They made the transition from our previous payroll company so easy! Our payroll specialist is usually always available and if not, someone else is there to answer questions and address any concerns we have. This has been especially beneficial for our company as we manage a consistent team of support staff who come on and off of work study in addition to our permanent staff. Our company uses Checkwriters as our payroll provider, and I've worked with them directly for about 6 or 7 years. I appreciate their user portal's simplicity as well as their responsive and knowledgeable customer accounts specialists. Checkwrtiters has been able to accommodate our multiple companies and their unique payroll structures with ease. They offer a variety of timekeeping and payroll solutions, allowing for our company's growth and changing HR processes. What do you dislike about Checkwriters? Although I love that a human always answers the phone, it can sometimes be frustrating when I can't reach the customer specialists familiar with my accounts' particulars. I've also found a few areas where their software could be improved. I know they know where they have room to improve and have plans to address them soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Checkwriters solving and how is that benefiting you? Checkwriters has helped streamline and automate our payroll process by reducing the time it takes to process payroll for multiple companies each week. I'm doing much less manual entry and calculations than I was previously. Their time off center has also made the process of employee time off requests and manager approval of those requests much more manageable than our previous pen-and-paper method. Their portal allows easy and secure employee information management as well as easy-to-use reporting functions. I'm looking forward to implementing Employee Navigator, which will sync with Checkwriters and allow a more efficient benefits administration and management process. I always hear about other payroll companies being difficult to reach, but CheckWriters is always available to help by email or phone. We don't use all of their features, but they have a very robust system with different platforms, and it's great to have everything in one system. I don't need to use another HR system on top of the payroll. We've been using CheckWriters for over 12 years, and I've never needed to look into another provider, as I've been happy with them. I Had a specific rep to talk with if I needed help, which helped to develop a reliable relationship with someone who would know my needs more quickly. Because I was self-sufficient and did most of the work on your online portal, There wasn't much interaction with your company. I honestly can't say there was anything I disliked. Taking care of our Simple IRA deferrals. It helps us reduce the time it takes to log in, do the deferrals, and track the deferrals. Taking care of the Withholdings, which takes the tracking and responsibility of logging into multiple sites to pay. High rate of payroll representative staff turnover, frequently training someone new to handle our complicated payroll. I have had over 10 reps in my 10 years working with them. Checkwriters benefits us by doing our payroll - we are a small school with lots of part-time and temporary employees. We have several different payroll cycles, 12 month, 10 month and week to week.
