From the initial implementation through to any troubleshooting needs, they are always quick to respond, knowledgeable, and genuinely gracious in offering their help. **What do you dislike about Checkwriters?** Our only issues relate to our staff logging into their portals but I think it's more user error than software malfunction! Wish my employees received email notifications related to payroll. **What problems is Checkwriters solving and how is that benefiting you?** Time management and HR solutions that fit both my expectations and my budget. As a small non-profit, we often face challenges due to limited staff, resources, and access to technology. Although their local presence is convenient, it is not the primary reason for their outstanding support. The CheckWriters support team, along with our dedicated account manager, has been incredibly attentive to our needs. Despite being a smaller organization, we are treated as if we are their most important clients. The platform’s features are exceptionally well-designed, catering to our needs and offering much more than we require. One of the standout aspects of their customer service is the extensive library of instructional videos available for practically every feature. It is a relatively easy system to use. **What do you dislike about Checkwriters?** We went from having 1 contact./account manager and now it is a generic customer support line/email when you have a question. The password reset feature does not work well for most employees. Needs improvements for payroll approvals and signing of documents. **What problems is Checkwriters solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ATS works great in getting jobs published quickly to several sites. ### 4. The decision to switch was not an easy one due to the work involved with transitioning. Our HR team spent several hours talking to sales reps and watching demos to explore the available options, updated technology, and additional features available to us. Among all the demos, CheckWriters stood out to us for many reasons. Our HR team met Account Executive, Chris Landy at the 2023 SHRM Conference. Six months after implementation, he continues to follow up with us to ensure that CheckWriters is fulfilling all our needs. They have a dedicated team for implementation and training. Kudos to Tracy Fleming and Kayla Goller for being instrumental in our success with this new platform. The service this team provides to their clients is leagues ahead of the giants in the industry. CheckWriters has several HR modules that we did not have before- allowing us to automate processes and save time. The Payroll Module is easy to learn and navigate and makes running payroll a breeze! The Recruit Module draws in numerous candidates because it pushes out to 100 job boards with a click of a button. The templates makes the screening and hiring process super-efficient and saves us extensive time. Changing providers is a long journey and certainly requires dedication and time. But, moving to CheckWriters was worth the time invested and leg work involved. They work in conjunction with you from day one to ensure success and they are always just an email or a phone call away. We are beyond happy with our decision to transfer to CheckWriters and we recommend it to any business looking for change, automation, better service, and cost savings! **What do you dislike about Checkwriters?** There are some options that we do not use right now, but will explore the options in the future. Really, there is not much that we dislike about CheckWriters. The reporting is a lot different that we are used to and it has taken some time for us to learn how to create the report templates. Everyone that we've spoken with from sales to full implementation has been great! **What do you dislike about Checkwriters?** I think it would be great if Checkwriters had the option for users to recommend processes that they've used in the past in order to have Checkwriters consider adding it. Many of the users of Checkwrtiers have used other software platforms and each one of the platforms has pros and cons. Having a "recommendation" area would be great for users to offer a suggestion **What problems is Checkwriters solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were spending a lot of money with our past payroll software company and became more of a number, instead of a customer. I have had no issues. **What problems is Checkwriters solving and how is that benefiting you?** Checkwriters makes onboarding, offboarding, and payroll administration a breeze. This has been especially beneficial for our company as we manage a consistent team of support staff who come on and off of work study in addition to our permanent staff. One of the top things your company did was take on the Simple IRA deferrals. **What do you dislike about Checkwriters?** Because I was self-sufficient and did most of the work on your online portal, There wasn't much interaction with your company. I honestly can't say there was anything I disliked. But if I have to give an example, there was one time I was on hold for way too long. **What problems is Checkwriters solving and how is that benefiting you?** Taking care of our Simple IRA deferrals. It helps us reduce the time it takes to log in, do the deferrals, and track the deferrals. Taking care of the Withholdings, which takes the tracking and responsibility of logging into multiple sites to pay. Any time I have an issue (which is infrequent), a quick call with little hold time solves my issue. I appreciate the value that CheckWriters offers by keeping pricing under control. I enjoy the clean and easy-to-read user interface. CheckWriters is adding to its reference materials bit by bit. **What do you dislike about Checkwriters?** They are sticklers for security, and that slows my employees sometimes. But, if anyone complains to me, it's more of a benefit than a problem. I want some special features designed for schools: summer pay, substitute processing, and access to the API so I can develop apps and forms. Also, I wish they had a QBO Advanced interface to push more payroll detail into my general ledger. I import the summary journal entry using Transaction Pro but detailed payee names would help me ensure proper general ledger coding. This isn't a major issue. **What problems is Checkwriters solving and how is that benefiting you?** The modern ESS (employee self-service) has cut down on questions from our employees by 90%. Out of 72 employees, we only have three that need regular, monthly hand-holding, which is par for the course! And, even with multiple types of time off, the software handles them easily. Our employees and approvers process requests with little help from the business office. Payroll and related tax compliance become a three-hour-per-month task.
