The best thing I like about Capture Thought AI is that it does something I have never seen from any other technology platform, namely assesses videos from students explaining math problems. I wish Capture Thought AI would connect with the LMS that my institution uses. Maybe that will happen eventually, but it would make grading and issuing scores completely seamless. The most helpful part is that the feedback is auto generated and research-based. This helps me get kids feedback much faster and allows them to revisit their thinking. The stand really helps keep the videos focused on the student work, but it is something extra that students have to buy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Capture Thought AI is solving the problem of true depth of knowledge by allowing students to actually speak through an assessment rather than stressing out and taking a test or a quiz where they can only show written work. Capture Thought is used in my daughter's 8th grade math class. As a parent who has forgotten most of the math my kid is doing, I really appreciate the feedback she gets from this system. It's not just "did she get the right answer", but how she got there and what she said to justify her response. The stand she brought home makes it super easy for her to make her videos. Even though she doesn't have her own cell phone, she just used mine to submit her video assignment by scanning the QR code and uploading it straight from my phone. Pretty cool!!
