Instead of dealing with hosting, coding, plugins, or complicated site builders, I can create and publish a clean-looking site very quickly. My website was so easy to build, looks beautiful and simple, just like how I wanted it, with a really good loading time. I knew I needed a website, but I was afraid it was going to be expensive. After doing some research I found Carrd and was shocked at how affordable it was. It made my startup costs extremely low for my coaching business, which made it much easier to take the risk of investing a few hundred dollars into my business before making any money from it. I ended up making a few thousand dollars of extra income during 2020 because of my side business pursuit. I'm not sure I would have taken the chance on doing this if I hadn't found such a cheap option for a website, but some of my clients told me that they found me simply off of my website and that they loved being able to learn about me before reaching out over phone or email. It was also incredibly easy to integrate my email-contact form and reliably worked so I knew I wouldn't miss any clients. **What do you dislike about Carrd?** Because it's so affordable, it's not like you have unlimited options in terms of how you can customize your website or the various templates you can choose from. That being said, I'm not a website designer so having access to those templates was a massive help because the finished product I have looks far better than anything I could've done myself working form a blank slate. I guess I'm not really even sure what I would have done differently if I'd have had access to more options for customizing. I don't use e-commerce or anything like that, so my needs were pretty simple. **Recommendations to others considering Carrd:** My biggest recommendatin is if making a website is something you have been considering, go for it. The cost is incredibly affordable, you are probably more than capable of doing it yourself, and you never know what could happen if you take the leap. I also found their customer service to be incredibly helpful resolving a few issues I had after my website went live and they resolved them very quickly. **What problems is Carrd solving and how is that benefiting you?** Like I said, I had an idea to start a life-coaching business, but didn't want to spend a ton of money setting it up because I wasn't sure how it would go. Carrd made that decision incredibly easy because my cost basis stayed so low, which took away so much stress of if/when I would get my first client and start to bring in money. I've learned that it's not nearly as hard as I thought to build a functional, good looking website and it costs WAY less than I thought it would have. I still use Carrd for my website and I have no plans on switching to anything else. ### 15. As I write this it's $19/year. Dirt cheap compared to most web builders like Wix, Weebly, Abstract, Wordpress, all that. The closest I could find was Persona (by Cargo) at $26/year. And it does have an improved WYSIWYG editor. Regardless, Carrd's got everyone beat for pricing. **What do you dislike about Carrd?** Carrd has major limitations in elements and styling. If you want to create a blog or even a simple article, it's not going to be easy. The styles will be out-of-the-box, and for someone like me, that's going to be a deal-breaker for most applications. I would not recommend this product to designers or folks selling complex products. I know a very tiny bit about coding, so I'm able to make changes if absolutely necessary, but it's not a requirement to know how to do those things for your website to look good. The free tier has so many features and is perfect for a link aggregation page, a basic portfolio, a one-off website for a promotion, etc. I also like that you can specify the size of elements with exact numbers and not be limited to the slider bar to change it. **What do you dislike about Carrd?** I wish the font list showed a preview of the font in the drop-down menu because there is no way to tell what the font looks like unless you change the text every time. We tried linktr.ee, but we weren't able to add icons or a longer description without upgrading. Then I looked at the pricing. $19/year for 10 sites which includes the option of adding a custom domain. Compared to the yearly cost of About.me, it's a great deal. Pay a little more and you can accept payments and get 25 sites.. Still cheaper than About.me Use the extra sites for all your niches. The page builder loads very fast as do the sites themselves. I like that a lot. **What do you dislike about Carrd?** Only one page is allowed per card-site. Depending on your needs, I guess, this is either a bug or a feature. **Recommendations to others considering Carrd:** Compare to About.me and see if Carrd is not a better deal and slicker implementation of the business-card-site concept. **What problems is Carrd solving and how is that benefiting you?** I like the idea of having a simple, fast-loading, easy to implement and updated business card site. Registration is very fast and simple and allows you to publish immediately after registration. Additionally you have a variety of customization templates available for each element and plans with very attractive domain for only $19 / year. **What do you dislike about Carrd?** The only negative aspect is that it does not provide the option to export the site created to obtain the html and the support files so that one can host it in his own domain. On the other hand Carrd in its free use version, is limited to 3 sites, 100 elements, images and standard videos and a subdomain carrd.co. Upgrading to at least the Pro Standard plan offers you up to 10 sites, images and videos of great quality and big size, unlimited elements, simple forms and widgets. If you want advanced forms, redirects and more websites, you will need to use Pro Plus or Pro Max. **Recommendations to others considering Carrd:** Carrd's website is totally sensitive and fits screens of any size, just like the websites your builder creates. It promises an inexpensive and easy-to-use platform with which you can create solid landing pages for your business. Most of Carrd's themes are available in their free version, but some selected themes are only available when you upgrade to your Pro plan. However, the free themes are almost the same as the Pro themes in their customization and functionality, so there is no urgent need to upgrade to the Pro plan just for a better selection of themes. There are four types of themes available: Identity, Landing, Wallet and Multiple Sections. Selecting any of these themes gives you a solid start design to work with the rare benefit of being able to remove, relocate, or edit any of the design features you want. **What problems is Carrd solving and how is that benefiting you?** Carrd is now my access tool for anything related to web building. I made a website for a friend and even won a few dollars. Additionally in depodcast.com the place where I work for being an online store we only opened an institutional mail, me to provide greater reliability when making deliveries or send mail, and even in my business card I have a footer inviting them to visit my web site. ### 31. It takes about 5 minutes to build a website thanks to the templates that are provided and about 15-20 minutes if you want to connect it to your own domain (which is also comparatively easier than other platforms). **What do you dislike about Carrd?** Sometimes while adding a new element it will automatically go to the bottom of the page which then forces you to drag it to the top each time. It doesn't really change the experience but it is definitely an annoyance that adds up over time. **What problems is Carrd solving and how is that benefiting you?** Due to the ease of use, anyone can log into Carrd and make adjustments on the fly.
