities. I also like the integration of all of its different parts.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The UI is dated. It is not always intuitive to use. The system is not open to third-party add-ons/tools.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing registration/check-in services for attendees. Tracking donations and annual giving reports. Creating workflows to automate repetitive processes. Tracking involvement history.

  ### 46. Churchteams has been a wonderful tool.

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Customer Service and the ease of use of the program

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

There is nothing least helpful about CT.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

If you are looking for a church management system that has some of the best customer service skills out there, Boyd and his crew will take care of you.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track easily of members & guests. Lower costs

  ### 47. Best Church Partnership Company we have!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Their customer service and care far exceeds anything I have ever experienced.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

I wish they had a mobile app. They do have a good mobile web version but just wish it was app driven

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use churchteams for everything. Scheduling volunteers, in-person and online giving, tracking attendance, and all email communication.

  ### 48. Service, service, service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

They are incredibly responsive both to immediate questions and needs as well as to longer-term feature improvements.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

No app - altho their mobile website is usable

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Great value, great support, lots of features and functionality that is constantly being updated

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Single source database for all our ministries - one place to look for all information about anyone here at Mountview. Saves time, reduces error. Registering for worship these days and Churchteams has made some modifications to make that a smooth process. Online giving has been invaluable especially during COVID.

  ### 49. 10 year plus user

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg B. | T, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Nimble and adaptable to our ever-changing needs for data. Without the online giving we would have closed permanently in the pandemic. ChurchTeams forges partnerships that help us do the backside of ministry better. And their team is super responsive to questions and problems we have/create. Wish all customer support was like theirs!

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The front end is tough for new users. But if they invest the time to learn it, they love it.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've worked through guest registrations, child check in in persona nd online, and online giving.

  ### 50. Great value with awesome customer service

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The staff at ChurchTeams communicates great and LISTENS even better.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

My biggest concern is the "or" logic on sorting reports vs and logic. Personal preference though.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The workflow takes ministry follow-up to a great level.
