Cetec ERP is very customizable, and offers both Cloud based and embedded solutions. Our particular system needed an in house ERP that integrated well with our production and manufacturing system, and the Cetec team worked with us to provide just what we needed. Cetec helped us take our purchasing and inventory system to the next level. As a startup, we had a lot of need to lay out our processes and organize our information. Conceptually, I feel like Cetec is a bit like one of those old log cabin homes that had different rooms built off of it at different times and in different styles, creating an odd multigenerational amalgamation that works, but can be jarring.
When I input information, do I need to click Save, or Update, or click somewhere else on the screen so that the box I was working in will flash green? Sometimes I need to check a box next to the line I was working on in order for the change I was making to take effect. Support team listens to your requirements and they find answers. You can always reach a person when you need help. When you make errors, the Cetec ERP System doesn't punish you! Reversing errors are easy to understand and do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not many things we do not like. However, one pet peeve I have are the email support tickets. Normal emails you have a chain of replies and it's easy to follow. With Cetec ERP support emails, the original problem is truncated from any replies. So instead of looking at one email, I need to filter out each reply as individual emails. Cetec ERP does have a support portal online that does keep these in better shape. However, living in an email world it would be nice to have organized the emails better. Some of the downsides are the costs of making changes to automate your system how you want. Lack of knowledge by some of their team members, some training that isn't there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that you can customize the key terms to code specific search results from the bar at the top of the screen Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike strongly that you can not customize the fields on the NCR report.
One is unable to search for Corrective actions and NCRs by title in the search engine.
And lastly, when searching for NCRs unless I export the file, which doesn't always do so in a timely manner, I cannot access all NCR history and classify information in a useful manner. Grouping of these NCRs with tags or a CUSTOM CATEGORY FIELD THAT IS SEARCHABLE FROM THE HOME NCR SCREEN is ideal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We appreciate the review and feedback. Have you contacted support with these issues? We support bonus columns (custom fields) on the NCR object - you can then make these searchable for your reporting. I've linked a how to for this process here, and you will find NCR available in your bonus column list.
Title is a filter on both NCR and CAR list - so perhaps there is another issue you are having, or this can be addressed by training. Additionally, we are about to release Custom Forms, which will allow you to build your own custom data collection on any object (NCR, inspections, etc).

It lacks adequate customizability. The browser based interface is not intuitive, and to be marginally efficient requires opening so many tabs that it slows down some computers. The organization of the menus and most of the content seems convoluted. In terms of documentation control, it is more or less completely lacking, leaving it to be controlled largely manually, which really is no control at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

However, no system is perfect, and speed and ease of use are top priority for us, so we would love to hear more about the specific pain points in navigating and using the system. You can leverage this to design your own approval process (with some protections to ensure only the approved document revision is in circulation). Support can do a deeper dive with you to rework those steps around some of the hardcoding of the approvals.
