In a matter of a few minutes I can reset all settings, and create a different stream key if needed, so that my weekly work within Castr is minimal. Since we only stream once a week, typically, I wanted a simple solution to stream to Facebook and Youtube every week with minimal effort; Castr has delivered on that solution. **What do you dislike about Castr?** The wide array of pricing packages makes it difficult to discern what is best or necessary to purchase on a monthly subscription based on our needs. I would like to see a simple website embed option available for the tier we pay for, since it doesn't seem like something that would tax Castr's capacity in any way and would add another variable of usefulness to my needs. However, we have a workaround to embed the YouTube playlist on our website, so this isn't truly a major issue. **What problems is Castr solving and how is that benefiting you?** We need to be able to very easily get our streams on the devices of anyone trying to find it, and we need to set it up every week without spending large amounts of time. It helps that we can edit our titles and info right there on the same page as going LIVE page. **What do you dislike about Castr?** Sadly I feel like we are not using it besides our normal going live to FB and YT to know things we are not enjoying. The best thing is that it is easy for volunteers to use. We just set our stream keys in place and kids as young as FOURTH GRADE are capable of sending the stream out into the world. The ease and clarity of user-interface at the affordable price point are perfect. Also, we've NEVER had a streaming glitch that came from Castr. It has been 100% reliable since our first use. **What do you dislike about Castr?** The way that Facebook and YouTube process titles is different, so we had to do a little extra back-end work to get everything to have the right appearance (titles, cards, etc.). With no previous expertise in streaming events, we have been able to use Castr to turn in-person events to hybrid ones and take Zoom-based gatherings and share them on YouTube. **What do you dislike about Castr?** One downside of Castr is the monthly billing set up. We don't need the tool very often it is often sitting unused but we're still paying for it so it is ready for when we do. Because in my workflow, things have to be easily repeatable and quickly completed, Castr really fits the bill. Simple to use, easy setup, and basically hassle free! **What do you dislike about Castr?** One of the few dislikes about Castr is the way some streaming services are linked. This, I think, is the only weak point. The process to get your streaming service initially connected can be cumbersome. **What problems is Castr solving and how is that benefiting you?** For my application, I have to stream to two separate platforms simultaneously, and Castr does that perfectly. Once the streaming platforms are set up, they are good to go. The UI is easy to use and understand. We can stream to multiple platforms with ease. We used other multi-streaming platforms and they didn't even compare. Castr also seamlessly integrates with our ATEM Pro Mini for our streaming needs. **What do you dislike about Castr?** The only downside is the cost for non-profits. Not every small business can afford an annual budget to stream. Also, if there could be a setting for Castr to go LIVE when we push our feed to go live from the ATEM, that would be awesome and require less envolvement for our production team. **What problems is Castr solving and how is that benefiting you?** Whether we are going LIVE or broadcasting a pre-recorded video, Castr is able to handle our needs. Also, we enjoy the set it and forget it aspect of streaming. Save for re-authentication occasionally, once we had everything connected, we could just go live whenever we wanted. **What do you dislike about Castr?** We haven't had any issues that were a direct result of Castr. Our problems have been with Facebook specifically requiring us to re-authenticate randomly. I think one thing Castr could do is somehow notify us whenever a platform disconnects so we can address the problem before the next stream. **What problems is Castr solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted to stream to multiple platforms but we didn't have enough bandwidth or hardware to have multiple uplinks simultaneously. The part I really like is that I can start and stop a stream by flipping a switch in the dashboard. It also works great with my Blackmagic Design web presenter and atem mini pro. **What do you dislike about Castr?** The Castr.io services didn't work for Live Streaming Pay preview events. If you get a bigger audience then expected audience don't have a system to automatically bill you and give you more bandwidth. That was all fixed with their other service liveapi.com.
