Other times it will say it's live-streaming, but it actually not. I have found we have to verify the stream is fully working on each platform. I am assuming this is an underlying bug that has been persistent in the code for some time. We have wrestled with it for years now. The team were helpful in understand our exact use case. **What do you dislike about Castr?** We use the starter plan as we are on a limited budget. Some of the feature restrictions such as losing the ability to save a Livestream after 3 days can be limiting, especially if a volunteer forgets to follow the process within the timeframe. My stream is dependent on having daylight, and it would be nice to know that my quota is not being used up by useless data transmitted during night time hours. They recently added an "email list" for their paywall, so you can add emails and generate passwords for those that you want to give a "bypass" option to so they don't have to pay for your livestream. The passwords are automatically generated, long and complicated and can't be edited. We opted for the plan giving us 24 TB of traffinc without the limitations of a monthly cap. This is important because our business is seasonal with high traffic months in spring and fall. Before switching we looked deep into the functions offered, tested extensively and chatted with the customer service with questions. We evend had a one-on-one video-call with the Castr team, a service a have not seen anyehwere in the entire industry. Implementing a new live stream was easy. As is tghe dayly use. **What do you dislike about Castr?** I opted for a professinal plan which unfortunately missses some basic features I frequently use, such as replacing a video after modification while keeping the URL. The socalled dynamic player is nice for a repetitive stream, but cannot compensate for this missing feature. Also the adaptive bitrate function can only be applied to one project at a time, which is not practical. I can work around this limitation by deactivating in project A and activating in project B, since we do not have consurrent streams yet. However this is somehow a hassle. Hope to see this in my plan in the future. **What problems is Castr solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used Vimoe fro almost four years. In that time our company grew and we finally reached the monthly threshold of 2 TB traffic even though or yearly usage has always been below 24 TB. This trigges a mandatory upgrade to an enterprise plan which costs well over 4000 USD per year. Castr does not set monthly limits. Thus the comparable plan (also 24 TB) better suits our needs. Also Castr offers h265/HEVC streaming via SRT.
