Chalkline is an hourly rate calculator for contractors. Enter your crew's pay, payroll taxes, workers' comp, overhead and the hours your techs actually sell, and it works out your true cost per hour, your break-even rate, and the rate that holds your target margin. It shows how much a low rate costs you per year, then builds a flat-rate price book from your own numbers. It catches common pricing mistakes like double-counted paid time off and margin vs. markup, and every result traces back to the inputs behind it. Pricing is per business, not per tech: $79 a month, or $119 for Chalkline Pro (good/better/best options, tech price lists on phones, customer option sheets). Browser or desktop. 14 days free, no card.
