What do you like best about Check Point Infinity Global Services?

Good use and continual improvement of more advanced features than competition - such as voice biometrics. It was easy to deploy and the level of training / change management provided was quite welcome. We just refreshed our checkpoint hardware, opted this time to not go with appliances as we found them extremely overpriced compared to the hardware you are getting, we saved money by going with their open server license and buying our own servers to run it on. Essentially just buying their software. This also will help keep the performance high throughout the years after updates, as we have them on proper servers, not celeron / i3 processors. They license by core, so get a powerful processor with fast but few cores to save money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Check Point Infinity Global Services?

We have been running checkpoint here for a long time and there is good and bad with it. Its security rating is one of the highest, its GUI for management is great, and its log tracker "SmartLog" makes it incredibly easy and fast to obtain the info you need when researching problems or pulling up information. What do you dislike about Check Point Infinity Global Services?

Its very expensive, pricing models change it seems every renewal, overly complex quoting process that sometimes makes little to no sense. Support is hit or miss, trying to license the product after buying or simply renewing mine as well require a PHD. When you call support they have a team dedicated just to licensing problems so that tells you something. Also we dislike the very weak hardware appliances they sell as most of them after just a year of updates get so bogged down they can hardly run efficiently. Installing policies becomes a 20 minute wait for a bar to finish task just to modify a single rule. This process should be made easier / faster. So the problem we run into is simply every year the newer versions of software chew through hardware resources quite a bit so it forces you to keep upgrading or live with a horrible experience managing the firewall on a day to day basis. I could go on but you get the point. Good software but overly complex in areas that should be made easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
