Recommendations to others considering CbC Reporting:
For infrequent / once off conversion of financial statements to iXBRL format, Datatracks provides an excellent solution. Further, they make contact on the anniversary of a submission which is also very helpful. We no longer act for the client company for which we required accounts to be converted, but I would not hesitate in recommending Datatracks to a firm of similar size. What problems is CbC Reporting solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a small firm of accountants and most clients are small companies and their financial statements are exempt from full statutory audit. The exception was one company with a turnover that exceeded the €8.8m threshold that require full statutory accounts to be uploaded to Irish Revenue in iXBRL format. We sent soft copy of the financial statements to Datatracks for conversion to iXBRL. They were converted and made available for download within the 3 day limit. There were no issues with the financial statements that were uploaded. In my view, Datatracks provides an affordable and excellent solution for small practitioners to this problem and spares them unnecessary investment in software for this once off issue.
