**What do you like best about CareStack?**

I have been in the dental field for 20 years, and using Carestack has been one of the best dental software's I have used. You have everything in one place from an amazing referral portal to submitting an auth and all the reports you can run in one software is amazing. My favorite is the task manager tab it is so helpful for my day to day lists and eliminates 100 sticky notes! Customer Support is also amazing!

Nothing! I am learning something new everyday!

Having a referral portal to referring offices!

The support my team and I received to train, implemint, and use the PMS effectively was excellent. Anytime we needed help after going live help was a text or video call away.

The PMS has been ok. It would be nice if it were a little more intuitive and easy to use.

It is a full solution that is integrated making everyhting seamless. It has a lot of useful tools for managment. Implemntation was easy with a lot of support.

It has a lot of features which can be overwhelming in the beginnning.

It gives a lot of useful insights to making decisons in the practice and where to focus efforts on. It also prevents embezzlemnt by keeping a very detailed trail of all  actions.

In the year that we have had carestack we have been very pleased.  So many bills and wistles.  Very user friendly.  Customer support is awesome!!

No downsides but since it does have many features its hard to remember how you did some things.  There Carestack academy is very helpful when it comes to this

Pamela and Sankar made the transition from Dentrix to CareStack really easy.

**What do you dislike about CareStack?**

Because it is very different from Dentrix, some things can be difficult to correct/find. But there is a lot of support available at all times.

**What problems is CareStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CareStack is saving us money each month and makes day to day needs more streamlined. Patient contact is also more accessible.

Integrates very well front desk, clinical, management, patient communication, and even marketing. Very well designed interface.

**What do you dislike about CareStack?**

nothing their dev team isn't already working to improve and/or integrate - i.e., their communication hub currently works only with gmail and we use outlook

Front to back operational integration; management operations and dashboards; secure & compliant cloud access.

**What do you like best about CareStack?**

the most helpful thing about carestack is the patient's chart. there are several options, conditions, treatment codes etc that we can enter and make the patient's chart as detailed as possible. I also really like how i can right click on a patients appointment and i can pull up eligibility, documents, memos, and ledger without opening another tab. Also not to mention the excellent customer support and educational videos on how to naviagte the software is impecable.

**What do you dislike about CareStack?**

The least helpful in my opinion would be the lack of specification on tooth numbers for the alternate benefit tab in insurance. For example, some policies only apply an alternate benefit on "Molars Only" not pre molars.

**What problems is CareStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I would say Carestack helps us out with the unscheduled patient's list, overdue recall appts and broken appts list. The operations report option helps us out to create a list of which of our patients have an over due recall appt, unscheduled tx or broken appts. This is very important to us when we have some down time we can do a report and call patients to scheudle their missed appts, unscheduled treatments etc.

The different report options definitely set CareStack apart from it's competitors.

**What do you dislike about CareStack?**

The only negative issue I have experienced while using CareStack is the inability to Print from the TimeClock screen.

The reports have been very helpful in seeing our numbers across the board and identifying where improvement within our practices can take place.

The training was by far the most helpful. The ease of use with the software has been great as well as the updated and included/add on services. Implementation went as smooth as it possibly could!

**What do you dislike about CareStack?**

Some applications are not fully ipad optimized yet. Also, not being able to view the emails sent to patients.

**What problems is CareStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Really organizing treatment plans and having them easily sent to the patient. Having the patient portal is an amazing feature, as patients can get onto their portal and answer a lot of questions that they typically would have called in to ask.

how verstile, well integrated it is with all other programs I need to be efficient, timely, and productive. Also the team at care stack and customer support is unparalled. It is very easy to use and I use it everyday. It has many features that cover all aspect of my practice, communication and billing included.

initially there were few pictures attached to the treatment plans. They were confusing and were removed upon request

It's hosted on Microsoft Azure Cloud. 
When Microsoft was hacked, we were down for a day as well.

The cloud based storage and ability to access your dental software from anywhere is a huge advantage and time saver.

**What do you dislike about CareStack?**

With all the available features, sometimes Care Stack can be complicated doing tghe simplest task.

**What problems is CareStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Carestack is solving the 'in-house' storage issue and the ability to access the program from any computer. No more need to inhouse servers to store all data and xrays. Since this is a web based program I am able to access any information and data I need from anywhere and on any computer.

Most helpful was the costumer serivce. The product itself hasn't been any more helpful than our last software, yet.

**What do you dislike about CareStack?**

Very hard to transition to. Multiple steps to do one thing. Not user friendly. It has been 6 months and we are all still wishing we had Eaglesoft.

They are trying to make it as close to Eaglesoft as possible for us. It helps because it is much more user friendly.

**What do you like best about CareStack?**

The implementation and onboarding process was straightforward and fostered a smooth transition—great customer service from every point of contact. It is easy to learn and use and is a very robust system with so many features. Integration was nearly seamless. We did a few test conversions to make sure all the data came over correctly, and we are overall very happy with this change.

**What do you dislike about CareStack?**

Sometimes it can be a little glitchy. Not too bad.

Great reporting, we like the lab module a lot for tracking lab cases; we did not have that function before. The pre-D list is very helpful, as well as ease of scheduling/rescheduling appointments.

I like that we can just type all the info in super quick and its very easy to use. The customer support team is always there to help when it is needed because technology is not always great but that is with everything. I use it every single day fot work and I enjoy my days because of it. It is also very easy to learn the ways around it and how things work. I love that you can send texts and emails through carestack as well.

**What do you dislike about CareStack?**

I wish we could send new PPW copies when a mistake is made by a patient.

They continue to make things easier and easier every time I log in. I love how they add more things with how making it more difficult. I currently like everything about carestack and I love scheduling people because of it.

Web based services to be able to work remotely if need be.

**What do you dislike about CareStack?**

I don't like the reporting systems, there's nothing in Carestack university to help us with streamlining SOP's. Certain reports have math that doesn't match patient accounts and makes sending statements confusing. Certain things on the dashboard also do not match what's really in the system, sometimes skewing numbers. I don't like that if a new employee comes on board there is a fee for certain trainings. I don't think Customer Care is always the most supportive in knowledge. Sometimes the system will freeze when adding in new insurances.

**What problems is CareStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't really see them solving many issues. Recently changed the ledgers and by doing so took away some key things that were helpful and useful. When clicking on a payment or a claim it used to highlight line items to match, no longer does that. I also see a lot of posts on a facebook group of people having the same issues but nothing seems to get escalated to be more user friendly and easier to use.

User friendly once you get to know your way around carestack. Customer Support is always handy but sometimes doesnt help. It has a numbre of features to make the day easier .

**What do you dislike about CareStack?**

I dislike that you cannot do certain things without having to thoroughly looking up how to do them. I do use care stack frequently and I wish it was less buttons to press to do one thing.

Carestack is solving the ease of using the scheduler and claims are pretty simple to use.

Very easy to learn and use. There are a lot of up to date effiencies within all aspects of the program. It was easy to convert over. The quick support response has helped us get through issues very quick.

**What do you dislike about CareStack?**

Not that huge of a deal, however, there are settings that are universal if you have multiple practice locations or are a DSO. Some of the settings should be very specific to the single dental practice and not affect the other practice locations.

CareStack has helped bring efficiencies to my staff members so they can focus more on patient care.

Carestack is a dental software that can do pretty much everything from top to bottom. They also integrate with other third parties if you want to. Overall there support has been marvelous. There is a learning curve but just like the learning curve for any profession; the more you put into it the more you get out of it.

The learning curve in the beginning can be a little overwhelming.

They already helping us with AR, reports, collection tips and claims.

Being able to access all patients for every location; patient portal and digital forms; being able to text and email patients from their chart; the different campaigns we can run and create;

**What do you dislike about CareStack?**

Sometimes too much clicking to do one thing (treatment planning and charting); I don't like how they track treatment acceptance (having to manually update the treatment status' -- this should be automatically done and calculated); making an appointment card accurately is time consuming (picking production type, picking providers and assigning time, making sure the treatment codes are assigned to the correct provider and they match the appointment card provider, etc.)

I appreciate the care that goes into training and that tech support is quick and efficient.  I also love that I have eliminated paying for multiple different platforms for digital forms and patient commication.

It not specific to an Endodontic office and the referral reports/letters needs improving.

It has a great analytics and reporting features with a dashboard that keeps me on track with monitoring important KPIs.

Carestack has a system that tells you who doesn't have an upcoming appointment scheduled. It is helpful when doing recall and scheduling people for fillings that have pending treatment in their treatment plans.

When using the "no upcoming appointment scheduled" feature on carestack the downfall is sometimes the patient will have an appointment scheduled but the codes are not linked/planned with the appointment. Therefore, it will still show up on the list as if they don't have an appointment.

Carestack helps our practice run smoothly. It helps us schedule people with ease. It also helps us when reminding patients for their upcoming appointments.

**What do you like best about CareStack?**

- Cloud based so no need for server maintenance and hiring IT to fix issue. Internet is down? Just hot spot your phone to your laptop.
- Once per day electronic insurance verification per patient insurance plan.
- Text to Pay patients. CS sends a link to their phone to make payments online.
- Auto appointment reminders via Text, Email, and Robocalls.
- Payment reminders
- Online scheduling
- Patient portals
- Integrates with Mango VOIP for pop-ups
- Support has been helpful and follows up on tickets. Using support live chat, remote access, and Chrome browser extensions to send tickets makes it simple to report problems.
- Other department add-ons: Carerevenue (similar to eassist) to take over admin work such as inputing payment checks, verifying insurance, updating fee schedules, sending claims, following up claims, etc.
CS memberships if you want to manage your in-house discount plans.

Things I haven't used yet:
Virtual Assistant to answer calls, schedule appointments, capture reviews, etc
CareCoaching goes over office metrics
CS Conversions AI phone call analytics.

**What do you dislike about CareStack?**

1) No MMS messaging. You can send text messages but you can't send or receive photos or videos. Patients would need to use email for things like: a copy of their insurance card or driver's license. Another issue with text messaging is...

2) No mobile chat. You can only access the Iris text messaging using a computer. With that being said...

3) No mobile support. For a cloud based system, you can't really view Carestack unless it's on the computer or a laptop. You can't scroll through the schedule, view the ledger, or text message patients because Carestack dashboard is not formatted for mobile users. Everything is all squished together and overlaps.

4) The Carestack Kiosk, their system for electronic consents, is buggy. We use this on iPads because It's browser based. Signing consents is fine because patients sign them quickly. But for filling out new patient paperwork, it's hit or miss because the iPad timeout or the forms don't save correctly. One way to bypass this is to have the forms saved on the patient's portal and have them complete it at home before coming to the office.

The funny thing is this can all be fixed if Carestack would release a Mobile App. CS seems stubborn about making one though. I use Modento before and it was so easy to complete consent forms and patient paperwork. Modento also has text message alerts pushed through the app. Carestack only works if you have the browser running.

Bonus dislike: Add-ons. You would need to subscribe for an imaging software viewer that is built to view clinical images on Carestack remotely because it has to bridge your desktop imaging software (ie. Dexis) to CS. Or you can do the old fashion way and remote into your server to view x-rays/panos. Another subscription add-on is sending electronic prescriptions via Dosespot. If only you can do it for free on iprescribe.

It's cloud based so no more dealing with server upkeep, less computer issues, can access easily from home. Possibility to make a centralized office for administrative work if you have multiple practices.

Carestack was seamless to convert to and integrate into our office. The important elements for daily functions are intuitive and easy to learn.  Carestack continues to push R and D and thus continues to improve regularly.  Carestack will only get better from here!

The biggest struggles have come from insurance and billing with added clicks and decreased efficiencies.  This slows down treatment planning and possibly the accuracy of quotes.
