"Castr Platform"
5/5
What do you like best about Castr?

1. The overall platform has been excellent

2. Regular upgradation of the platform features

3. Customer Support

4.UI is very user friendly

5. With a few additions on the platform features it will be a great replacement of OBS ( this is possible looking at way the management is implementing the features with technology as required by the users ) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Castr?

1. I think castr will be a competition to many going ahead if they implement all the features which are on their wishlist to implement ( its just time that they need to manage ) so basically i dont dislike but many others will Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy and Professional, but Multilingual is Needed"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Castr?

I like the very fast part of Castr and also the management of live content, which is very intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Castr?

In my opinion, the multilingual feature should be improved; only English is available, but addressing an international audience, it would be appropriate to have other languages as well. Also, regarding the ticket commissions, it would be appropriate to state that besides those from castr, there are also those from starpi and to what extent they are present. "Castr is an easy to use, and reliable streaming service"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Castr?

We use Castr every week to livestream our Sunday services, and it’s been a fantastic solution for our church. We love that Castr provides a stable, reliable stream with powerful features, at a competitive price. We’ve looked at other platforms, but none match what Castr offers for the value.

One of the things we appreciate most is how user-friendly Castr is. We started using it during COVID-19 when we had to learn how to livestream quickly—and Castr made that transition incredibly smooth. We were up and running in no time, and we’ve experienced almost zero stability issues since we began using it in 2020.

Recently, we even downgraded our subscription since we no longer needed some of the features we previously used. The process was refreshingly simple—the billing page was easy to find and navigate, and I didn’t need to call anyone or sit through a sales pitch. I just selected the plan we needed—no hassle. What do you dislike about Castr?

When we've had to reach out to customer service it's been a bit of a long process. Our issues have always gotten solved but sometimes it just felt like we were waiting a while to hear back. We haven't needed to reach out in a feew years, though, so this could be different now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great service for a great price!"
5/5
What do you like best about Castr?

Castr was the least expensive solution that we could find, and it works great. No issues with lags, or performance issues at all. We have used the service for several years with no reason to look elsewhere as it just "works." They constantly seem to improve it and add features as well - like direct streaming to our website as well as to facebook and youtube. Their support has always responded very wuickly and answered any questions we had. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Castr?

The first-time setup took some time at first, but not unreasonable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable and easy-to-use streaming platform"
5/5
What do you like best about Castr?

Castr makes multi-streaming incredibly simple, allowing me to broadcast to multiple platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch all at once. The interface is user-friendly and the streaming quality is consistently high. I also love the scheduling feature, which makes it easy to plan ahead and automate streams. It saves a lot of time and effort, especially for content creators who want to maximize their reach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Castr?

One downside is that the pricing can be a bit steep for smaller creators or those just starting out. It would be great to see more flexible or budget-friendly plans. Additionally, while the analytics are useful, they could be more detailed or offer better real-time insights. Occasionally, there’s a slight delay in platform syncing, but it’s usually resolved quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Castr – A rock-solid streaming partner for professional live productions"
5/5
What do you like best about Castr?

At GiantProd, we produce high-end corporate livestreams for clients who demand flawless execution. After testing—and sometimes struggling with—many other platforms, Castr has clearly become our go-to streaming solution.

Castr delivers on every critical point:

Reliable performance

Castr ensures smooth, uninterrupted streaming, even in high-pressure environments. The Failover Ingest feature adds an extra layer of security for mission-critical events.

Ultra-low latency when needed

With on-demand Ultra Low Latency mode, we can manage remote speakers and interactive formats in near real-time. It’s ideal for webinars and hybrid events with live Q&A.

Precise control over quality

The custom transcoder lets us tailor video and audio bitrates to meet our production standards. Paired with eCDN and P2P CDN options, it handles both internal and large-scale audience streams seamlessly.

Responsive, knowledgeable support

The Castr team is sharp, helpful, and always available when we need technical or strategic input.

Clear, competitive pricing

Their Ultra plan at €3000/year with 60 TB of bandwidth is incredibly well-positioned for the level of service it provides. It’s a sound investment for our most demanding productions.

In short, Castr is a reliable, high-performance platform that fully supports our ambitions in corporate livestreaming. We’re confident in every broadcast we run with them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Castr?

From the initial contact made with the sales team, the support and advice has been excellent also bringing features to my attention that I didn't know about but have been really useful and also very easy to use and integrate in to my existing setup.

The software gives me excellent insight in to my streaming and gives me confidence in providing my services to my customers.

It's an perfect next step for those looking to level up thier streaming solutions who maybe using more basic offerings from thier competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Castr?

"Easy, Reliable, and Affordable Multi-streaming"
4/5
What do you like best about Castr?

Castr supports streaming to most social platforms with good documentation for setting up the various endpoints. I can't remember a time where any service disruption that we experienced was on them. The platform is well considered and there documentation is completed enough that I have never had to test their customer support. We use Castr every Sunday to live stream our church services to Youtube and Facebook. I have tested Instagram and twitter as well. We also have a video player embedded on our website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Castr?

My only complaint is that their API is paywalled to their more expensive plans preventing my from completely automating our live streaming process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
