When looking for a new solution for our revenue data Chartmogul gave us the flexibility to re-categorize MRR changes that fit with our business model of contraction vs churn, and churn \> reactivation vs Expansion. I like the updates / notfications that you can automate to your email - specifically new account activations that include all the info I'm looking for. I don't use it in-depth enough to have discovered any dislikes at this point - it works perfectly for simple payment and new signup notifications + reviewing key metrics of the business regarding MRR, Run Rates, Churn Rates, Lifetimes Values, Etc. Recommendations to others considering ChartMogul: Probably not the first tool you need to start your subscription-based SaaS business, but an excellent platform for tracking MRR and customer trends while scaling and beyond. More importantly, we're using it to track trends within that information. It will show quick updates on expansion & contraction numbers that you can filter for a specific period of time very quickly. If you have a client move from an old subscription to a new one, you see churn or contraction which isn't always the case. The only option you have is to "connect subscriptions" which could skew the MRR numbers for previous months. If the new subscription is an upgrade, I would like for the net new MRR to display or if it's contraction, just the net MRR that was lost, not the entire subscription amount. Accurate, well researched metrics, great support, onboarding and API" 5/5 What do you like best about ChartMogul? ChartMogul just does things right out of the box. It's clear that they've done their research to make sure metrics are calculated quickly and accurately, following industry best practices while allowing you to customize key variables. We had a difficult use case, since we were migrating thousands of customers from Chargebee to Stripe Billing, and we needed a metrics solution that could keep us informed about the total MRR etc. even as customers were being unsubscribed in Chargebee and being recreated in Stripe. ChartMogul handled this complex scenario without a fuss. Their wonderful and detailed support helped guide us through the automation we needed to set up via their API to ensure a frictionless onboarding experience. We did have a small issue with how Chargebee is integrated (a link from their page for a customer to the relevant customer page in Chargebee) which we reported many months ago and still hasn't been fixed. Hopefully, this can be addressed soon, but given that we're moving away from Chargebee, it's not a high priority for us anymore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. As mentioned, we had to move all of our customers from Chargebee to Stripe Billing. This meant metrics in both CB and SB would be wrong since CB would show a lot of cancellations and a declining MRR, and Stripe would show a drastic increase in subscriptions. We first tried using Baremetrics for this, but their system was highly unreliable, with most metrics showing demonstrably false values. We addressed this with the Baremetrics team over more than 50 emails back and forth, but they were completely unable to address those fundamental challenges of having metrics that show correct data that you can rely on for making business decisions. ChartMogul completely reversed this experience by having a product that is clearly well researched, well tested, and well implemented. It's fast, reliable, extensible, and provides a great experience from onboarding to support to using the platform in our daily work. It's quickly become our new go-to website to open at the beginning of the day to see how our business is doing.
