**What do you like best about Census GPT?**

I had been toiling on a project for which I needed to do extensive data analysis and it had become quite annoying having to manually search through all those huge - boring websites just for that particular data but that is where census gpt came in. It saved me quite a bit of time and in fact improved upon my existing my already collected data by allowing me add age and gender filters to my data.

**What do you dislike about Census GPT?**

The few drawbacks I think is that its a little slow, sometimes even a simple query takes too much time to load. And besides that the fact that it has only US centric data is also a disadvantage.

**What problems is Census GPT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has made data analysis easier, at least for US-centric data. For instance, the Census Gpt could add requested filters to your data accurately and swiftly instead of struggling manually.

  ### 2. it made easy to retrive data and analyse it

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Census GPT?**

The structure of data and it easy to use and also doesn't take much effort from the user to understand it

**What do you dislike about Census GPT?**

May still improve the UI, make it more attractive

**What problems is Census GPT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

understanding the demographics

  ### 3. Get data for research and analysis quick and quite accurate

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Census GPT?**

It saves a lot of time when searching some relevant data like which is the highest number of houses in USA

**What do you dislike about Census GPT?**

Only limited to US, and no citation on sources also the UI is not that great

**What problems is Census GPT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily curate relevant data that takes time in web searching

  ### 4. Decent AI for accessing US census stats for customer analytics but could use some work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Census GPT?**

One of my clients wanted to better understand, analyze and list out basic demographic data in a few key market regions across the U.S. Obviously the U.S. Census has that info, but parsing through that data on the .gov site is a pain. I did some investigation and found Census GPT and was intrigued. It has a lot of promise, but also needs some fine tuning.

First the good stuff: As its name implies, it uses models like GPT-3 to understand my questions about census and demographic stuff. It digs into its collection of public data from places like the U.S. Census Bureau and FBI Crime Data to come up with a personalized answer for you. I was able to quickly find MOST of what my client wanted.

The best part was its accessibility: You just type your questions like you normally would in ChatGPT so you no longer have to use all those queries and shortcuts on the census website. It's even pretty good, surprisingly, at understanding complicated questions with conditions, comparisons, and other fancy stuff. For example, I added in layers of demographics on top of gender, location and economic data and it understood me.

I also like that Census GPT looks at the bigger picture to give you the most fitting responses. I'd say it was accurate for understanding and sharing the data I wanted about 95% of the time.

And that was key, getting the facts right. Since it only uses solid government data that gets updated regularly, I had a lot of confidence in what it was telling .e

Oh and it's fast! I didn't have to wait long between queries. It reminded me of the standard ChatGPT bot in terms of response times.

**What do you dislike about Census GPT?**

I didn't love the lack of customer support. I get that it's a beta product, and at a very early stage at that. However, if you want to give them feedback on what needs to change or be updated, you have to go through cumbersome channels and steps, like setting up a Discord account to access their Discord channel. This is clearly for early adopters. Similarly for an early adoption stage product, there are absolutely no integrations. I'd love to have some access to the API, etc., or even sync this up with apps like Slack, but I'm sure that'll come once they get enough reviews and feedback from other early adopters so they can show their dev team the use cases and what's needed from us. Not so much a big con, but just some things you should know!

**What problems is Census GPT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Targeting my client's ideal customer demographics in a specific area, using key demographic data like income levels, sex/gender, education, race, etc. It was pretty dynamic at adjusting to what I was looking for.
