This allows a great amount of flexibility to extend the base functionality of the platform to take advantage of the power of the Salesforce platform with its native approval, automation processes and ability to link to other functions handled within the platform. This also means that for organizations like mine who have Salesforce Admins on staff are able to manage and enhance the platform without requiring them to hire any specific skill sets **What do you dislike about Certinia PS Cloud?** The UI for Expense Entry can be a bit cumbersome. It provides a single source of truth and one stop shops for a variety of business users such as sales, business operations, resource managers, project managers and billing. PSA is relatively easy to use and is well supported by the FF Community which has a tonne of training and information on features. **What do you dislike about Certinia PS Cloud?** More features for project management especially on out-of-the-box metrics and both in-depth forecasting and reporting. Customization is discouraged, which means IT teams need to be reliant on upcoming releases for enabling new features. Fortunately, PSA does frequent improvements with 3 major releases per year. **What problems is Certinia PS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** FinancialForce PSA being integrated with SFDC and the sales pipeline has positively changed the business. The tool provides demand forecasting and the ability to start seamlessly creating + resourcing projects before they are even confirmed. This has been particularly beneficial for setting up and managing fast pace/short engagements that run 3-6 weeks. It has provided a link between sales and delivery and can track every step of the way. ### 12. Our PMs don't need to complete any manual processes to sync up time card data from the teams with their financial data and schedule. Because everything is online, it provides a wealth of data available for real time dashboards and reports. **What do you dislike about Certinia PS Cloud?** We have a complex professional services business with contract types that have led us to doing some customizations beyond the base functionality to get what we need, but the system allows this to be done. As new functionality is brought online like Gantt, and I think they need to move faster to implement ideas coming from users rather than continuing to add new big capabilities, or balance it out better. **Recommendations to others considering Certinia PS Cloud:** If you are implementing PSA in a complex environment, I would recommend that you have a good implementation partner to help you. That has been a big part of our success. We used CLD Partners for our implementation. **What problems is Certinia PS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** We now have an online system that integrates all the project delivery information in one place. Instead of using spreadsheets, word documents, and Microsoft project, our PMs can input their project schedule, financial information, issues, risks, stakeholders, etc. into PSA and Salesforce and we have dashboards that allow the management team to be aware of project progress and health. We had to do lots of customization to mimic that functionality for larger project teams. The project planner is extremely hard to use. It takes a long time to load; however, the new filtering capabilities (released on Fall 21) has added lots of good values **Recommendations to others considering Certinia PS Cloud:** FinancialForce is an excellent tool for smaller companies; for a company with our size (8k users) you need to do lots of customization, and it comes with lots of maintenance. The upgrades are manual and aren't pushed like Salesforce so you should spend lots of time managing it. EVAs are very hard to manage and create many records that take up storage. **What problems is Certinia PS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** We didn't have a tool for our consultants to submit T&E; we use FF to run billing and revenue and cost recognition. When compared to others, this solution has all of the needs to meet small to enterprise level companies. We needed a solution that would show us what projects our team is working on and when they will have availability to take on more work. Our CPM's could be managing 50+ small projects, and it would be nice to have a rapid entry interface for core project data (dates, risks, issues, project status, etc.). At the same time FF PSA provides a lot of flexibility to us by giving various custom settings and config options within the package. It has seamless integration with Financialforce Accounting package so we do not have to worry about the integration issues as well.
