"Smart solution to early-stage startups"
5/5
What do you like best about Carbon?

They’re addressing a solution that many startup founders would need help facing, and I think their product can be applied far beyond just with AI companies, since I would suspect that other industries would face similar issues regarding data connection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carbon?

Adding on to the previous response, many founders without a strong technical background will need some guidance when using the portal. Maybe having a guide document or some sort of temporary engineer to guide a customer through how to use the software would be a good idea. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Mutually beneficial Pricing Structure"
5/5
What do you like best about Carbon?

Their pricing structure works well incredibly well for us because we have a lot of customers, but each of them might not use our AI chatbot to the fullest extent. Carbon calculates cost based on the amount of characters processed, which means that we only pay more if our customers use our products more, which is a win-win situation since our LLM is more accurate, helpful and reliable the more that they do use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carbon?

Sometimes there are delays with the processing times when we use Carbon, which interferes with our operations. Maybe if they did something to balance out those periods of high-demand, that might help reduce lag for everyone? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Leader in Data Connector Software"
5/5
What do you like best about Carbon?

In terms of quality, they’re a leader in this space. Every time we’ve used it, it’s been fast and accurate, and only slight delays during midday hours and some mornings. Our customers are happy with it, and so are we. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carbon?

In the future, I would want their platform be easier to use for someone who has never had the background before. Even though it is more streamlined, a new hire might have difficulty fully utilizing the portal or understanding its functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unlocking the Power of Unstructured Data with Carbon: A Game-Changer for Legislaide"
5/5
What do you like best about Carbon?

As a company that drafts legislative works for our clients, we rely on a lot of external data to train our LLM modelso that our clients can draft legislative works with minimal effort. Since many of these individuals do not have an expansive technical understanding, the best part for us was how organized and simple the whole system was in its connection of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carbon?

Legislaide is a more specialized company. As a result, some of the software that we use are not conventional, which means that Carbon may not have connectors to them. In our case all of ours do, and we see that they are rolling out new connectors every week, but it may be tricky for a more specialized company to use their features. "Enabling Data Integration for Retrieval Augment Generation"
5/5
What do you like best about Carbon?

Probably their universal retrieval engine. At Rabbu, we need to include unstructured data from many different sources/programs, and the ability to accomplish that through Carbon has allowed us to improve our operational efficiency. Carbon also has SOC 2 Type II compliance, which is also something that we value since our customer confidence depends on our reputation and we try to ensure that all products we use are well-protected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carbon?

The only issue about using Carbon is that a product manager alone cannot do the entire setup and integration process on their own without the help of engineers. There is a bit of a learning curve before one of our employees can properly utilize all the features to their full potential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Data Backbone for Polymer"
5/5
What do you like best about Carbon?

Since we deal mainly with turning complex data into actionable insights that are appealing and useful, we need a connector that could be compatible with many different data sources. Not only does Carbon already have countless programs that they can source data from, they introduce new ones every single week. This makes our job so much easier since we are able to allocate the job of connecting external data to them and we can focus on our algorithms of turning data into a visually appealing chart using AI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carbon?

Some things that we have noticed is that their OCR solution is a bit slow, and implementing Carbon doesn't remove the need for developers. This can sometimes cause delays in our operations but it's occasional and we trust can be improved over time. Another recommendation is for them to have some sort of regularly updated document or search tool that shows all of the different programs that they are compatible with. With all of their updates, it can be a bit hard to track, and I would suspect that for a specialized AI company they might want that clarity in whether their own specialized apps will work with Carbon. "Smooth chatbot implementation"
5/5
What do you like best about Carbon?

When we were first building our own web scraping solution for our chatbot, it was a major distraction and just the thought of having to build integrations Google Drive, Notion, AND OneDrive wasn't very fun. But when we found out about Carbon, we were able to scrape a large number of those Javascript-heavy pages impressively fast with minimal latency. But perhaps what we like best is how swiftly they address issues and how open they are to feedback. They seem to be introducing new additions every day and are quick to respond to our feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carbon?

One thing we would suggest is that for some complex websites that have challenging content, we would need additional customization from Carbon in order to scrape that data too. If there was some sort of documentation to better understand the full range of Carbon's capabilities, it would save us a bit of time instead of bothering their support team. "Massive Data Timesaver!!"
5/5
What do you like best about Carbon?

Carbon has been incredibly useful for helping us access and use unstructured data. Carbon integrated seamlessly into our systems and substantially improved our workflows from the moment we started partnering with them. The platform scales according to demand and makes it super easy to handle content across data sources. It was most surprising how good they were at helping us build our RAG applications and make it useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carbon?

While Carbon has many great features, the pricing for such features was a bit unclear before speaking with the sales team. Additionally, the ability to completely tailor data connector configurations would be useful. We sometimes need super particular settings for specific data sources, so having more optionality here would make Carbon even more useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Future-ready"
5/5
What do you like best about Carbon?

They’re future-ready and adaptive. They have a mindset of benefitting with the businesses that they support, and have been able to help us increase our customer base and revenue since our engineers could focus on developing a better LLM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carbon?

I wish they could base their pricing purely on the number of characters used without a fixed minimum, since it is common for us to have some weeks where we have had less engagement and some with more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure + compliant"
5/5
What do you like best about Carbon?

Their security: Already having SOC Type II compliance, GDPR, for an early-stage company is crazy. We get the same if not better security treatment than some of the big firms out there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carbon?

If they had some sort of system or guide where they showed you how to use all of the features, it would be a nice bonus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
