There is a steep learning curve with the user navigation. Moving through the software at times feels counter intuitive and it is easy to get lost. I think by implementing some UI best-practices as well as adding more visual cues could really benefit the ease of use of the software.

Since I am new to the system, I liked learning the process on how a style is created and the different tools that you can use to adjust your view and make your projects suitable for you.

Centric PLM is exceptionally well thought out. It's obvious the various modules were developed from the same point of view - in other words, they were NOT all written independently and then cobbled together. If the user understands functionality of one section, they are intuitively able to apply that understanding to other sections. Centric is also exceptional in that the team actively seeks input from their users. They often incorporate user suggestions, which makes Centric that much more usable to the industry. Our implentation was led by an excellent Centric team which made the process quite easy and understandable. The same team helped us to integrate Centic with our existing ERP platform, saving untold hours and increasing accuracy dramatically. Customer support is excellent - whether we have a question OR a system problem, it is typically resolved within two hours. I have a tough time coming up with a downside to Centric PLM. If I had to pick something, I would have to say that a Centric purchase is not inexpensive. In fact, the team is prompt to alert interested parties that Centric may be the most expensive platform - but that it is the best available and is used by many major manufacturers. And they are correct. We paid a little more for Centric as opposed to other systems, but the time savings and increased accuracy have more than offset that increased investment.
