Chilview SnapMatrix is screenshot and screen recording software for Mac, from Chilview LLC (Bensalem, PA). It is designed for individuals and teams who document work — support, QA, training, documentation — and want captures to stay on their own machine. Free tier: screenshots only — Display, Region, Window, Full-page capture with delays and presets, clipboard copy, PNG/JPG/WebP export, light/dark themes. Paid yearly plans unlock: an annotation editor (arrow, rectangle, ellipse, text, pen, highlighter, numbered steps, redact/blur, callout, crop, layers, zoom/fit); screen recording (window, tab, or entire screen; pause/stop; mic; webcam bubble; countdown); recording review (trim, 1.5-2.5x zoom, 16:9/9:16/1:1 framing, MP4, 8-second looping GIF); an on-Mac Library with search and projects/tags plus an optional company backend (the customer's own HTTPS API or Supabase — not Chilview's servers); Guide and Bibliography PDFs with MLA/APA/Chicago citations; brand kits; and suggested redactions for emails, phone numbers, cards, and IDs. Organization plans add seat management with a per-person recording toggle. Pricing: Individual $34.99/year (1 user). Organization $37.99/user/year for 1-100 users, $34.99/user/year at 101+. No monthly or lifetime plans.
