"Best in class revenue operations tool"
5/5
What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?

As sellers, we are focused on numbers and often deal with complex billing cycles and payout structures. The ability to self-audit in just minutes, rather than spending hours or even days—or being unable to do so because of corporate restrictions—demonstrates that capIQ supports a mature sales organization that values involving its sellers in the process.

In my experience, what stood out most was how easy it was to review quarterly payouts. Quota attainment from SFDC was accurately reflected in the statements, and I found it straightforward to discuss and understand these details with my manager. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

At this point, I haven't encountered any downsides. Over the past eight years, this has been my favorite tool for achieving my goals as a rep. It would be fantastic if there were a way to identify the most important metrics for each department, or even more specifically for each individual seller, and have those metrics automatically sent to Slack or Gmail each month. However, this is not a deal breaker by any means. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Captivate IQ is a great bonus platform"
5/5
What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?

Honestly, CaptivateIQ is fantastic because it finally lets you stop stressing about your pay and just focus on closing deals. The biggest win is the real-time commission visibility—you can literally watch your earnings update as soon as a contract is signed, which completely eliminates that annoying "shadow accounting" spreadsheet work. Plus, the "What-If" calculator is a secret weapon; it lets you figure out which deals will hit the next quota tier or give you the biggest payout, helping you prioritize your time strategically. If there's ever a question about a payout, you just log an inquiry right on the platform, making the whole dispute process drama-free and quick. Basically, it builds trust in your paycheck, keeps you motivated with clear quota status, and saves you a ton of time, which means more money in your pocket. What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

If I had to nitpick, there are a couple minor things: occasionally, there can be a slight delay in data syncing, meaning that "real-time" update might take an hour or two to fully refresh after a deal closes. Also, many reps wish there was a dedicated mobile app for faster access to those dashboards when you're on the go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great customer service and product - 2025 UPDATE: still great"
5/5
What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?

CaptivateIQ is a great commission calculator platform. The team helping us implement new plans has been super helpful and responsive. The new what-if calculator is very helpful. The platform also does a great job facilitating and tracking reviews and approvals of payouts.

2025 UPDATE: I still think CaptivateIQ is a great platform. They have done a lot to update their user interface and functionality, and they continue to add new features. We have built out several plans over the years, and I appreciate the increased flexibility of the platform to handle multiple plans and calculations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

I have yet to experience any issues with CaptivateIQ. We haven't set up a sync with our GL system yet, but that's on us, not the capabilities of the product. I'm not familiar enough with the reporting capabilities, but I imagine they are as good as everything else. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Commission Tracking and Transparent Performance Insights"
4.5/5
What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?

I like seeing my monthly commission in a single spot. It makes me feel confident knowing I’m being paid what I should be paid, and I can easily raise questions through the platform if something looks off. CaptivateIQ makes it simple to track my monthly commissions and overall progress toward my yearly goals, so I always know where I stand.

The layout is clean and easy to understand, even if you’re not super technical. I also appreciate how quickly updates or adjustments show up, it makes the process feel transparent and trustworthy. Overall, it’s a helpful tool for staying on top of commissions and performance without having to chase down reports or spreadsheets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

I don’t think this is necessarily a CaptivateIQ issue, but more how my company has the workspace set up. Sometimes I have to switch between the current and previous year to see what I’m getting paid—or to check if something is a clawback from the year before. Since I’m paid annually on total contract value (TCV) deals, I often have to flip between 2024 and 2025, which can get a little confusing. It’s probably more of a setup or user error than a CaptivateIQ problem, but it can make tracking payments slightly less seamless Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Captivate your attention on your commissions!"
5/5
What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?

Easily see your commissions by month. We have a fairly complex Comp plan and have found the numbers are accurate when I compare to an actual calculator and writing the dollars down. I really like how I can see not only current month but future month commission tracking as well. The info pulls from SFDC "Closed Won" and is marked properly when it pulls to CaptivateIQ. In the event something is missed or mis-marked, what is missed is also easy to see for reconciliation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

I would like to offer for the end user to have the ability to move the dashboards around to what is important to me at the top of the form. I know currently, this is controlled at the Company level but would be nice to have this control at the user level for a unique user dashboard. But this is a small ask compared to what CaptivateIQ does. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easily capture what's most important to your sales reps - Their Paycheck"
5/5
What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?

I love the transparency it gives me in my commissions, how much is paid out and why. What affected the paycheck from prior cancellations, etc. Super easy for an end user and the clarity can't be beat! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

Captivate IQ can be a little complex to set up. Maybe it was just my org but it seemed to take 6+ months to get set up and rolled out, and even now many people don't use it effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This is an easy, user-friendly application for viewing commission breakdowns. I also like how simply clicking the link in the email takes you straight to a well-organized breakdown. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

I haven’t had anything bad or negative to say about the application itself. I’m sure there’s always development and improvement in the works, but it’s been a great app to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"CaptivateIQ gives me full clarity on my commissions and payments"

What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?

As an Account Executive, one of the things I value most about CaptivateIQ is the transparency and accuracy in tracking my commissions month after month. I can see in real time how much I’ve earned and what I will receive in my upcoming payments, which helps me plan my finances better. The interface is very intuitive, and the ability to view a detailed breakdown of my payments gives me confidence that everything is correctly calculated. Additionally, the platform automatically updates with my sales, avoiding manual errors and ensuring that my commissions are accurately reflected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

Overall, the platform is excellent, but at first, it can take some time to get familiar with all the features. However, once you understand how it works, the system is very easy to use, and accessing information is quick and seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy and simple to use"
5/5
What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?

What stands out most about CaptivateIQ is its flexibility and adaptability. The platform makes it easy to design and manage tailored compensation plans that meet the unique needs of any business. Its intuitive interface simplifies commission tracking and management, while real-time insights empower sales teams and leaders to make fast, data-driven decisions. Plus, seamless integrations with other tools make CaptivateIQ a powerful and efficient solution for managing sales compensation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

One area where CaptivateIQ could be enhanced is in handling more complex compensation structures, particularly for organizations with intricate commission models. While the platform offers extensive customization, fully understanding and configuring all the settings can take time. Additionally, the reporting features could be more intuitive, as generating certain reports may require a deeper familiarity with the platform’s functionality.
