I find the integration with third-party systems great — for most systems, there are Celonis Standard Connectors. The pre-built Process Mining functions are also very helpful, as they make both data input and the sharing of Celonis Insights with various stakeholders straightforward. Having moved from Process Mining to a full scope Process Intelligence platform, powered by the Object-Centric Process Model, differentiates Celonis from other technologies that focus in specific parts of the process management and improvement realm. Also the fact that Celonis is now a platform where anyone can build process intelligence solutions, from simple process analysis to full process orchestration, makes it a powerful complement to any business and IT landscape. Finally, the approach to AI is brilliant. With Celonis Process Intelligence Graph as the center piece of business knowledge (not just data), Celonis can feed AI with the right business context for decision taking and agentic execution, at the same time the it serves as a perpetual monitor for all operations and actor interactions, both human and synthetic. Celonis is heavily attached to financial-based processes (P2P, O2C) and lacks foundational support to domain-based processes such as Banking or Insurance. Also, as a platform, it needs to incorporate a technical way for developers to protect their IP by allowing them to shield their source code and strategical assets. Anyone with ADMIN access can see and do anything in a specific implementation, which leaves solution building partners exclusively with contractual protection and no effective safeguards of their IP. Recommendations to others considering Celonis: Make sure you don't get confused by the similarity of some of the visuals that Celonis provides with those that you find in BI tools. Celonis will give you a very accurate vision on how your processes are being executed and, more than that, it will allow you to immediately act on them. If you go for a Proof-of-Concept before you take a decision, make sure you get a solid use case that can show these features working right from the start. Also, don't be afraid of your first reaction when the results start showing up. It will be something like “I’m pretty sure that can’t possibly be right” but be prepared because… maybe it is. Don’t forget Celonis will be looking for what’s happening “under the hood” and sometimes we’re happy that the car is running fine but we’re not aware it could be running much more efficiently and excelling in its performance. Celonis offers a wide range of powerful features, with its Gen-AI capabilities being particularly impressive. Tools such as Copilot, Insight Explorer, and the Annotation Builder allow users to define prompts and automatically generate insights based on process data. These features continuously improve their responses by learning from user feedback, making analysis faster and more intuitive. Another key capability of Celonis is Object-Centric Process Mining (OCPM). OCPM is especially valuable when there is a need to analyze multiple business objects simultaneously and understand how their events are interconnected. It provides end-to-end visibility across complex processes, enabling deeper insights into object relationships, event correlations, and real process behavior beyond traditional case-centric process mining. I believe there are a few areas that need improvement: Filter Bar Module The filter bar module has a fixed size, which limits usability. It would be beneficial to make it more flexible or responsive so it can better adapt to different screen sizes and use cases. Copilot Response Accuracy On the Copilot side, the responses are not always accurate. For example, when we ask for Top 10 or Top 20 results, Copilot often returns the overall dataset instead of the requested subset. Additionally, after generating a few responses, Copilot sometimes becomes unresponsive or freezes. Visualization Issues The column bar chart output is not displaying correct values, whereas the table component shows accurate results for the same data. This indicates a mismatch between the data used for visualizations and tabular outputs. Prompt Refinement Limitations While prompt refinement helps improve results, there are limitations: Only 10 refinements are allowed. Only 10 recommendations can be suggested at a time. Earlier we was spending lot of time in manual checking of steps and reports, but now system directly show bottlenecks and rework area.
