The Learn Module is easy to navigate. Holiday and absence management is straightforward, and it's easy to set up onboarding tasks to new joiners and keep track of important 1-1 meetings. **What do you dislike about Breathe?** I would say the recrutiment module. There is no option to add personalised/custom made questions to the module to screen out candidates, there is no option to build in our own brand either, the application page is quite basic, no other options for work type/pattern like hybrid, remote, fixed term contract, flexibility etc (we have to type everything manually); we cannot rename the interview stages (our business don't have telephone screens so it would be good if we could rename the stage to suit our own process), candidate communication could be smoother and easier to navigate - option to select from templates when the winow pops up to send an email to candidates. There is no automation or AI involved to reduce the manual workload. Brilliant platform overall, but with a few small issues. **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Building Materials | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2024 **What do you like best about Breathe?** Everything is all in one place now we use the Rota, Time and Attendance aspect, which makes everything more efficient, saving the company time and money. **What do you dislike about Breathe?** There are still a few teething issues with the rota aspect of Breathe that stop it from being as fluid to use as we would like, such automatically applying breaks where not needed (e.g. on 4 hour shifts which then need manually overriding), each manager not being able to have their own settings reference auto sharing rotas and not being able to easily add staff to multiple rotas for when they support at other branches. These are all small details that would make the platform easier to use and more effective for our company. **What problems is Breathe solving and how is that benefiting you?** Breathe is helping us keep track of absences and effectively monitor these, as well as see any outstanding documentation for this. It also tracks the clocking in and out of our employees and monitor things like lateness. What the rota aspect does more effectively than the previous system we used is template rotas and quickly update / change rotas. Now, everything is all together in one place and takes so much less time to do. I can easily export holiday reports for our accountant, everyone's documents are easily accessible and tracking absences takes no time at all. Our HR consultant initially recommended it to me and had offered to help set it up, but I did it all myself and there were no problems at all. if and when you need to contact customer support, they have a chat function and come back to you very quickly. I generally log into Breathe once or twice a week, as necessary. **What do you dislike about Breathe?** I can't really think of anything I dislike about Breathe. You can't build your own reports and the reports that are pre-built are limited and not that useful. This makes a lot of tasks long-winded as you have to go in and out of each employee's profile. Although i'm concerned about the fact that holiday isn't automatically pro'ratered. It is good to have a central system for employee details, however you can't pull reports using these details so it borderline makes inputting all details pointless. Breathe does just about all of what our previous system did, but a whole lot more. Plus, it's lower-cost! We now have a shared employee database, including a dynamic org chart, staff directory, and holiday calendar. We're also starting to use Breathe for performance management and will start to use it to help us manage recruitment and employee onboarding. We have chosen to not integrate with our Xero-based payroll, but we may consider that in the future. Before deciding to go with Breathe, we compared a number of alternative solutions. Breathe was by far the best value, offering more features for less cost. Implementation was very quick and easy. I use the system daily and find it relatively clear and easy to use. When we have had queries, the online documentation is good and the customer services team is very responsive. Highly recomended! **What do you dislike about Breathe?** Breathe doesn't have many of the features we saw and liked in competing solutions, but you get what you pay for I guess. In particular, the Recruitment module is very basic to the point where we may not end up using it. The tutorial I was given was very good and any questions I have are responded to very promptly. It also felt quite appropriate for a UK based company in terms of it's language and functionality. I like the "welcome email" function which made it very easy to implement amongst staff. Using Breathe has cut down on a lot of admin for lots of the team. **What do you dislike about Breathe?** It would be good to be able to customise some more areas. For eg there are functions on the dashboard we won't use but are not able to turn off. It would also be good to customise the "people" section and have the the option to add one or two of your own tabs.I know there is a Custom tab but that only allows you to see that data for one person and not the collective whole. I also found the permissons section a bit tricky and have had to use workarounds for holiday approving.
