For example, when creating projects from templates we are unable to specify if a certain value is pulled from the project template vs the related opportunity. PSA being a module of Salesforce and linked to Financial Force helps us leverage existing customer and contract information when tracking employee time for deployment of customer projects. The fact that PSA documents everything and tracks changes so we can have a history of who we've assigned to which projects, how much time they've delivered, and the fact that it integrates directly with Salesforce to make reporting easier. The inability to customize the resource planner is sometimes frustrating, the fact that you can't report on data from the resource planner is constantly frustrating, reporting is sometimes inexplicably off, and there is not great integration with some packages that have caused us serious problems. Recommendations to others considering Certinia PS Cloud: Make sure you're thinking long-term during your implementation and not just trying to go from what you've done in the past and try to mold PSA to do what you were doing before. Hard not to love that it's integrated into Salesforce very natively. Some of the new features they are building are looking very promising - like resource management, the gantt chart, etc. Expenses is pretty easy inside FF, and timecards aren't bad either. It struggles to keep up with the project management features in comparison to other enterprise PPM type solutions.
