What do you dislike about Marq? There were a few menial downsides, such as the price point to unlock all features. I believe the package for business with more than one user or collaborater is required to unlock all tools. I did not need them all for a specific project but would have been nice. Recommendations to others considering Marq: For beginners, I highly recommend giving it a try! If you like the free version but need a little more features give the trial a try and see if it's worth the price! I thought it was for a month to month basis. What I like most about Lucidpress is that I can use it from the web, without installing any application on my computer. I also love that it has been a great help for me to create my own didactic materials, to show my students how they can present theirs, or to create publications as a collaborative project. Lucidpress has become my right hand to create excellent publications that I use in my classes, I have been able to create my own printed or digital publications for free, work them as a team with my students, and share them on the net. It allows you to collaborate on a design document in real time and has most basic features from InDesign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Marq? I cannot draw custom vector shapes. There are no blending modes. It also becomes unbearably slow when collaborating on a larger document, even if there is only one other person working with you at the same time. When I copy and paste an object, the software takes several seconds to recognize that and duplicate the image. Then I try to drag the copy, but due to the lag, I end up moving the original object instead, which is very frustrating. There are times that the lag has gotten so bad that everything froze and one of the collaborators would have to close the window in order for it to work again. Makes my laptop incredibly hot. Adobe software lacks real-time collaboration features like Google Docs, so Lucidpress is nice because it provides said features. It also makes the documents easy to share with others. Lucidpress has been a great tool for me to share our marketing materials with the rest of the university. By having a central location, other departments will be able to access, edit and print their own collateral, but the best feature is that they have to be approved by the designated administrator before they can even download it. Having to re-link all hyperlinks and images, formatting always comes in off from IDML, having to bring in individual brand assets, instead of multiple files, not automatically applying fonts to imported files, for some reason i had to re-size every logo because it would crop off the edges if i didn't. I am getting rid of one off requests of having to change a word here or there whenever someone wants to edit content. This will provide me with more time to work on bigger picture items. "Greate Template Designs" 4/5 What do you like best about Marq? I have daily blog posts and author posts. I'm also working on newsletters, and this site helps me accomplish every task. I like the fact that every button that needs to work on my designs is on the left side of the page and is very easy to find. This site must be one of my favorite favorites. I love how I can create many different visual projects with this site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Marq? Strictly limited to pc or mac. In todays age, mobility is crucial and lucid press needs to get the ability to function on an ipad. Lack of an app to be able to function using my ipad. Finally, my favorite thing about this site is that I can communicate with Microsoft and Google Drive. I especially like book template designs and newsletter template designs. What problems is Marq solving and how is that benefiting you? I enjoy using every feature of this software and it takes a lot of time. I'm liberating with what I'm trying to do.
