What do you like best about Catchpoint?

The Catchpoint adhoc reporting platform is extremely powerful and flexible. Allows us to 'slice and dice' the data in so many ways.

The reporting capabilities are better than Keynote and Gomez, both of whom we previously used.

What do you dislike about Catchpoint?

No real downsides iI can think of other than APM in general, with all vendors including Catchpoint, is extremely expensive.

What do you like best about Catchpoint?

I like the tool but I like best the support that Catchpoint provides, it's super fast to get an answer and they keep in touch even after the ticket was closed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Catchpoint?

Sometimes I don't feel the tool very user friendly. Once I had to contact support for a silly question like see the past runs of a script. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Catchpoint:

Provide more training on a higher lever, I mean a training for scripting. The training currently included in Catchpoint is mainly oriented to admins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dinged Catchpoint slightly for ease of use, set up, and admin. I wish the questions were worded differently, but even though some aspects of the tool are more complex than competitors, the functional gains make the LOE worth it hands down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Catchpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

Ability to ensure product reliability globally, and have the information to act quickly if something goes wrong. In addition, I lead 2 operations teams, whose expertise varies. What do you like best about Catchpoint?

The Catchpoint product is very easy to use and intuitive and has all the features I look for in a synthetic monitoring tool. And their customer support is out of this world. They typically answer calls/chats within a minute and the L1 support staff are very knowledgeable/capable. They follow up on a frequent basis for issues that cannot be resolved right away, and Catchpoint is always willing and eager to join ongoing incident calls if needed to help us troubleshoot issues. What do you dislike about Catchpoint?

I am very happy with the product, but if there was one area I would like to see it improved, I would say the REST API could be updated to expose more information such as alerts and contacts through the API. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are executing synthetic monitoring against most of our top tier apps from both inside and outside of our organization. Catchpoint generally helps us narrow down on potential root cause such as network issues, data center issues, etc... very quickly.
