The one thing I dislike about Chrome OS mostly comes down to its limitations when I try to do anything beyond basic tasks. The biggest issue is software compatibility. We cannot run many full desktop applications that we would normally use on Windows or macOS like advanced editing tools, certain development software, or some enterprise tools. Coming to an everyday user perspective, Chrome OS is mainly solving the problems related to complexity, slow performance, and high maintenance that come with traditional operating systems and that’s where it really benefits me. One big problem it solves is system slowness over time. With many laptops, after a few months, things start lagging, boot times increase, and we end up cleaning files or reinstalling the OS.
