To be fair, there are a few things Check Point gets right. The VSX architecture is solid. it’s great for multi-tenant environments where you need strong segmentation and isolated policy control. It’s one of the few areas where Check Point feels flexible and scalable.

I also appreciate the push toward Autonomous Threat Prevention. Automating policy updates and threat responses is a step in the right direction, especially in environments where manual intervention can slow things down. And their AI agent integration shows promise. it’s good to see them trying to modernize detection and response workflows.

That said, these strengths don’t fully make up for the operational headaches. The platform still feels clunky, and the threat intelligence gaps are hard to ignore.
