Char is an AI meeting notes and transcription tool that captures conversations, generates summaries, and extracts action items in real time. Unlike traditional AI meeting assistants, Char runs on-device, keeping all data private without relying on cloud recording or meeting bots. Char combines live transcription, AI-powered summaries, and structured note-taking in a fast, markdown-based interface. Users can bring their own AI models or use built-in ones, enabling flexible workflows without vendor lock-in. Built for professionals and teams handling sensitive conversations, Char delivers accurate meeting notes and task tracking while ensuring full control over your data—ideal for internal meetings, client calls, and privacy-critical environments.
