"Elevating OT Security with Check Point NGFW: Visibility, Control, and Prevention"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Check Point Next Generation Firewalls (NGFWs)?

Honestly, what I like most is how everything just works together, especially when you're managing both IT and OT environments. The SmartConsole is a lifesaver. Being able to push policies, track traffic, and investigate threats all from one place saves a ton of time and headaches.

I also really appreciate the modular approach, you can turn on features like IPS or Threat Emulation when you’re ready, without ripping things out or restarting from scratch. That flexibility is huge in environments where uptime and stability are non-negotiable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Check Point Next Generation Firewalls (NGFWs)?

If I had to pick one thing, it’s that the initial setup can be a bit overwhelming, especially if you’re new to Check Point or don’t have strong experience with network segmentation or their software blade model. There’s a learning curve, and it can take some time to fully understand how all the components fit together.

Also, the licensing structure isn’t the most intuitive. Between the blades, subscription tiers, and deployment models (physical, virtual, cloud), figuring out exactly what you need, and what it’ll cost, can be tricky without help from a partner or reseller.

That said, once everything’s in place and running, it’s rock solid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
