What do you like best?

As I help drive my company's website experience initiatives, it's easy to see the value in providing a shopping experience that serves up personalized recommendations and helps automate the process of getting the right product in front of the customer as quickly as possible. Certona offers solutions to make sure your customers are getting the experience they've come to expect as savvy online shoppers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Implementation has been a very rocky road, we are still waiting to realize the full functionality that we signed on to receive almost a year after first signing with them. We asked about the availability of specific features in their search tool during our sales calls, were promised the functionality we requested was available and then after signing learned that their current version of the tool didn't offer the features we need. Recommendations to others considering the product:

Be prepared for a lengthy implementation process. This includes having to follow up often with your account rep to ensure progress is being made. Also, like most vendors, be wary of promises made by the sales team. Vet any must have technical requirements with your own technical team and a member of their technical team. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Besides having an automated, data driven way to serve up a personalized experience for our customers Certona also is giving us valuable insight into how our customers are interacting with the recommendations which in turn allows us to continue to improve the overall experience.
