I haven't noticed any disadvantages at the moment, however on the IPS logs when it suggests some remediation links, and when I click those logs, the links don't work sometimes. The IPS blade works very well and is an essential feature to protect an infrastructure in 2025, in fact we have it on all our customers and also on firewalls protecting corporate services. We have customised profiles for IPS or IDS action, and on some customers we have also set up autonumus threat prevention, which in fact automatically manages the action to be taken for the various signatures.
