**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

Cerner is very easy to use. The Ad Hoc I believe is the best feature, and this is something Epic is lacking. Cerner is very easy to navigate.

Having to use Athena to check in patients, and not having access to outside records (which they have started to do with Wheaten Franciscan records)

**Recommendations to others considering Cerner:**

I haven’t personally found things I dislike. I’m not an administrator but if there is ever a problem or something that needs fixed it gets done. Patient charting

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

Cerner power chart is an easy to use system. It is very easy to use and has multiple ways to chart on the same topic- making it very user friendly

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

There are many areas of powerchart that are very repetitive and make you chart the same thing multiple times. Med Recs can also be confusing for beginners using this system.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerner:**

Evaluate it before deciding compair to epic

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are many areas of power chart that are very repetitive and make you chart the same thing multiple times. Med Recs can also be confusing for beginners using this system.

  ### 20. great ! however not awesome yet .

User frienddly , however it can improved .
Safe to use . locks after innactivity .

2. I think a live feed can be provided of the situation in all critical areas : surgery , ER, waiting rooms Maternity etc . and even conected to security .

  ### 21. Medical Scribe with ScribeAmerica

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

I love that the new Cerner dynamic documentation includes different templates and dot phrases. I also like the ability to link certain diagnoses with different medications.

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

I dislike that the new Dynamic Documentation does not allow to switch authors of the note. As I am a medical scribe, not a physician, after the physician signs my note that I created for them, it still looks as if I, myself, signed off on the note. So instead of being able to search for the consult not under the physician's name, they must search for the note under my name.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerner:**

I would make sure that you run through a training course on how to use this system.

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I would say that a lot of the forwarding problems have been solved through dynamic documentation. The chart automatically links the referring physician directly in the note. This serves as a good reminder for who ever is reviewing the note to forward the note on.

  ### 22. Great Health Record App

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

Everything is pretty simple. There’s not much to dislike.

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There’s some glitches as far the sign in. It sometimes says it doesn’t recognize my login information.

  ### 23. Easy to use

**Reviewed by:** Lusine P. | RN, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2018

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

Easy to find icons and to navigate . Easy yo log in and add and use patients charts, see labs, document on cerner, etc. easy to find recent labs, read history and physical, hind phone numbers. Overall, I have a pretty good experience with it and compared to Epic I prefer Cerner.

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

Nothing particularly. Sometimes it’s redundant because you document the same information in few different places. Tasks are repetitive so takes time to complete the highlighted areas.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerner:**

Would recommend

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Work in a hospital

The intake and output features in iview are a bit confusing.

There is great benefit to having an EHR that compiles all patient information in any easily accessible format. That’s why I love cerner.

  ### 25. User friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2019

  ### 26. I love this straightforward system to chart on patients.

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

Each profession’s notes are well organized and easy to find to determine each patient’s conditions.

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

I can’t think of anything to improve this electronic medical record.

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We worked on methods to better implement delivery of supplements to patients using Cerner as a way to hold nurses accountable to deliver them and record delivery.

  ### 28. Cerner Millennium

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

Great program used in most hospitals in my city. Very user friendly and prices a seamless medication administration process. Great for allowing data synchronization from all hospital sites to streamline information on the electronic health record and provide all health care providers access to all diagnostic procedures and medical encounters for a patient.

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

Specific to our facility, nursing and allied staff still have document on paper as opposed to physicians who have access to online documentation. Hopefully this will roll out in the next couple years.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerner:**

None

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not sure how this would apply to our field as we aren't in the business area. But in terms of medication administration, the use of HUGO (closed circuit med process where we scan the patrons arm band, then scan the medication which has to match the patient profile, specific medication and medication administration time) this mitigates medication errors significantly.

  ### 29. User friendly for pharmacist

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erika Bailey K. | Clinical Pharmacist, Hospital & Health Care, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

Very user friendly. I came from using Epic at a previous job and I prefer Cerner. After one or two days of training on Cerner, I felt very comfortable.

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

I don't like how Power Chart and Med Manager are two different programs. I wish there was a way to see the Power Chart info while verifying orders within Med Manager

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No business problems, but the Med Reconcilliation program of Power Chart is very helpful in order to improve patient safety.

  ### 30. Great product for our hospital

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

I have been working with Cerner Scheduling and Registration for the past 15 years and Capacity Management for the past 4-5 years. The applications have come a long way and they have improved immensely. I enjoy teaching our staff how to use it and finding the best way for each clinic to customize the application to meet their needs.

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

It takes a long time to get enhancements.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerner:**

There are no perfect systems. As far as this one goes, it is a great product and headed in the right direction for growth and change.

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are so many more products that we currently do not have but could benefit in using. I have realized that the different products work well together and that they can be used in many different ways in order to adapt to the needs of the clinical areas.

  ### 31. Cerner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

Cerner applications are better than allscripts or epic. They have specific applications depending on your role. Powerchart is the most common but there’s also Firstnet for ER, Surginet for Surgery and AppBar for scheduling and registration. Cerner allows hospital staff to provide efficient patient care. They are able to track patient beds, chart on patients, provide necessary medication and much more.

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

This application often times stops communicating with other applications and devices. Interface issues can prevent patient care. The medical device result sometimes do not cross over to cerner.

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps doctors nurses, registration staff, coders, and others provide quality patient care.

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

Sometimes the opening of several different windows is frustrating and difficult to manage

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cerner does sometimes load slowly depending on the connection. Our agency is able to store vital client information that we need to access while out in the field and complete evaluations.

  ### 33. 2 years. Train wreck to efficient

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

How organized everything can be in relation to other departments of our facility.

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

There is a lack of support from Cerner when troubleshooting. So much of what we’ve been successful in, we have done so on our own.

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A much cleaner workflow and standardization of care. Continuity from the offices to our main facility has been phenomenal.

  ### 34. Resident Physician

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

I am very used to the format and layout, it is easy to navigate and very obvious to learn.

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

The speed of updates is quite slow. The sifting of documents does not have efficient filters.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerner:**

Highly recommended

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cerner needs to slowly have programs to extract data for research.

  ### 35. EMR

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael A C. | Hospitalist, Hospital & Health Care, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

I was part of the team that developed the notes we are using on our Cerner EMR in the hospital. The Cerner reps were very helpful in the build process and integrating our needs and adapting some of our paper documents into the actual EMR.

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

Some of the work arounds are not easily identifiable, some seemingly simple things are sometimes mad too complicated. When some problems have been identified and submitted for solutions to Cerner we are told there is no way to fix a given problem but other Cerner users have shared fixes in other forums.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerner:**

In considering adoption of Cerner one should make sure you will be getting input into the design of your daily EMR forms and the support to change your documents later on.

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None

  ### 36. Preferred EHR

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

Cerner products integrate well with a lot of different software. I prefer some of their EHR products over any others. Power chart in particular is easy to navigate and much more organized than other EHRs I have used.

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

Sometimes power chart does not render things to print very well that has been uploaded from certain external softwares.

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EHRs

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

Ability to click on a tab to display patient details from outpatient and inpatient stays. It is a comprehensive EHR

Nothing besides improving overall look to appear more modern and sleek.

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data storage, protecting PPI, delivering fast innovative patient care.

  ### 41. Solutions for patient information, real time and instantly. HIPAA secure!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

Patient portal and education: Integrates with the EHR and their longitudinal record. The patient portal allows members to communicate with providers through secure messaging to book or change appointments, view clinical information, request refills, update information and send files.

Patient Education: Accredited, evidence-based data supplemented by best practice guidelines and standards of care from leading medical associations is provided within the EHR for physicians.

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

Dragon Voice Recognition in the EHR does a poor job with speech recognition.

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Company wide view of clinical information to coordinate patient care and document the point at which it was delivered in both acute inpatient and outpatient settings. It helps providers have access to the right information within the clinical workflows to make the best possible decisions.

  ### 42. Cerner Ambulatory and PowerChart

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2017

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

I mange the PowerChart Touch users and devices, this system is not 100%, but it seems to get the job done for our physicians. I love that they have the ability to dictate through an iPad and that I have the ability to manage the devices that this is all happening from.

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

In PowerChart data does flow to the PowerChart Touch application and vice versa. This is a pain for our providers and our support staff when troubleshooting what the issues are. Trying to explain that only certain things can be transferred over sometimes is not ideal.

**Recommendations to others considering Cerner:**

It's better than Siemens ESOAR. Providers like it.

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability for providers to dictate on an iPad or iPhone makes mobility and efficiency easy.

  ### 43. Cerner is GREAT!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geraldine O. | Oncology Tech, Hospital & Health Care, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Cerner?**

I like that Cerner is fairly easy to navigate around once you get use to it. When charting patients vital signs it is easy to tab over to the next section without having to leave the keyboard, which makes it convenient due to the tremendous amount of information needed to be inputed per patient.

**What do you dislike about Cerner?**

While it takes some time to get use to using Cerner, there are many different pages and tabs to navigate around. Also, sometimes the same information can be found in multiple areas which can get confusing because sometimes they do not match (due to being in different sections).

**What problems is Cerner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have not encountered any business problems while using Cerner. I have noticed many benefits since we have changed users. Easier access to patient charts and being able to find information needed as well as organization.
