Describe the project or task Chetu helped with:

Chetu has been working on one single project, but with several different modules, including the “API project for managing Level UP API and PayCom API,” the “Windows-based POS application,” and the “Web Application for reporting" and generally helping with updating our point of sale. What do you like best about Chetu?

I like that they tell me a time when to expect the final product and then usually hit that time. I like that they give me a report every day as to what the team worked on, specifically. And I like that they have a pool of people to pull from that can meet the needs we have at that time, for each project. I like that there is a project manager in the states that I can talk to when I need to. I also like that we meet weekly. What do you dislike about Chetu?

The only thing I can say that I don't like turns out to be a good thing overall. You have to be very detailed about your expectations because there can be a little bit of a cultural gap at times. I expect things to look and feel a certain way that I would think is common sense but sometimes I get a module that doesn't fit those expectations. It has forced me to clearly think about exactly how I expect these modules to look and work. I guess if I had no expectations, it would not matter what they did. Recommendations to others considering Chetu:

Make sure to be specific with your expectations. If you want it to look a certain way or act a certain way, make sure they know that. I have weekly meetings set up with the team to go over the projects they work on. They are very responsive to changes I need to make, but sometimes those changes can delay the project so being very specific in the beginning is extremely helpful. What problems is Chetu solving and how is that benefiting you?

We started working with Chetu to build some reports that can be accessed via the cloud for managers to see sales, labor costs, menu items sold, and other relevant data. After they finished that aspect, we needed help tieing into LevelUp's API so they did that. After that, we have asked them to help to improve how we track delivery drivers, tie our point of sale to PayCom for an integrated approach to payroll, and to improve several other parts of our point of sale. What do you like best about Chetu?

stopping working with Chetu, we found their unwillingness to correct the work they were doing so that it conformed to the rest of our software suite impossible to deal with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They provided incompetent staff, who after being given clear instructions and plenty of support failed to deliver any workable code after more than 4 weeks, we have worked with many outsourcing companies and Chetu stands out as being the ones that failed to deliver anything. "Highly productive development teams"

We worked with a Chetu development team for almost four years. We ended our contract once we had built an internal team capable of taking over all parts of the developed platform. Chetu worked on the project from day one and built a complex system that housed and ran a series of product variants and features. They provided C# and .NET expertise (among many others). What do you like best about Chetu?

The core members of the Chetu team worked on the project from day one up until the final day of our contract - this provided us with consistency and reliability throughout our working relationship. The team was highly productive (especially the lead programmer Pradeep K), and we feel this ultimately contributed to an excellent return on cost. What do you dislike about Chetu?

Our one critique would be at times, some of the QA work could have been tighter, but more often than not this was affected/agitated by the high workload we put on the team, which they were keen to tackle and complete. However, I would say if you work with Chetu, to ensure expectations are realistic otherwise features can suffer from being developed too quickly, causing more issues and requiring more resources committed to QA. "Chetu Simplifies offshoring for great value software development"

We've worked with Chetu on a several unique development projects including a start-to-finish custom mobile app. This project included the design, development, testing of a new native iOS/Android app over the span of a few months, followed by continued enhancements that continue today. What do you like best about Chetu?

The Chetu team makes offshoring development safer and easier. Their structure which includes a US-based leadership team, a dedicated PM, and onsite technical leads overseeing the development effort significantly reduces the potential impact of bringing on offshore developers. What do you dislike about Chetu?

I don't have any specific dislikes about working with Chetu. Offshoring and working with new developers is always a challenge to effectively communicate requirements and goals. While the team strives to understand the project's goals, it's often difficult to keep everyone on the same page while working remotely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Chetu solving and how is that benefiting you?

There are two primary reasons we've brought on Chetu to our team.

1) We have a specific project which we do not have the internal expertise. This was our native mobile app development. While we have expert developers on our team, none have significant experience with mobile app development. We could hire, or train our internal staff to accomplish this, but that would result in additional cost and time. Instead, we were able to bring on Chetu, and within a short period of time, have a fully functional app - at likely a lower cost than if we hired the expertise.

2) Staff augmentation has been very helpful as our business cash flow has ebbed and flowed. By bringing on Chetu developers, it has made it easier to both onboard (and offboard if needed) to provide additional development support. Recruiting and hiring is always time consuming and expensive, by working with Chetu, we've been able to address development requirements while managing the costs. "Complex Real Estate Title Process Application"

Working with our design team, Chetu has implementing an easy-to-use, user role-driven application design for the real estate Title industry. This application receives orders through automated interfaces, automatically requests, automatically receives, aggerates, and integrates data from many sources, The order is passed through a production line process where employees with different expertise analyze and update the collected data. This produces a deliverable product generate the documented results and electronically deliver to the requesting customer. What do you like best about Chetu?

In addition to coding and testing, Chetu suggested design alternatives and was totally responsible for building the application delivery system in an AWS environment. They assisted in the selection of all of the computer server (EC2) and databases (RDS) and fully implemented the load balancing configuration, with security enhancements. What do you dislike about Chetu?

All of our Chetu programming resources reside in India, and the time difference is always a challenge. Our company has most of its personnel located remotely, and the need to use Internet-based conference tools is not new, but have their own challenges. What problems is Chetu solving and how is that benefiting you?

At the beginning of our Action Enterprise System (AWS) project, we had no programming staff and development support staff. The thought of trying to build and vet the needed staff in a compressed time frame was deemed to be impossible, so we starting researching for a contract development organization with development with experience in real estate or related industries. This search identified Chetu, and after we interviewed other organizations, we determine that Chetu best matched our needs. We needed a way to rapidly share modeling information and ideas between our architect and other parties so that we could not only begin to develop our latest property, but also allow our real estate agents to showcase the designs to potential business clients. Chetu's developers were able to build a 3D modeling environment using Autodesk Forge as a programming interface which actually cut the production time in half and saved our business vast amounts of capital. The final product worked exactly as we needed it to, which allowed our stakeholders to better collaborate on our latest real estate development projects more effectively.
