  ### 8. "From Windows to Chrome OS: My Transition and Impressions"

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhishek R. | Master Associate, Financial Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Chrome OS?**

What I liked the most about this OS is its simplicity and easy-to-use interface. Even for someone who is not tech-savvy, the user interface is clear and simple to use, making it a delight to utilize. Web browsing on Chrome OS is quick to start up and feels responsive. It's a simple operating system that frees me from needless complications so I can concentrate on what has to be done.

In addition, I value Chrome OS's strong security features. My machine is always updated with the most recent security patches thanks to automatic updates, which gives me a piece of mind. The risk of malware infestations is decreased by the additional layer of security provided by sandboxing programs.

Another noteworthy aspect of Chrome OS is how well it integrates with Google services. Using Chrome OS feels like a natural fit if you're deeply ingrained in the Google ecosystem, as I am with Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Docs. It syncs with my Google account without a hitch, making it simple to view my files and data from any location.

**What do you dislike about Chrome OS?**

What I dislike about ChromeOS is its limited compatibility with certain software applications. Although it excels at web-based work and interacts well with Google services, customers who primarily rely on specialist software that is only accessible on Windows or macOS may not find it to be the ideal option. If you need particular software for your job or hobbies, this restriction may be annoying.

Furthermore, even though Chrome OS has made substantial advancements in offline capability, many operations still largely rely on an internet connection. This isn't a big deal for most daily tasks, but if you have to work in places with spotty or nonexistent internet access, it can be a problem.

**What problems is Chrome OS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find that Chrome OS efficiently addresses a number of concerns, making it a worthwhile option for my computing requirements. First and foremost, simplicity and speed are key. I enjoy how quick and snappy Chrome OS is when I use it, especially for web browsing and daily work. This enables me to do tasks fast and without any annoying delays, which is a major perk in my book.

Another feature I appreciate is the user-friendly UI. I don't have to be a tech whiz to use it because it's easy to understand. I've been spared the difficulties that can accompany other operating systems thanks to this. Another major plus is security. To keep me safe from the most recent dangers, Chrome OS updates itself automatically. I feel more secure knowing that my system is patched and secure on a regular basis.

Additionally, Chrome OS is a great fit if, like me, you are a big lover of the Google ecosystem, particularly Gmail and Google Drive. I can easily access and manage my files and documents because it smoothly links with these services.

  ### 9. One of the best browser to use with high speed browsing

**Reviewed by:** Gaurav G. | Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Chrome OS?**

I mostly like the speed of the browsing, As a developer my team can also test responsiveness of the designed app in the chrome browser by clicking on the inspect button and selecting the responsiveness icon. If you have opened too many tab then chrome will inactive other tabs to save memory which increase system performance.

**What do you dislike about Chrome OS?**

Overall its one of the best browser but google release too many update and that is too frequently, i would suggest google team to plan proper software release for teh next upgrade. sometime when i also restart my computer then all of my recently opened tabs does not re-open, i think google need to focus in this area and need to fix this bug.

**What problems is Chrome OS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its basically fast, monolithic OS which is increasing the performance of the system, its natively supported by google developer. It benifits in development of the web and mobile app fastly.

Chrome OS offers limited customization compared to other operating systems like Windows or macOS. While it's suitable for general users and educational environments, power users might find it restrictive in terms of advanced settings and personalization options.

**What do you dislike about Chrome OS?**

It has very limited functionalities and doesn't have compatibility with many normal daily-use desktop apps. Without the internet, it's of very minimal use from its already minimum use cases. It should have a lightweight emulator or convertor for basic apps.

**What problems is Chrome OS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It boosts my old Laptop using Chrome Flex to continue working. It's also beneficial for kids and old people around me who need a laptop form factor for various reasons but are not vivid or power users. For basic schooling, it is very apt.
