What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

What I have to say about Chaos Corona is that it feels simple and stress-free. The interface is super straightforward, so I can get realistic results without spending hours on settings. Lighting is always beautiful—whether I use HDRI or physical lights, the scene instantly comes alive. The material workflow also feels very natural, almost like I’m shaping the object with my hands. On top of that, it’s stable and reliable—no annoying crashes—and if you’ve got a strong PC, renders fly. Even on weaker hardware, Corona remains patient and completes the task smoothly. What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

It can be pretty demanding on RAM, especially with big, detailed scenes. If you don’t have a powerful setup, you’ll definitely feel your system struggling. Another limitation is that it only works with 3ds Max (and Cinema 4D), which feels a bit restrictive. It would be amazing to see Corona integrated with more platforms so it could reach a wider range of designers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Corona Render remains the best rendering solution for achieving realistic visuals without compromise."
5/5
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

The software is very robust and without flaws or bugs. Well optimized and regularly updated, it evolves well with market needs. It is easy to handle and the results are always without unpleasant surprises, a highly realistic outcome with the definition and detail that my renderings need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

The rendering time with Corona and the CPU in path tracing can quickly become a constraint in production. Because it can quickly become too long. Even for previews. Especially in the case of animation or for the production of many visuals. Fortunately, they have now offered Vantage and compatibility with Corona. But full compatibility for animation under Vantage with Corona is still somewhat awaited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Corona Renderer for Cinema"

What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

Corona has photorealistic renders and has become my staple rendering tool. Lot's of beautiful works in production! The Software is easy to navigate and manage to get quality renders, Installation is quite easy and straight forward. There is user support incase one is experiencing problems as well as a large community online. I use corona everyday to create visuals for my academic projects. Corona for cinema 4d is docked on the main menu hence works flawlessly with cinema 4d. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

I have a couple of bugs when using the software especially with light mix, after any modification when I run interactive renders, it keeps crashing and restarting cinema 4d. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unbeatable Ease and Price, Ideal for Archviz"
5/5
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

I like the ease of use of Chaos Corona. I have been using it for 10 years, since its first version, and I greatly value that my students can easily create images with the program. I also appreciate its better price compared to V-Ray, which was a determining factor for switching to Chaos Corona. The initial setup was very simple and I quickly got the hang of the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

The licensing system causes quite a few problems, I have to restart the License Server on many occasions because my students cannot detect the license. On that note, I will say that fighting against piracy is very important to me, it does a lot of harm to our sector. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from dijana boshkova of Chaos Corona

What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

Corona is very simple, but the result is the best! Easy to learn and easy to use. Chaos take care the users and they make a lot of changes according to users reviews. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

1. Navigation inside the chaos browser is hard now and not logical sometimes. 2. The exr workflow stopped with the online AI support, because we can't download the result in exr from the site. EXR is important in case of the post process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from dijana boshkova of Chaos Corona

Hi Berczi, thank you for the review! We’re glad to hear that Chaos Corona’s simplicity and ease of learning make it a strong tool, especially in educational settings.

"Realistic Renders with Some Speed Trade-offs"
4/5
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

I really appreciate Chaos Corona for its light mix feature, which lets me create different scenarios with just one render. I also value the highest quality it provides for still renders. The realism in renders is impressive and is something I aim for with each project. There's that extra feeling in the renders, maybe because of color management, and it's much better here than anywhere else. The initial setup was very easy, which was a relief. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

I think the speed could be better, and there are some bugs that basically destroy the scene. Also, it would be nice to improve lights and add more variations to them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from dijana boshkova of Chaos Corona

Hi Karolis, thank you for the review! We’re glad to hear that Chaos Corona’s Light Mix, color management, and overall image quality support your archviz work and help you achieve the level of realism you’re aiming for.

We also appreciate your feedback on performance, stability, and lighting options, as input like this helps guide ongoing improvements. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience!

"Realistic Rendering, Minor Material Challenges"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

I use Chaos Corona to render my interior design projects because it gives good textures to the materials. I like how you can easily put lights and adjust them later, and it looks realistic when it renders. This realism makes my projects closer to reality and my teachers at university are happier with the results. I also found the initial setup pretty easy with the help of a few tutorials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

Sometimes when I'm changing a material, I'm not sure how to change the color; the layers are too complicated sometimes. The materials could be made easier to access, and there could be a button to change the color, for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from dijana boshkova of Chaos Corona

Hi Melter, thank you for the review! We’re glad to hear that Corona is helping you learn and create realistic interior design visualizations.

We also appreciate your feedback on material color controls and accessibility. Input like this is valuable as we continue improving the product experience. Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback!

What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

Chaos Corona is my main render engine and it's the best one I've used. As a 3D artist, it resolves getting the best photorealistic results in the fastest way. I really enjoy the quality of lighting it provides and the fast process in getting my renders done in less time. Setting it up was really simple since it shares a similar interface with Vray.
