  ### 1. I use most of the Capital Suite to assist with Airframe design

**What do you like best about Capital?**

The integration between the different suites (i.e. Capital Logic and Capital Harness Designer). It helps to be able to trace the flows and data through the design.
I also find it really useful for it to seamlessly link to Teamcentre Unified as a PLM tool.

**What do you dislike about Capital?**

I think it would be useful for it to incorporate a bit more AI into the tool, such as possible recommendations for improvements.
Additionally it would be good to have a native system for Design Rule Checks to verify all the ports have been connected etc...

**What problems is Capital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem I feel Capital is solving for me is to have a fully integrated solution, and being able to transition from one tool (e.g. Capital Logic) into a physical solution such as NX. I find this especially helpful when doing modifications post design.

**What do you like best about Capital?**

I like that the SSO was extremely simple to set up, making it way easier than Teamcenter. Also, it adds a layer of security, which is important because we can't add users until we have SSO. The initial setup of Capital was very easy, although we had some hiccups, but that was unique to our network.

**What do you dislike about Capital?**

I'm not a fan of the integration with NX/TC. I want a cleaner integration between those via workflows and management of who owns the data. I want release statuses driving actionability in Capital from Teamcenter. Last time I looked at that bridge was several versions ago. I use it stand alone right now because the integrations we could not get working and don't have time to dedicate to it.

**What problems is Capital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solve electronic problems with Capital, transitioning from 2D drawings to full CAD models and electrical packages. The easy SSO setup is crucial, simplifying user addition and adding a security layer.

Capital is a suite with a database behind it. What I like is that the data can be reused across different subject areas. I use it together with all the tools from the suite. It creates release data and runs on weekends or in the background.

**What do you dislike about Capital?**

**What do you like best about Capital?**

I Like that we have the capability to integrate with Teamcenter. This is important for the continuity of the digital thread.

**What do you dislike about Capital?**

Even though it seems like this is a Siemens product it does not easily integrate with team center so we have been struggling with the integration plan. It also is an issue when you decide to do the integration later rather than at the inception.

**What problems is Capital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do a lot of harness design and one of the things that is challenging is that it seems that we have a separate instance of the harness routed item inside of team center for space claims, and capitalize on the actual design. I appreciate that they are separate problems to solve, but it makes a challenging because we are going back-and-forth between the two pieces of software and they’re not linked

Capital is easy to use as a system schematic and wiring design tool, even for new users. It includes a central component library where parts can be shared and reused across projects, which helps keep designs consistent. Capital should improve and enhance its connectivity modeling capability to enable digital thread and become a true model based engineering tool.

I love Capital's reporting ability because it allows us to audit our designs and easily determine the scope of widespread engineering changes. Being able to filter by properties and attributes against various electrical and non-electrical subcomponents lets us quickly find potential problems and uses across projects.

**What do you dislike about Capital?**

Capital component manager is not very well integrated with our other design libraries. It is difficult to find issues and time consuming to correct them.

**What problems is Capital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Capital helps us bridge the gap between 3D routing and 2D electrical design. It automates a large number of elements that contribute to a comprehensive harness design and reduces opportunities for human error.

**What do you like best about Capital?**

1) It is very easy to create components and designs in Capital Logic Designer, as easy as using paint!
2) Different Types of Analysis are available to verify the circuit designs created by the user. Example: Closed Circuit analysis, Voltage drop analysis, etc.
3) Capital is very easy and convenient to integrate with CAD software designs. (Not Capital Essentials)
4) Inbuuild Library is good enough and easy to add new Library content as well.
5) Provides a complete Electrical System Design Environment, which helps to manage the roles, documentation, data continuity, and reduces miscommunication.

**What do you dislike about Capital?**

1) Capital Essentials is a very basic version and lacks many basic functionalities, and the full version, i.e, Capital, is expensive.
2) Although it is easy to create electrical designs, it is not that easy to learn the overall tool with the limited amount of free information available on the internet.
3) You cannot do Customization in the Capital Essentials version, and even if you want customization in Capital (Full Version), a separate license needs to be purchased for the same.

Capital helps to create Schematic Data and Harness Designs that help in Electrical component manufacturing.

I find Capital to be a significant upgrade from previous software, especially in allowing me to work directly from schematics. I particularly like the parts lists creation feature from diagrams, which adds a lot of value. Additionally, I appreciate being able to start from requirements and flow seamlessly through the design process without having to start fresh at each phase.

**What do you dislike about Capital?**

Shared objects is a challenge with so many customer configurations. We had to turn it off.

Capital upgrades our process by enabling work from schematics and generating parts lists from diagrams. It allows us to flow from requirements through the design process seamlessly.

Capital could use some work with guides, tool tips, etc. It's not easy to pick up and use immediately.

I like that it can be used for Change Management - from identifying the change, impact and the approval process.

**What do you dislike about Capital?**

I attended a talk on Change Management using Capital and it showed the engineer identifying all the impacted components for the proposed change.  I have a product recommendation - I know that not all engineers will know what ALL the components are that will be impacted by the change.  Why can't the software help engineers with making sure nothing is missed by displaying all the related components to the component that is being changed and then being able to select those for adding to the impacted screen instead of a manual entry.

We currently use TeamCenter.

All needed design tools are in one place and connected.
It is very important that this is part of the Siemens portfolio to enable end2end digital thread.

capital is an enterprise-level ECAD design tool, in the capital suite of applications we can create a design for any project from the ideation level to the realization level, it is one of the best tools in the market for electrical designing. it is easy to use, it can integrate with MCAD like NX CATIA,PROE

**What do you dislike about Capital?**

Not much dislike about Capital, the cost of the software is a little bit expensive and it will take time to learn the software as a new user.

**What problems is Capital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. capital is used in the electrical designing domain which can solve the complexity of the electrical circuits, electrical wire harness design, and manufacturing processes. 
2. capital can simulate the DC electrical circuits and from that, we can analyze the voltage drop and sneak path of the circuit.
3. capital has an automation feature, it can automatically select preferred harness manufacturing components and calculate the harness engineering calculation.

I'd like a stronger tie to Capital to Teamcenter where releases, item revision creation, etc are pushed and synced instantly

I like how the Capital ecosystem  supports the overall process  of systems & wiring design rather than just a small portion of the valuestream. The configurability of Capital is a big plus, enabling support for various use-cases and integration into existing processes. A key differentiator is the rich data-set that Capital can produce allowing true digitization of data as well as a large number of design checks that it enables. The SDK that comes with Capital is powerful as well.

The Capital system doesn't allow easy integration with other systems.

It is not clear how to connect other tools within the suite. For example, connecting sysml tools and capital is not straightforward and no approach proves to be robust.
