"Efficient, fast image processor"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Capture One Pro?

It is wikdly responsive, has a modern layout and UI, and allows for you to edit all raw file types. Also, there's licenses that allow users to get a version just for Fuji, Sony, or Nikon, so if you're wanting to move forward with a purchase on. a great editor, but only have a need to process raw photos from one file type, it's great for that as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Capture One Pro?

It doesn't have al the plug-in availability of other editors and such you may find out there, like lightroom. Also, I'm no uiser of plugins or presets, but for those that use them often, there's certainly more of those kits made for softwares such as Lightroom. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great alternative for Lightroom- specially for Fujifilm users"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Capture One Pro?

Capture one Pro has a good user interface, simplified and to the point. Like Adobe Lightroom, you can create catalogs and import presets too. I found the noise control to be much better when dealing with huge sized photos in RAW format, specially from mirrorless bodies like Fujifilm and Sony. Unlike Lightroom, it doesn't apply noise filter by default and hence helps retain control of how you want the image to look. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Capture One Pro?

There aren't as many plugins and presets available for Capture One Pro as there are for Lightroom. Some versions of Capture one which are free for Fuji users doesn't have an option to work with layers hence limiting from advanced image editing techniques. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Incredibly powerful program for capturing and editing Raw files"
4/5
What do you like best about Capture One Pro?

There is no better company for hot capturing then capture one. They outperform Adobe 10-1 when it comes to shooting straight into the computer. For whatever reason, their capturing abilities are the best. One of the other attributes that Capture one Pro benefits from is their Raw Engine. A lot of photographers really engine their raw engine and think it out performs adobe's. I think it is pretty close to the same as adobe and really only use capture one pro for, well, capturing images to my desktop. This is one of the platforms that you can still buy, you don't need to do a monthly service agreement, which in this day and age is a dying breed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Capture One Pro?

The program is hard to learn and understand if you're new to it. Even after years in the industry and using program after program in the photography industry, the U.I of Capture one is one of the more confusing. If they improved the user experience, I would jump on board and buy their platform right away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

" Capture One Pro a tool for editing and developing RAW"
5/5
What do you like best about Capture One Pro?

I love using Capture One Pro since this version is more improved and contains new tools that allow you to do a faster job, easy access to the catalog of images and many other advantages for the edition of photographs, now it has better sharpness giving a better result final in the photo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Capture One Pro?

There are few disadvantages to this tool, one of which is the cost of owning the software license. The other disadvantage that it has is that to be able to export the photo to Photoshop, the photo must be converted into a tif to be able to process it in Photoshop, there is a lack of compatibility in the two tools. The application of the styles is not so easy to do since it has to be done in several steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Software for Professional Photographers"
5/5
What do you like best about Capture One Pro?

Everything about this product is to be appreciated. It's single-handedly the best software for photographers to capture, tether, color, organize, and just about anything else within a given workflow. The control of working with RAW files in the color editor is especially strong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Capture One Pro?

The pricing - I wish it was slightly less. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Capture One Pro : An Invaluable Software"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Capture One Pro?

I liked Capture One Pro’s organization of photos beneath the last photo, making it easy to review if all images have been shot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Capture One Pro?

I disliked the white balance process of Capture One Pro - every part of the software is relatively intuitive besides calibrating the white balance/LCC, essential for consistent image quality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Not for everyone, but essential for the commercial photographer. "
4.5/5
What do you like best about Capture One Pro?

Raw processing is amazing in this software, and there is no other software in the marketplace that makes tethered shooting as much of an ease. While there's absolutely a steep learning curve, once you learn the ins and outs of this software it's a huge asset. Some of the best perks are the ability to convey more information to offsite teams- such as being able to set up a Capture Pilot session for an offsite art director, or being able to send layered files to a retouching/editing department with annotated notes. I've never used software that handles adjusting colors so well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Capture One Pro?

There's not an ideal solution for when a session or catalog becomes corrupted- I've managed to fix them several times, but it doesn't seem like there's a reliable solution. While this isn't the end of the world for my workflow, it has held up shoots before. In addition, the tethering can be quite fussy in regards to needing specific cords and power boosters, which is especially obnoxious with the new MacBooks, but not the end of the world.

I really wish layering & masking in this software was enhanced as well. As mentioned above, the color abilities in C1 are so superb, but unfortunately masking is so awkward that it's not always an efficient software to make chances in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Product for Photography Studios"
5/5
What do you like best about Capture One Pro?

I really enjoy the quality of this program to organize images as we shoot tethered. I can organize everything as I need. The images come in fast and program is simple to use once you learn it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Capture One Pro?

Sometimes it crashes which is normal for programs but quite annoying when you are trying to edit and or shoot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
