## About Chattermill
Chattermill is the AI-native customer experience intelligence (CXI) platform that unifies fragmented feedback and surfaces what to act on first. Built for the agentic era, it's used by CX, Voice of Customer (VoC), product, support, and insights teams at enterprise brands who need to turn scattered feedback into a clear next move, not another dashboard nobody opens. Chattermill connects to 100+ feedback channels, including surveys, reviews, support tickets, conversations, and social media. It translates and transcribes feedback in 100+ languages, enriches every signal with context (customer ID, channel, location), and classifies each piece of feedback with Lyra, Chattermill's proprietary AI model. Lyra combines aspect-based sentiment analysis, supervised learning, and large language models, so categorization stays consistent even at high volume. Once feedback is organized, teams get metrics tracking for NPS, CSAT, and sentiment, precision insights that point to specific issues and opportunities, AI summaries backed by real customer quotes, impact analysis that shows what's actually moving key metrics, and anomaly detection that flags spikes before they escalate. Reports and dashboards make it easy to share findings and keep every team working from the same picture. Chattermill also connects directly into AI agents through MCP and Skills, so teams can query verified customer intelligence from Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible agent without leaving their workflow. Lyra Agent, Chattermill's natively-integrated CX agent, works in the background to surface high-impact insights on its own. Uber, HelloFresh, Booking.com, Tesco, JustEat, and H&M use Chattermill to understand their customers. Uber has 400+ users across CX, product, and operations. HelloFresh used it to launch 7 new brands built around what customers were asking for. Footasylum cut contacts per transaction by 42.8%. Chattermill is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified, and compliant with GDPR and CCPA. G2 has recognized Chattermill as a Grid Leader and Momentum Leader in Feedback Analytics.

## Chattermill Reviews
 ### 1. Intuitive Feedback Analysis with Room for Deeper Insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas Z. | PM, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

I use Chattermill to analyze customer feedback and surface key trends and insights. What stands out most to me is how easy Chattermill is to use and how quickly it helps surface useful insights from customer feedback. I like the clear visualizations and the way it turns lots of data into something easy to understand and act on. The ease of use makes it quick for me to get started and find what I need without spending too much time learning the tool. The setup was fairly easy and straightforward, though it did take a bit of time.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Some advanced features are not always very easy to find, especially for occasional users. The analysis could go a bit deeper on more nuanced and complex feedback. A wider range of integrations would make the tool even more useful. It would help if the interface were a bit more intuitive, with clearer navigation and simpler access to filters or customization options. I’d like to see smoother connections with other tools I use, specifically with Claude Cowork, so data can flow more easily without extra manual steps. The initial setup, while easy and straightforward, was a bit long, taking 2-3 months.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Chattermill to turn customer feedback into clear, actionable insights, saving time and making it easier to spot recurring themes. It improves my decision-making by focusing on relevant issues rather than manually sorting through every comment.

 ### 2. Great tool to gather guest feedback

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

What stands out the most now is the AI sentiment tagging. It goes beyond basic keyword matching to truly understand the context of what customers are praising or complaining about which is incredibly valuable for us (especially in the hospitality industry). Combined with the ability to create custom dashboards and automated workflows, it allows us to see everything at a glance and streamline our entire feedback process effortlessly.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Rigid dashboard customization: While the reports are helpful, the UI for building custom charts can feel a bit rigid. It sometimes requires a few workarounds to get the exact visual layout we want. It's not as simple as it should be.
Support response times for technical issues: When we run into more complex, technical questions regarding data mapping, the customer support team can sometimes take a bit to get back to us.
Misclassification by the AI: While the sentiment analysis is generally accurate, it still struggles sometimes with sarcasm or mixed reviews.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Each month I have to analyze what are the guests saying about my properties, specifically cleaning and maintenance, to give feedback to my partners about their performance.
Before using chattermill we had to check each of the sites I mentioned aboved to try to get the most accurate information.
The time investment was huge.

 ### 3. AI Insights and Dashboards with High-Quality Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

Chattermill does a very good job of synthesising multiple feedback sources and integrations into one central view utilising AI to extract themes, insights and proactive recommendations. It’s easy to create dashboards for journeys, products, or features, and then see clear sentiment, NPS, and key themes in one place. It seems to perform well and the support from the team is of high quality. Pricing I believe is on the higher side but this is likely dependant on the size of business and support provided.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Sometimes the need for manual re-theming is required where the AI can categorise the same thing different ways multiple times, but this is improving. Long term being able to overlay the qualitative insights with quantitate insights from a journey management perspective would be interesting.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clear voice of customer and sentiment measure, enabling journey management and improvement.

 ### 4. Effortless Feedback Insights, User-Friendly Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Afifa S. | Energy Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

I like that Chattermill gives daily and weekly insights through data bricks, which helps me understand and improve my performance by comparing it with my past performance. It's really easy to use and user-friendly. The initial setup was very, very easy peasy.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

I don't like it when it gets logged out and I have to enter my details in again to gain access.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Chattermill to track customer feedback and to easily access daily and monthly insights. It helps me understand my performance by comparing it with past data, leading to significant improvement.

 ### 5. Consistent and Trustworthy Insights with Chattermill

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muaz A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

I really like Chattermill because of its consistency, which plays a key role in determining how good and trustworthy it is for other teams. The feature that stands out the most to me is 'observations.' These are unsupervised learnings that surface feedback through semantic research, and I find it amazing. Observations bring out new signals from customer feedback that you can't find elsewhere, and this is really valuable to our internal teams. Also, my onboarding was really easy, as Chattermill was already set up within the team before I started using it.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

NA

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Chattermill solves data tagging issues with massive data, ensuring consistent and trustworthy feedback through semantic research. The 'observations' feature uncovers valuable new signals from customer feedback, benefiting our internal teams.

 ### 6. Chattermill Makes Qualitative Feedback Analysis Scalable and Effortless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

I really appreciate how Chattermill reduces our manual workload. It lets us run scalable analysis on qualitative feedback, which used to be difficult given the volume we handle. With Chattermill, we can now monitor that feedback much more effectively. I’ve also found their sentiment detection model and taxonomy- ased data labeling to be top class, which I’m genuinely very happy with.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

There are still some outliers when it comes to sentiment detection. I wish the model could better pick up sarcasm and more nuanced tones in the feedback.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Chattermill to analyze sentiment across large volumes of customer feedback, something that wasn’t feasible before. It helps surface areas that need attention and keeps xFN stakeholders closely connected to customer feedback.

 ### 7. Conceptually is Great - Still Needs some work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel C. | Category Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

quick way to reference reviews, ability to filter down and see as much detail or less as you want.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

I've notice data accuracy is not great, at times data will change from one month into the other. Also I hate that i cant export data in a way that's ready to be leveraged on excel. Also, report making tool needs a lot of work. Layouts are always tricky to manage, noticed specially challenging when dealing with tables, were you cant modify the width of columns, also colours for each series are limited, and cant be customized; wich brings me back to the fact that...on one hand you dont facilitate exporting the data to quickly levarage it on excel/sheets, that would indicate high level of confidence on your own reports/dashboards, but as a constant user i know that's not the case.

Also the sentiment algorithm is innacurate, at times it will pick negative sentiments, where I read the review there's nothing that indicates a negative sentiment towards the product. Finally would love to add a word map or word count as visualization options for the data.

Again, if you don't excel at exporting data, then excel at reporting/dashboard experience, today there's gaps in both.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Digest the voice of guests more effectively to trigger product decisions.

 ### 8. Robust Sentiment Analysis with Room for Dashboard Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

I use Chattermill for customer sentiment analysis, and I like their tagging feature the most because it's relatively accurate. The initial setup of Chattermill was easy for me.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

I think Chattermill could use more flexible dashboarding.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Chattermill for gathering and categorizing customer sentiment data. I find the tagging relatively accurate.

 ### 9. Insightful Keyword Analysis and Easy Setup

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

I like Chattermill for its data availability and the keyword granularity. I enjoy the depth and detail it provides in keyword search. The setup was fairly easy, which was a plus.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

N/A

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Chattermill for awareness of customer info, with benefits from data availability and keyword granularity.

 ### 10. Simplified Customer Feedback Analysis

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

I love Chattermill's ability to centralize and quickly analyze all customer feedback. Being able to use filters as needed really saves time.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Some feedback can be better tagged. Observations can also be better reworked to avoid duplicates.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Chattermill to analyze customer feedback, identify trends, and better understand issues. This helps guide quality and product actions. The ability to centralize and quickly analyze feedback, with filters as needed, saves time.

 ### 11. Essential Tool for Customer Feedback Analysis

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** avram s.

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

I like that Chattermill helps me review customer feedback data. That’s a helpful feature.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

You know, any parts that aren't really related to customer feedback data are less helpful for me.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Chattermill for reviewing customer feedback data.

 ### 12. Intuitive and Excellent Graphics, but Search Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chiara D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

I like the graphics and the overall UX of Chattermill. I find the dashboard and categorization particularly intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Research is not always precise.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Chattermill to quickly centralize customer verbatims and understand their sentiments.

 ### 13. No-nonsense customer feedback insights

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

Chattermill makes it super easy to gather feedback everywhere, take my unstructured data and actually make sense of it. Sentiment analysis is one of the coolest features and I've been using whenever I need to have a general sense of our customer feedback

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Learning curve is a bit high, so understanding all data might take some time. Some contextual help would be very helpful (maybe tutorials or suggestions).

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It pulls all my feedback sources into one place so I'm not jumping between tools. Sentiment analysis spots patterns I'd miss manually, which helps me gain insight on what to work in the product. Basically saves me time and makes user research way more actionable.

 ### 14. Chattermill centralizes varied feedback sources for your utmost convenience!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

Chattermill is most useful in its automated reporting features, Slack integration, the ability to create your own tags/themes, and quantitative "listening" of omnichannel feedback sources. Together, you can start a VoC program with little effort - generating timely reports for stakeholders and surfacing "bugs" in your product experience through the Slack integration so that the right parties can further investigate/resolve points of feedback as they're submitted. In general, Chattermill fills a key service gap for our company by allowing us to harness all of our different feedback sources in one platform. It helps us "quantitatively size" the prevalence of each pain point, which then gives us an idea of how to prioritize solutions to these issues based on frequency and severity. It also then allows us to check over time whether those pain points are abating, after administering solutions such as improved customer support or product improvements. Without such a tool, we'd spend much more time in manual data entry and feedback review, likely neglecting our lesser-known data sources like app reviews.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Chattermill is a worthwhile tool, but can be better improved through: more sensitive AI summaries, accuracy of sentiment analysis, and multi-language translation. While I appreciate that Chattermill has these capabilities, they can be fine-tuned. For example, there can be redundant themes that require you to manually resolve them - such as separate themes for "discounts" and "promotions" despite them being the same topic. Due to the accuracy of the translations and AI, any Chattermill insights still require careful human review, to ensure the right takeaway is being extracted from the data.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Chattermill provides a centralized platform to harness all the different feedback sources we get. It also allows us to track sentiment over time, establishing useful filters and tags for our most important themes.

 ### 15. Intuitive and comprehensive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anna A. | AI Trainer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

It is very user-friendly, and it allows you to get an overview of sentiment. We are able to see pain points and our strengths in few short steps.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

It would be nice to have a sort of AI agent/assistant that can also help guide and troubleshoot. It is easy to formulate what type of data we want to see but not always clear how to get there, if there was an AI feature that can interpret the Results we want to see and guide through the steps on how to get there based on the specificities of our set up.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We receive a lot of feedback and have to sort through a lot of information and it used to be hard to zoom out and understand what the larger areas for improvement were, now we have a way to see the most important topics.

 ### 16. Instant Feedback Visibility That Speeds Up Reviews

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

Seeing my feedback instead of waiting till reviews

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Could use more useful insights not generic

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lets me see where I am making an impact

 ### 17. Chattermill makes it easier to review consumer feedback!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

What I like about using Chattermill is the ability to automatically categorise feedback by user, team, and site, which makes it easy to pinpoint exactly where issues or successes are occurring within the business. This helps us understand patterns across different points of contact and allows each team to focus on what’s relevant to them. The platform makes it much more efficient to identify trends and ultimately deliver a better customer experience.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

The interface can sometimes feel unintuitive, especially when trying to filter or drill down into specific feedback segments. It takes a few more clicks than necessary to get to the insights I need, which can slow down analysis in a time-limited crunch.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Chattermill helps solve the challenge of understanding and acting on large volumes of unstructured customer feedback. It helps identify and categorise both positive and negative comments, allowing teams to filter feedback by keywords, themes, or specific departments. This makes it much easier to uncover actionable insights, track recurring issues and monitor performance across different areas of the business.

 ### 18. Fast Data Categorization and Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

*That large volumes of data can be categorised quickly, and in multiple ways.
* Customer support are responsive

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

*Technical issues can be sometimes slow to resolve
* Works best if you have additional metadata to enrich the data to really understand the themes and how they impact your customers

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

* Understanding large volumes of data
* Sharing feedback cross functionally to drive action

 ### 19. Helpful for real-time feedback

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris A. | Operations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

Real-time feedback and having the ability to re-act to customers reviews as soon as possible

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

lack of introductions about analytics, seem like really useful tools but some training manuals would help

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Negative responses impacting trustpilots and reviews
However often a lot of responses are missed - although I imagine this is due to the integration with our own systems

 ### 20. Positive experience with Chattermill

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefano M. | Analytics Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

- Reports and dashboards are user-friendly and use to manage
- Reliable and trusthworthy brand
- Chattermill provide a goldmine of data for user sentiment and qualitative inputs

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

- API data not straightforward to set-up

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Chattermill is able to summarize public opinion and feedback analysis
- Unified view of product sentiment across device/platforms

 ### 21. Very useful for can be difficult to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

Very practical to get insights on customer's behaviours, and complains

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

The interface to be not intuitive, and it can be difficult to use

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it's helping me define customer complaints so I can improve training material for customer service agents

 ### 22. We have greatly improved our understanding of customers and the fidelity of our data

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

We have transformed our manual admin and time consuming data entry work, which was open to human error and misinterpretation, into an automated-algorithm tool that takes out the subjectivity of what customers are talking about, greatly reduced our manual data entry and has given us far greater levels of granularity in our data.
Onboarding was extensive and customised to our needs, which made it a relatively smooth process to get up and running.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

For our purposes, it's a good fit and has improved our ecosystem. However, if you were hoping it will solve all your problems and tell you exactly what's going on with a 'decision' at the end of the data, this is not what this tool is for. You will still need a educated human to come up with the next steps.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We ingest our Customer Support and NPS data, which was previously a heavily manual process for a team member.
We have increased the accessibility of data to other parts of the business, by now having self-serve dashboards that are set-and-forget.
The ease of access to this data has increased the level of interest and conversation about the topics coming out of our department, which were previously 'out of sight, out of mind'.

 ### 23. Valuable resource for Product Design

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niels K. | Product Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

As a Product Designer, I mostly use Chattermill during the early parts / discover stages of my project. Chattermill is a great way for me to understand user sentiments across our various communication channels and to help me pinpoint areas of further interested. I appreciate the design of the platform, the ability to create custom dashboards that I can share / link to for collaboration.
Being able to query our user sentiments based on search inputs and/or aspect of our app is super valuable as well. Besides discovery matters, I user Chattermill to build reports internally.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

While I do appreciate Chattermill as a product, I've found their AI features lacking. Eventhough the AI summaries can be useful, they sometimes (often) fall apart in rationale upon further scrutiny. I'm not sure if this is specific to Chattermill since many genAI tools halucinate.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Chattermill helps me get a quick overview of user sentiments and helps me direct my research in Product Designer (UX/UI) endeavours and as arguments (their dashboards) when writing business proposals

 ### 24. Great AI summarization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

Love that it summarizes sentiments and groups them accordingly making it easier for users to only look at one summarized phrase to see all related tickets/concerns to it.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

dropdowns on the left side is kinda confusing and the color if also not making it easier

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives us easier insight on what our customers are saying and also makes it easier for our team to determind if there are arising issues based on the most mentioned phrase recently

 ### 25. Easy Access Hints from Chattermill

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JR L. | Tools and Systems Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

This tool helps us during our peak weeks every quarter because the reports are very easy to use, show up summaries real quick and all options can be seen at the sidebar for easy access.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

I don't see any downside to using this tool. The only part that I don't like is the homepage which shows the instructions or a quick manual on how to use the tool.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As part of the technical team of the company, I use this tool to see if there are technical issues that were reported by our customers based on their feedback. Having those information is very important to me since not all agents are reporting the technical issues that our customers reports to us and from Chattermill we'll be able to escalate feedback related to technical to our IT.

 ### 26. Useful, but inaccurate

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

The streamlined nature in which feedback is received and tagged for organisation.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

The inaccuracy of tagging causes inaccurate insights fairly often

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving an issue of quality control, I can quickly see pain points that need addressing

 ### 27. Useful for aggrregating multiple feedback sources

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

Insights and theming are useful for analysing feedback across multiple datasources

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Would be good to hyperlink to a specific piece of feedback more easily

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Difficulty in analysing multiple and numerous feedback sources

 ### 28. Excellent resource to help understand feedback

 ### 30. Getting closer to customers worldwide

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

As a Product Manager of a global product available in more than 10 markets and 3 continents, it's sometimes challenging to get close to customers to hear their feedback. Chattermill makes this easy by aggregating different feedback sources. Its analysis engine allows to capture key user sentiments by aggregating user comments with good accuracy. The ease of use of the interface makes it particularly intuitive to use.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

The interface could help more the job-to-be-done of users such as Product Managers and tech teams related to the investigation of issues encountered by users of an app/website. As a user once I have identified patterns (set of comments) that I believe need to be investigated, I will need to bring key information back into the development flow so that the analysis can continue (i.e. Jira ticket, sharing with tech team etc.) At the moment this requires a series of manual copy/paste and is a tedious process.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a Product Manager I need to get closer to customers and hear what they are experiencing using my product. This is available in many different markets and continent. Chattermill is helping me finding product issues that are not evident from current product metrics and analytics used.

 ### 31. New to Chattermill

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse H. | DIgital Merchandising Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

My initial perception of AI summaries at the theme / tag level was happily changed, though the qualitative summaries provided. I felt like they would be too broad to have relevance, though am suprised. It seems well integrated into our ecosystem, and the tools to evolve that integration are clear.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

So far, I do struggle with the inability to use the tool in a sandbox format. I would love to be able to create private themes, dashboards, reports, that are available only to me until I decide to share with surrounding teams. Its possible that our integration is quite restricted on user ability, though wonder if this could be negated by a clear environment where all users can explore freely without breaking production level structures.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This will support in systemic, short term, and urgent product level feedback for my eCommerce realm.

 ### 32. Exceptional Insights and Customer Experience

The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it accessible for everyone on our team.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Chattermill can Introduce more advanced analytics capabilities, such as predictive analytics and trend forecasting, to provide deeper insights.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Chattermill consolidates feedback from various sources such as surveys, reviews, support tickets, and social media into a single platform

 ### 33. Chattermill is a powerful tool for aggregating and analysing customer feedback

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

Chattermill is a powerful tool for aggregating and analysing customer feedback across channels. Its intuitive dashboard and insights help teams identify key pain points and improvement areas. Great for aligning product and customer experience teams with real user sentiment.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

More enhanced and AI driven connection between all parties in a three sided marketplace

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Chattermill turns fragmented feedback into clear, strategic insight; essential for experience-led companies making customer-driven decisions at scale.

 ### 34. Chattermill review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Photography | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

The AI summary feature. I like that I can configure a dashboard and then read summaries and decide if I want to drill down or not

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

There's nothing I dislike personally. I think it's all fine based on my specific use case

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a Designer, Chattermill provides a centralised place for me to view customer's sentiment regarding specific features or gather feedback to support quant data

 ### 35. Chattermill - A Solid Customer Feedback Tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

I really appreciate how Chattermill makes it super easy to understand what customers are saying across different channels. The platform is quite user-friendly, and I don't need to be a data scientist to get valuable insights.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

The keyword search function could be improved, especially when searching for terms that don't exactly match the customer's text. For example, if I search for "difficult to use," it might miss feedback that says "not user friendly" or "complicated".

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Chattermill helps me organize customer feedback from different channels into one place. It saves me time by automatically analyzing comments instead of having to read everything manually. The keyword search needs work - it often misses similar phrases that mean the same thing, which is annoying. But overall, it's better than spreadsheets and helps me spot issues faster than before.

 ### 36. Exceptional ability to drive insights from Chattermill

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

I like how many insights we can get from chattermill through different survey methods and how we can use it to compare customer sentiment during different time periods, track the impact of various products, etc.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

There are sometimes issues with tagging data in Chattermill, and sometimes issues with being able to load data correctly in Chattermill. For instance, our customer flag for a certain customer segment at one period in time was not matching the same flag for data in our data warehouse.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Chattermill helps us determine how customers really feel about aspects of our business to allow us to understand the impact of various problems and programs that we are testing, such as our returns process or our sale policies.

 ### 37. Great tool for feedback analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

It's interface is easy to use with good analisis automations based on feedback given by customers.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

The report builder coul de more intuitive for new users.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps our company do review & feedback analytics from various platforms easily.

 ### 38. Responsive API support team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

When working with the API, we did encounter some snags but the team at Chattermill were VERY responsive and were able to identify and resolve the issues very quickly on their side. This gave us confidence in the feedback loop and importance they give to their product and overall developer experience.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

It would be nice to have a data dictionary or list of definitions for Chattermill specific fields. This is purely from the perspective of the data team who ingests this data and exposes the data as dbt models, of which we would want meaningful definitions of some of the data points for our internal data catalog.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Business Analysts use the Chattermill data to gather better insights

 ### 39. Great and intuitive.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin G. | Team Supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

I love the summarize feature of the tool.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Need to improve on report building to be more comprehensive.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting the sentiments of our customers through contact reasons/tagging.

 ### 40. Chattermill is committed to helping users make sense of the data.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike H. | Senior Business Analyst - Data, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

Customer insights are easier to distill with Chattermill.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Sentiment analysis is often tricky, and you have to have a gameplan to incorporate the summarized feedback, otherwise you're just spenging money on tech you're not using.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Chattermill solved the problem of sentiment analysis of our product in submitted customer reviews. It was very useful for that purpose.

 ### 41. User friendly and functions as we need it to

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

We are a franchise business with many studios and we are able to have a separate chattermill for each account but also look at everything in one place too centrally.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Not the most exciting platform to look at visually

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to gather reviews and feedback anonymously to ensure we better our studios

 ### 42. Like it

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sandrine G. | CSM, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

Easy to use interface that transforms complex customer feedback into clear, actionable dat

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Limited customization options for some advanced analysis needs

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It benefits us by automatically transforming open-ended feedback into actionable insights, helping identify trends and pain points directly from customer feedback .

 ### 43. usrful and easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yanyi C. | OPS, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

lots of clear data and easy to use. It is useful

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

it is not fast enough, the analysis can be more detail sometimes

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

analyse the feedback from guest. It can improve our perfermance

 ### 44. Useful Customer Feedback Sotware

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

Ability to research customer feedback for my product and utilizing competitive landscape to write useful copy

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

It is a tad manual, suggested edits can be clunky

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a consumer goods business, chattermill helped us understand how our copy compared with the competitors and how we could improve it

 ### 45. Really like it

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stelios K. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

I like the amount of segementation you can apply.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Sometimes the tagging is wrong and is tagged with too many themes. In the most part the correct theme is there but often it includes other unrelated themes

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me to quantify user issues from user verbatim in order to cut through internal stakholder noise and make the right priority calls.

 ### 46. Reference point for customer feedback analysis

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antonello C. | dottore, Apparel & Fashion, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

This software has greatly improved our customer feedback process. Thanks to its interface, it makes it easy for our team to quickly and efficiently analyze customer feedback and extract insights. The speed at which we are able to make changes to our processes and understand what is important to our customers. The Chattermill support team is always available to help with any questions or issues we may have.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

It presents some difficulty in changing the structure of themes/categories: we are a startup that is growing very quickly, so things change rapidly, and it is important for us to have the same agility in changing these structures to better understand our customers. Perceptions change, and the theme structure does not follow this trend.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Chattermill allows us to quickly and accurately identify trends in our customers' feedback, something we wouldn't have been able to do on a large scale ourselves. Now we are able to understand what causes friction in our interactions with customers and act more quickly than before. This has allowed us to prevent at-risk customer churn and significantly improve our customer experience.

 ### 47. Pretty good for customer satisfaction

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Annemarie J. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

You can easily filter on categories of your company to filter out which CSATs you want to see.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

The integration with Zendesk is on some fronts quite minimal, so it's quite hard to find the CSATs per user. But with a bit of searching it is doable.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can easily check customer and partner satisfaction rates this way, to incorporate it for monthly business reports and such

 ### 48. Amazing tool to help consolidate and visualize all your data!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

Easy to build dashoards and ways to visualize / share data

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

There is little flexibility on the dashboard visualizations (e.g colors, size of charts, annotation boxes, etc.).

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It takes out the time consuming nature of analyzing open ends, while also providing a space to easily see / compare your data across various sources.

 ### 49. Easy to navigate, great tool!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

You can easilty download the data you need in a vary of formats including: pdf, png, csv - which is super helpful. It also creates muliple ways to view the data too (including theme and phrase analysis).

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

The only downside is that it does not anonymise customer data in the comments they leave, which can add extra steps to the analyse sharing process

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What our customers are saying and using this data to help us solve problems with our current product and service

 ### 50. Chattermill

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emma L. | Reviews Advisor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Chattermill?**

I like how individualized you can make your searches on Chattermill. You can really tailor the data to what you need.

**What do you dislike about Chattermill?**

Our team uses Chattermill to look at reviews received for vacation rentals. Some feedback can show up as "private" on the listing, but there is no deliniation on Chattermill regarding where the public review starts and where the private section starts.

**What problems is Chattermill solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the problem of being able to look at data that typically exists on multiple different platforms all in one. I love being able to apply the same filters to different data sets.
