"Simplifies Device Management, But Limited Legacy Support"

4/5

What do you like best about Chrome OS?

I use Chrome OS for our business, and I appreciate how it simplifies device management and security through centralized, cloud-based administration. It loads fast with frequent automatic updates and built-in OS security. Being in a Google ecosystem, I find its support for Google Workspace enables seamless collaboration within our organization. I like its simplicity and the way it puts less load on computers and laptops compared to Windows OS. Everything being cloud-based makes collaboration easier, and we use it alongside Google Workspace tools like Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Google Meet for meetings. Has good pricing model and with inbuilt Gemini AI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

We have legacy applications that are not compatible with Chrome OS, which limits the flexibility of support. Expanding and supporting legacy and Windows-based applications would increase flexibility and avoid the need for multiple operating systems in our organization. Offline capabilities and file classification are also areas of improvement. The initial setup was tricky as we rolled out to pilot users to understand the feedback and business testings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Chrome OS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Chrome OS simplifies device management and strengthens security through centralized, cloud-based administration. It’s fast, with frequent automatic updates and built-in protections. It also supports smooth collaboration with Google Workspace, which fits our organization’s cloud-first approach and helps reduce maintenance costs compared with traditional Windows environments. "Simple, Fast, and Reliable for Cloud-Based Work But Limited for Power Users"

4/5

What do you like best about Chrome OS?

Most of all, I like the speed of this OS and its stability, no matter how much time users spend working with it. In a business environment, Chrome OS performs really well along with such platforms as Google Workspace, where I can collaborate using Docs, Sheets, and Drive with no delays. Moreover automatic updates and solid security minimize the need for IT support which is extremely useful in large corporations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

My only disappointment about this operating system is its inability to work properly with advanced software and tools. Features of Microsoft Excel like macros and other complex functions work badly and Working offline is a major inconvenience in Chromebook especially for people who travel a lot or lack Internet connection. In addition this OS offers slightly worse file management services than Windows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Chrome OS solving and how is that benefiting you?

This system solves a few serious problems i have faced before. Firstly our systems used to be slow and unstable which made work difficult for our employees. Secondly it was necessary to install updates regularly. Thirdly I used to be concerned about security of our devices. All these things were solved once we switched to Chrome OS. "User-Friendly and Seamless, Minor Lag with Multitasking"

5/5

What do you like best about Chrome OS?

I find Chrome OS very user-friendly and appreciate its features that let me integrate with other applications. It's much easier to run applications on Chrome OS, and I often use it for running design and programming software, which it supports seamlessly without any issues. Some applications, like certain CAD design software, only support Chrome OS, which is a big help to me. The initial setup was pretty straightforward, making the transition smooth. I also like using Chrome OS with tools like Microsoft 365, Zoom, Google Meet, and AI applications like ChatGPT and Perplexity, which further enhances my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

Sometimes I felt lagging when switching between tabs. It lags a bit if I have too many tabs open or too many applications running in the background, so it's an issue sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Chrome OS solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Chrome OS for web browsing, accessing AI apps, and online tasks. It's user-friendly, supports seamless app integration, and runs design and programming software without issues. Chrome OS makes running these necessary applications much easier for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lightweight, Secure, and Easy-to-Use Operating System for Everyday Work"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Chrome OS?

What I like most about Chrome OS is how fast and straightforward it is to use. As a business user, I appreciate that the system boots up quickly and runs smoothly without requiring frequent maintenance. The integration with Google Workspace tools like Gmail, Drive, and Docs makes my day-to-day work more efficient, especially when I’m handling cloud-based tasks. I also value the strong built-in security features and automatic updates, which minimize the need for manual intervention while helping keep the device secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

Chrome OS works very well for web-based workflows, but it does come with a few limitations. Some desktop applications simply aren’t available, which can be restrictive if you rely on specialized software. Android and Linux app support has definitely helped fill some gaps, but it still isn’t always a perfect substitute for a full Windows or macOS environment. Offline use can also feel limited at times, especially when you need to get work done without a reliable connection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Chrome OS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Chrome OS addresses device management, security, and performance overhead in a straightforward way. Before I started using it, system updates and ongoing security maintenance took more effort and attention than they should have. With Chrome OS, those tasks are handled automatically, which helps reduce downtime and lowers my dependence on IT support. For me, that means I can stay focused on my work without constantly worrying about system performance or potential security issues. Overall, it feels like a reliable and efficient operating system, especially for organizations that depend heavily on cloud-based tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, Fast, and Stress-Free : Chrome OS Just Works"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Chrome OS?

What I like most about Chrome OS is how simple and stress-free it feels to use, it starts up quickly, runs smoothly without slowing down over time, and doesn’t need constant maintenance like other systems. Everything is neatly connected through your Google account, so your files and apps are always in sync, and the clean, minimal interface helps you focus without distractions. It’s the kind of system that just works quietly in the background without demanding much from you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

What I don’t like about Chrome OS is that it can feel a bit limited if you need more than basic tasks, since it relies heavily on internet access and web apps, working offline or using advanced software isn’t always smooth. It also depends a lot on the Google ecosystem, which can feel restrictive if you prefer flexibility or other platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Chrome OS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Chrome OS solves common problems like slow performance, frequent system maintenance, and security risks by offering a fast, lightweight system that updates automatically and protects against malware. It also reduces dependency on heavy software by focusing on cloud-based apps. This benefits me by saving time, avoiding technical hassles, and giving a smooth, reliable experience where I can just open my device and start working without worrying about crashes or updates. "Fast, Smooth, and Simple—Great Google Integration"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Chrome OS?

I like the ease of use and simplicity. It boots quickly, runs smoothly even on lower end devices and integrates with Google app devices like drive, gmail etf. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

One thing I dislike is that it can feel limited compared to windows or macOs, especially when it comes to multi tasking. Some desktop apps and games don't work properly or aren't supported at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Chrome OS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Chrome OS helps resolve problems related to slow performance and device security. Since most of my work is cloud based, it makes collaboration and accessing files from anywhere much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Chrome OS Management with Cloud Control, Security, and Great Value"

5/5

What do you like best about Chrome OS?

The Chrome OS is hands down the easiest device to manage, has 100% cloud based management, excellent security, MFA built into the device, and is a cost effective solution to 1 to 1. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

Even though the Chrome OS is definitely limited compare to a full Windows OS, the tradeoffs are worth it for the additional security, cost effectiveness, and ease of management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Chrome OS solving and how is that benefiting you?

The Chrome OS completely solves the budgeting issues when comparing 1 to 1 with any other device OS type. The Chrome OS has also eliminated additional tools, complications with integrations, and complex training when compare to any other device type. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
