We have been using it for a few years, mainly connected with Recurly, and it helps us understand subscription trends, deal performance, and revenue-related changes in one place. The Recurly integration has been especially useful for us because it lets us bring subscription data into ChartMogul without much friction. We also use the Slack integration to get notified about new subscriptions and changes, which helps keep the relevant teams informed without needing to manually check the dashboard all the time. From a UI and UX perspective, ChartMogul is fairly easy to use. The core dashboards are understandable, and it is easy to get a quick sense of what is happening without needing a lot of setup or training. Performance has also been solid for our use case. We have not noticed any major issues while using it. **What do you dislike about ChartMogul?** What I dislike about ChartMogul is that we have had some occasional issues with the Recurly integration. In a few cases, subscriptions were picked up as cancelled even though they were not actually cancelled, which meant we had to manually investigate and correct the data. This was not a constant problem, but it did create some friction because we rely on ChartMogul as an overview of subscription performance. When the data is not fully accurate, it adds extra manual work and makes it harder to trust the dashboard at a glance. We have other systems that contain this data, but none provide me with such clear, accurate insight as ChartMogul. **What do you dislike about ChartMogul?** I wish that I could ask it to strike exceptions. If a user buys two years of access at different moments, it recognizes as expansion, but actually, they only bought more access time. You link your Stripe account and it generates automatically a super clear dashboard. **What do you dislike about ChartMogul?** One downside about ChartMogul is that it sometimes think that there is a new subscriber when in fact the payment (from Stripe) has failed. It's clear that they've done their research to make sure metrics are calculated quickly and accurately, following industry best practices while allowing you to customize key variables. We had a difficult use case, since we were migrating thousands of customers from Chargebee to Stripe Billing, and we needed a metrics solution that could keep us informed about the total MRR etc. even as customers were being unsubscribed in Chargebee and being recreated in Stripe. ChartMogul handled this complex scenario without a fuss. Their wonderful and detailed support helped guide us through the automation we needed to set up via their API to ensure a frictionless onboarding experience. Any question we had was quickly answered with great attention to detail. **What do you dislike about ChartMogul?** We did have a small issue with how Chargebee is integrated (a link from their page for a customer to the relevant customer page in Chargebee) which we reported many months ago and still hasn't been fixed. Hopefully, this can be addressed soon, but given that we're moving away from Chargebee, it's not a high priority for us anymore. **Recommendations to others considering ChartMogul:** Get it! **What problems is ChartMogul solving and how is that benefiting you?** As mentioned, we had to move all of our customers from Chargebee to Stripe Billing. This meant metrics in both CB and SB would be wrong since CB would show a lot of cancellations and a declining MRR, and Stripe would show a drastic increase in subscriptions. We first tried using Baremetrics for this, but their system was highly unreliable, with most metrics showing demonstrably false values. We addressed this with the Baremetrics team over more than 50 emails back and forth, but they were completely unable to address those fundamental challenges of having metrics that show correct data that you can rely on for making business decisions. ChartMogul completely reversed this experience by having a product that is clearly well researched, well tested, and well implemented. It's fast, reliable, extensible, and provides a great experience from onboarding to support to using the platform in our daily work. It's quickly become our new go-to website to open at the beginning of the day to see how our business is doing.
