Once you learn how to make your own changes it becomes even simpler. It is worth the time and energy because, again, once you understand the "back office" piece it can be very helpful. Changes made to online menus are immediately updated. Customer service is good but can't always or quickly resolve issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about ChowNow for Restaurants? It can be difficult to program. It does not allow the easy use of promo cards - even though they push the discounted marketing. Also, sometimes changes are made without them being done in the "back office". - I have called many times about this and there is no explanation that can be given. The worst experience of this was the building of the app. It was sold to me as a simple process - but it was not. I think ChowNow needs to be more forthcoming with this. We save a lot of money by utilizing ChowNow. They even built us an APP customers can download and use. The menu updating software syncs and any changes made on the back end menu updates to the website and app within a minute. Very user friendly, great support team with fast response time. Customers tend to order food based on looks and plain text descriptions don't really get the point across. The 20-28% fees that were being charged by other companies were killing us slowly. Now with ChowNow we get to see more money in our pockets and more potential for profit. The benefits of utilizing ChowNow don't stop. They have partnerships for delivery drivers, the ordering platform integrates well with Instagram. We also have the ability to utilize the email's collected through ChowNow to market to our customers directly. I can’t think of anything right now. I did have a friend who uses chownow that had issues because he gets too many orders so he wasn’t able to keep up with them and so his chownow automatically shut down because he hadn’t taken them all in.
