"Good features, but poor results"

What do you like best?

I like that it has a lot of features that help to source potential candidates. I also like the ability to set up alerts for new resumes/profiles that may match what I'm looking for.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes it seems a bit clunky to use, and it doesn't seem to return the results I'm wanting. It's not necessarily the fault of CareerBuilder, but it seems the lowest-quality candidates flock to it and there isn't any sort of screening done on their part to ensure candidates are even real people.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Be aware that this will not be the only product you will need. It's good as a tool in your arsenal, but not the only one.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I was a recruiter, so I definitely used it in my day-to-day recruitment activities to source and screen applicants, as well as post open positions. It worked, but would not have been a good standalone. It needed to be used in conjunction with other platforms.

"Careerbuilder Recruitment Edge is helpful"

What do you like best?

I think that it helps that candidates apply to multiple jobs at once. It allows recruiters to see that a candidate is interested in a specific field, but also helps the candidate to apply to a broad range of jobs all at once. There is a strong advantage to being able to find candidates specifically by having them put their best foot forward with one resume.

What do you dislike?

While it is helpful that many jobs can be reached quickly, the subscription services that candidates are auto-enrolled into can be off-putting and make them stray away from the service in the future. The screening services are not the best, as the application process is almost too simple for candidates. It may be more helpful on the recruiting side to make it more intensive.

Many of our emails have ended up in spam folders because candidates begin to get too many emails from the site, and cannot decipher which is a serious inquiry.

"Best designed platform for sorting the profiles based on requirement "

What do you like best?

It is easy to sort based the technology and the skills. Especially then comes to skills, the option to sort the profiles based the skill based experience is very helpful .

What do you dislike?

when it come to the inward emails that comes from the career builder, it misses the relevance.

recruiting the right candidate for the right position. With this web side we save lots of time to search a rightful candidate.

"A great way to find candidates"

What do you like best?

The ability to identify whether or not this candidate has expressed interest in your company previously

What do you dislike?

Sometimes it can be slow or glitchy, or multiple windows open up

It is great if you need access to a lot of candidates and you are already a big company

Finding qualified candidates in hard to recruit markets; I am able to recruit a lot easier for markets that I'm not physically in.

"CareerBuilder Review"

What do you like best?

It has everything you're looking for. It compiles all the information you need about a candidate. Super easy program to use and navigate, easy to post job updates/postings, and also easy to save searches when you want to come back to them.

What do you dislike?

It can be a little pricey, but if you don't pay the full monthly premium you have limited access to features. Also, it would be helpful to have some more filters when searching for specific work authorizations.

We find the most information possible about people during the screening process. It takes seconds to find out all you need to know.

"Awesome Career Builder Feature"

What do you like best?

I love the supply and demand feature and the ability to see compensation features all in one place.

What do you dislike?

Honestly this Recruitment Edge feature is a big step into the 21st century for Career Builder.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Supply and demand provides me with more insight for areas that I am sourcing and allows me to target specific geographical locations.

"Part of RFP but lacked detail"

What do you like best?

Fairly easy to use for a novice human resources dept.

What do you dislike?

It was lacking in some of the depth that other systems provided

Again, it is a fairly easy setup and configuration to get thing started and rolling, especially if you do not have a lot of other internal software(s) that you need to tie in.

We moved away from bringing CareerBuilder Recruitment Edge on fully as we were unable to take advantage of many of our internal systems to crossover as well such as SharePoint, Nintex, and Munis.

"Some kinks to work out, but overall a great tool"

What do you like best?

I like that it connects with social media profiles to expand the potential pool of candidates

What do you dislike?

The site glitches fairly often, making it quite frustrating to use.

"CB Recruitment edge - great tool"

What do you like best?

The geographical and compensation data features are wonderful to access to provide that next tier of data to Hiring Managers. The supply & demand report is also extremely beneficial.

What do you dislike?

There are some limitations with supply & demand report. Some of the job categorical data isn't specific enough - too general at times, pending category.

great search engine for obtaining access to resume database of passive candidates that otherwise would be missed. able to provide and compare comprehensive candidate/job category/compensation data.

"Useful, somwhat clunky"

What do you like best?

I like the variety and magnitude of resumes

What do you dislike?

often resumes are out of date, whether or not they are "updated"

Be prepared to do a lot of copy and pasting at first, the templates are not very helpful without being very direct

I was able to find more candidates to contact but they seem more reluctant to get in touch with me tnan other platforms

"Best one I've used"

What do you like best?

Easy to use, allows for very specific candidate qualities, sent us a large amount of potential employees.

The program can be too specific, not a lot of room to be general if you want to be,

"Simple and convenient"

What do you like best?

Very easy to see new opportunities and you're allowed instant application.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes the jobs displayed we're already filled but the website shows then as open and o my after you reach half way through the process, you find out it's closed
