CarbonCloud is the platform for product carbon footprints, supplier collaboration and provable reductions, farm to shelf. For a food producer, scope 3 is typically 80 to 95 percent of the climate footprint, and for a retailer or wholesaler 90 to 97 percent. Either way it sits in the products the company buys and sells. The question has moved from how big the footprint is to what was reduced, and whether it can be proven. Spend data, generic emission factors and one-off studies can produce a report, but they cannot show a reduction: when a supplier improves, the average stands still. CarbonCloud is built on one integrated biophysical model of the global food system. Every product gets a science-based footprint from day one, calculated from CarbonCloud's own data foundation of around 20,000 crop and animal products at the farm gate across 192 countries. Suppliers do not submit claims to be vetted. They enter their own activity data into the same model, step by step, tier by tier, upstream to the farm, and invite their own suppliers in turn. Raw supplier data stays private: results travel, never the recipe. Because benchmark and supplier-specific figures are calculated in one model on the same background data, every footprint is comparable and every change is attributable. The Primary Data Share on every footprint shows how much of the figure rests on suppliers' own activity data. The Data Quality Index, launching, grades how good that data is. The Change Log separates a real reduction from better data and from a method update, so history stays comparable when the rules move. The platform is built to the GHG Protocol, including the Land Sector and Removals Standard, to ISO 14067 and to SBTi FLAG. Carbon Trust model assurance is in progress. CarbonCloud AB is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, and serves retailers, wholesalers, food and beverage brands, producers and ingredient suppliers across Europe.
